After 2 days he cleaned up and I was ready to get in and put new Sheetrock up. I did find a little more while working on an area and contacted Josh who coordinated with Phill to stop by and check. He arrived the next day and not only took care of what I found but opened up a wider area and treated that was well to give me peace of mind. I had water damage in the basement of a rental property I own that occurred in early July 2021. The company came out to assess the situation in a timely manner. After weeks of telling me they were doing work and setting dehumidifiers, it turned out they had been doing the work on a neighbors home and not at my property! Despite this egregious mistake on their behalf, I was understanding of their mistake under the assumption they would surely finish work on the unit they were contracted to do work on in a timely manner. On September 13th, I visited the property and nothing has been done. Their machines were left running in my basement for weeks, mold is growing in the carpets and the walls, and they will not return phone calls or even attempt to rectify the situation. Jason Roberts, the general manager has told me twice they will be out to the property and has clearly not shown up on either occasion. Dave the owner is lackluster and was not even aware that the work was not completed and seemingly had no idea they even made a mistake. Every situation is different and your experience with Class One may be different than ours…read more Based on the insurance estimate, our restoration from a garage fire and interior smoke damage was expected to take approximately 4-6 months to complete. With our project, the majority of work was completed after about 8 months, which was the longest that the insurance would permit our rental housing to be paid. We moved back into the house before some of the final work had been completed. Looking back, scheduling could have been done better to keep the project moving and on schedule. As Class One was a new company when we contracted with them, some sub-contractors had to be vetted and eventually replaced, which added time to the project. Some of the sub-contractors were not of the highest quality or dependable, which led to some of these being replaced during the project. These are the pains of a new business that is growing and expanding. The warranty period after job completion is one year. We had some communication breakdowns during the contract period that led to confusion regarding what was covered under warranty. This was eventually resolved. The owner will work closely with your insurance to insure that all areas that need addressed are included in the restoration.
