My 88-year old aunt recently went to Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center for in-patient physical…read moretherapy after being discharged from the hospital. I'm sorry to report that the care there is NOT good. In fact, it's terrible. My cousin (a nurse) said that she had to have confrontations with the staff on a DAILY basis because they were "horrible." The aids are rude and hostile foreigners, who barely speak English. Here is one example of the mistreatment my aunt received: Despite having communicated very clearly that my aunt is severely allergic to wheat gluten, the kitchen has REPEATEDLY sent her gluten-containing foods. Naturally, this causes my aunt's stomach to get "upset." She wasn't able to get to the bathroom on time. When this happened, the nurse's aide scolded her and said, "Look at the mess you made!" My aunt was taken aback and said, "Do you think I wanted this to happen??" Then, to make matters worse, she said that the aide was very rough with her as she was cleaning her. What kind of disrespectful nursing care is that??!! My aunt is supposed to have physical therapy, daily, but my cousin said that, many times, "she stays in bed all day." When she does have PT, it is good, but there just isn't enough of it. Half of the time, my cousin said, she would go in to visit, and my aunt wouldn't have her oxygen on! Then, the nurses would proceed to argue with her about whether or not she needed it. (My aunt has fluid in her lungs from cancer!) It hasn't even been a full week yet and we want to transfer her out of this place. I can't believe Mary Ann Morse has the AUDACITY to treat our elderly citizens this way, and then send a bill to insurance and our government, calling it "healthcare." Do I need to I say anything more? Beware! Do NOT go here!

The care she received at Maryann Morse from the staff there could not have been better. Her therapists were attentive and taught my family great ideas to care for her at home and she ended up spending a lot of time laughing with her roommate. It is great to see the difference being there made for her and my family. I am out of state and the communication was outstanding. This was very scary for us as a family and I couldn't be more grateful to the staff for their kindness and understanding. It is the people in a facility that make it what it is and you can't find a better group.

I can't say enough about the Eliot. They are caring, knowegable and do their very best to cater to your needs. The nursing staff are wonderful as well as their very skilled physical therapy group. The Eliot is spotless. I am currently there for treatment and feel like I'm back at home. I also volunteered there for a year wanting to show my gratitude for all they have done. Even at the end of the day at the Eliot, there is a wonderful moment of peace as you can sit in the garden by the gazebo and watch the birds and squirrels. I would, obviously, highly recommend the Eliot for a caring, speedy recovery!!

I'd give negative stars if I could! This place is SO BAD, I'm not even sure where to begin. I'll…read morestart with telling you that if you care one iota about your loved one, DO NOT, under any circumstance, let them be sent here!! There is a reason this facility has beds available...Because it is literally SATAN'S PLAYGROUND!!! This place is UNSAFE AND UNSANITARY! The staff couldn't be more uncaring. Your loved one will at the least be completely neglected, at the most, be hurt due to man-handling. The patients here are the ones running the asylum! There is no organization. The staff (with the exception of Maria and the woman who does the laundry) are at the least, lazy at the most, almost non-existent. There is hardly ever anyone around to help with anything. None of the staff seem to be able to answer even the simplest of questions. Ask them a question and I promise they will just stare right through you. Try to get help with an issue, forget it! Had to ask for soap in the bathroom for almost 3 weeks. The stench, well that will make you want to vomit and will stay in your hair and nose for hours. Try to leave and good luck finding someone who might know the code to the elevator or find a person at the front desk to let you leave the building. I had to wait 13 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to let me out. This place is absolutely disgusting. I had no choice but to have my loved one sent here. Hospital said it was the only place that had a bed available. That doesn't surprise me because anyone who has a loved one here will get them out ASAP!! I IMPLORE YOU, PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! If you see any good reviews here, be weary. I honestly wonder if ppl were paid to write them!

this is a horriable place - do not bring your loved ones here - this is truly a crappy rehab place…read morethat does not do the correct rehab for patients, and the case workers do not really care about their patients. case worker tina needs to be fired she is a liar and has only made everything worse for my family. make sense this place owns fairlawn rehab in worcester and that place is one of the worst places to ever go to. both places should be shut down! do not get fooled by the star rating on google this is a very bad place! my father 65 years old disabled veterans had major spin surgery at brigham women's, that hospital is fantastic by the way, he was doing good. but once he was moved to this horriable place encompass rehab in framingham ma everything went down hill for the worst. his major issue is the extreme pain in right leg which is the cause of not walking well. i found out later most of his rehab was sitting in chair with bunch of 80-year-olds and doing arm movements. i found out every time he was in too much pain they just gave him another oxy. if he could not sleep, they just gave him more oxy. this place is just drugging up patients, so they do not need to deal with them. tina the lying case worker told me he will have the same medications available when he leaves to go home. but on pick up day i was told they have been giving him 10mg of oxy plus valium every 4 hours, but he will be cut down by going home to 5mg every 6 hours. i would think the cut down on pain medz would be done in rehab first... wouldn't that make more sense to do. i also had to take 2 days off from work one day to come in for a person to talk to me for 10mins on stuff my father will be able to do when he leaves. tina the lying case worker insured me that my father was able to dress himself / shower / go to the bathroom and wipe himself on his own / she told me that an in-person nurse will come to the house, and we will have rehab pt people come to the house as well. but on the very last day the day i was there to pick him up tina the lying case worker told me this has all changed that a nurse and rehab people will not be coming to the house and that we will have to get him to all the appointments. all this talk about him being able to do stuff on his own was a lie. he can't even put his shirt on without help. he peed the bed every single night multiply times. encompass owns my parents 2 new mattresses, it should come out of tina the lying case worker paycheck. father was able to see his va doctors who was extremely shocked on why he was let out of rehab so early. va doctor got in house nurse and pt to come to the house the pt persons aid the same thing why did they let him out he did not ready the in-house nurse same thing was shocked he was not in rehab, and she even said he needs go back in. then yesterday we had to go see the appointment with surgent and my father doing so bad they had us drive him back to the er of bridgman women in boston. now we found out he has a facture and he is going back into surgery. this is all encompasses fault they just kicked my father out way to early they also told us wrong information his condition. the doctor ordered him to be in rehab for months and encompass lied to use saying that's not true, but it was. they also told us wrong information on his spin disease, and they did my father's medications wrong. i just found this out yesterday 5/6/2026. i called and asked to talk to management i talked to lisa and she was useless. she was supposed to get me head nurse to talk to, but she did not! no one calls me back! i have been calling over and over many times to talk to management and all i get is lies form everyone on the phone. i want to talk to the director of case management and the admninistrator now! do not bring your loved ones here - this is truly a crappy rehab place!!! with extremely horrible management!
