Unfortunately, my eggs were a bit better done than I like them, but the meal was still edible, while we were eating and our friends were waiting for their food, the waitress admitted that they were short staffed by 2 people (you could really tell!) Later on, we heard they had run out of eggs. Although it is an interesting place, with an eclectic menu, and it's not next door for us, I would not be in a hurry to go back. I would give it one more chance, though, in a while, hoping they get their staffing issues sorted.

The coffee was slightly bitter for my taste, but overall it was good and I enjoyed it. I also ordered an almond bear claw. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it contained raisins, and I'm not a fan of raisins, so I probably wouldn't have chosen it had I known. That said, the pastry itself was fresh and tasty, and the raisins were more of a personal preference issue than a problem with the food. My wife ordered an iced chai latte and absolutely loved it. She often finds chai lattes to be watered down, but she said this one was perfectly sweet, full of flavor, and one of the better ones she's had. The cafe itself is cute, very clean, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely order from here again.

We were sat outside in the patio, and got to see the wood fire ovens in action! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were probably the last table sat for the night and they still made time to serve us! We shared a pizza and a salad -- both were delicious! Would love to try other pizzas next time I'm in town. The only downside was all the bugs and mosquitos that kept bothering us but I guess that is to be expected for the summer. I found this place early on, and it quickly became cemented into our Saturday morning routine. These are top tier donuts I'd compare to any other revered place you've been to. I don't normally go for headlights, but here they're my first choice because the frosting is perfect. Even the simple donuts are a straight up euphoric experience. They don't do food outside of donuts and sometimes some other baked goods. Then they have a full coffee/espresso menu. This past summer they started using the location for the Afternoon Scoop, where they're not afraid to combine these donuts with soft serve or Perry's ice cream. And huge bonus points to them for staying open through the winter. It definitely gets expensive coming here. I may just be out of touch with normal prices, but it feels kind of high here, with donuts starting at $2.00 a piece. The only other drawback is that they can sell out any time. Some mornings I show up at 10:00 and there's almost nothing left. If anything, it speaks to the quality of the product, and you can always get around it by showing up early.

It takes dedication and attention to deal. Here the proof is in the first bite. Here I think there is something for everyone from the more standard donut to the more premium. I was delighted when I found they have pistachio flavor for your latte. I've been asking around for the past two years when I first had a pistachio latte in the Adirondacks of all places. Again, it was a nice diverge from the normal and the everyday. I give the new owners and staff props for braving this new economy and hope they continue with what they have going.

The Long Version: My husband and I met my husband's sister and her husband here to hang out before we went to see a show at the Studio Theatre. I got a cinnamon bun ($3.50) and a herbal tea ($3.50), and my husband got a black coffee ($2.75). The cinnamon bun was unremarkable in my opinion. It was just ok, maybe even a bit dry, and also on the thin side. Not thick and fluffy. My tea was just a tea bag from Four O'clock Teas (I got Turmeric Cinnamon, which at least is a more unusual flavour that I haven't seen in stores). The temperature was nice and hot, but it was just bagged tea from a brand sold in health food stores. The inside of the cafe is nice. We sat in the front room near the service counter, but there are back rooms that are a bit more quiet. I would say the ambiance is the nicest thing. Service was pleasant. Maybe some of their other baked goods have more oomph and maybe their crafted drinks are special. My experience was just ok, but it might have been what I ordered.
