We both ordered the beef tacos... there is no worrying about asking "where's the beef?!!" There is a lot of filling in each taco. There is mouth bursting flavor in all of it. Just look at my pictures!! I recommend! We'll be back!!

I went there for lunch (late afternoon) on 1/22/26. It was dead. Not a single customer in a very…read morelarge restaurant. The staff was friendly, took our order right away. I ordered the two taco combo that comes with 2 tacos, chips and salsa and a drink. My daughter ordered the chicken and cheese quesadilla that comes with a side of queso. First part of our order came quickly, chips and salsa. It was basic, I won't complain about it as chips and salsa are pretty good anywhere. I chose the shrimp taco and the limited time crab cake taco. The crab cake taco was not edible. It was so salty that I could barely swallow the one bite I took. The shrimp taco was fair, the mango salsa made it tolerable but I was disappointed. My daughter's quesadilla was basic. She said she wouldn't order it again but ate most of it. The queso was gross, I think it was meant to be a chili con queso but I can't be sure. We ended up ordering the sopapillas. Um, those were not sopapillas. The were strips of tortilla soaked in oil, like they tried to fry them, and then unevenly sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. That was disappointing because sopapillas are usually so good. All and all we give it a 2/10 & that feels generous but the place was clean and the staff was friendly. I really try to give places at least 2 opportunities, but since I can get so much better tacos in a lot other places, I won't be back.

Since this was our first visit here, we had to order our comparison dishes. Those are guacamole, birria tacos and street tacos. When we received the chips and salsa, I noticed the salsa lacked some cilantro, but had a unique flavor, different from our other favorite Mexican food establishments. My wife was really fond of it, but said it was ok. I really liked it, even if it lacked cilantro. The guacamole came out and it looked like my guac that make at home. It was very good, didn't need any additional salt and was not overpowering in lime. I'd give it 10/10. My wife ordered the chicken street tacos. She said they were the best out of all the places we go. The chicken was flavorful and the tortillas didn't fall apart. It came with a tomatillo crema that was infused with jalapeños and was too spicy for her. I got the Birria tacos and they were especially good with the crema. The birria consumé was excellent. The rice was fluffy and tender and the refried beans were on point. They serve Coke products which includes Coke Zero and they were quick with the refills. We will definitely put this place as #2 on our list of go-to Mexican cuisine establishments. They are located in the Rose District, so the prices will be slightly higher, but it's still worth the visit.

My husband and I shared the steak fajitas and wow were they tasty. We met friends and had a wonderful night out. The sangria swirl was just what I needed! We'll definitely be back and I can't wait for nicer weather so we can sit on the outdoor patio and have a drink. Inside was decorated cute and service was top notch!

I did notice that the parking lot is sometimes packed with dilapidated vehicles, service trucks and vans. For years, my assumption was La Reyna was an auto parts store, until I saw the restaurant sign. Hmmmm. The curb appeal as a restaurant was less than enticing. Couldn't be much of one. Having eaten at hundreds of these gritty little hole in the wall family operated restaurants, my experiences set my expectations; authentic, but bland Mexican food. I read the reviews some favorable and some unfavorable. No matter, I'm going in today. Inside a store, restaurant and cantina. The whole frickin' place was being ran by a very nice young lady. She was mixing Cheladas behind the bar and delivering them along with big glass mugs of ceviche to the customers in the bar area. A half a dozen construction workers; bright yellow safety shirts and muddy boots, in for a mid afternoon lunch. In between managing the cantina, she took care of the customers in the store and waited on patrons in the restaurant. She was hustling. The service was a little slow, tolerable, but worth the wait especially when the reward of delicious plates of food arrived. My wife and I were the only gringos in the restaurant. The food was exceptional. I had some of the best most flavorful Mexican food that I have ever had in a small restaurant like this. Starting with the chunky fresh guacamole, fresh salsa and hot crisp tortilla chips. The guac had chunks of ripe avocado, jalapenos, tomato and cilantro. Truly the best I have had. For me a huarache, a shoe size 13 plate full, loaded with spicy pastor, covered with salad and queso fresco. My wife had the enchiladas verde. Three corn tortillas packed with seasoned chicken and covered with green sauce. Absolutely delicious flavorful food. Nothing bland. Check the pictures. Your experience may vary. Ours food was fantastic. La Reyna is an overlooked sleeper in Broken Arrow.
