It's honestly not that hard to make a good submarine sandwich at home, if you care to start with great buns from a real bakery and pick up some quality meats from a good deli. That's what makes it such a shame when you go to the popular chain sub shops. They're okay... but really, you can do so much better yourself if you're looking for a cold cut sandwich. The subs here are one size (large), the buns are soft and fresh, and they slice your meats right in front of you while preparing your sandwich.

As I walked in I was greeted nicely then felt rushed as person taking order spoke loudly what I wanted, pick choice of chips and drink. (I was the only one in the place). I placed my order, Ham Overboard panini which has ham off the bone, warmed Brie and honey mustard for 10.75. The sandwich didn't blow me away. It had 2 pieces of ham, 2 pieces of Brie which was not spread onto the sandwich... just place in 2 different spots so I did not get the Brie in every bite. I expected more filling. I'm not usually in the area, but probably will go back to this place to try something else.

The restaurant is nice and clean, with lots of tables, and comfortable seating. There is only one washroom for men and one for women, and another family washroom. This was perfect location wise just being a short distance from our hotel. Getting into the area early Saturday morning meant tons of street parking so that was no issue. Stepping inside they have plenty of seating and I can imagine it would be a perfect spot to study for college classes for the students. The space was open and felt inviting. Service was friendly and quick with no issues. One worker taking care of drinks while another worked on the food with the one more free taking orders. They have most of what you would expect a coffee spot to have drink wise for both coffee and teas with seasonal and special flavors too. Food wise they have loads of breakfast and lunch bagel sandwich options with a good variety of bagel flavors to change it up as well. Drink wise my wife got their pumpkin latte seasonal and loved it, while I got the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte that was solid once mixed a little more. Food wise we both liked the sound of their Lumberjack that came with two eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, and a maple syrup drizzle. We differed on our bagel choice with my wife picking cinnamon raisin and I chose cinnamon French toast. Both bagels were delicious and well made and the sandwiches were tasty just would likely ask for either lighter maple syrup or none next time. Made quite a mess and made it a bit too sweet but no real complaints. We were happy to try this spot out and would be a spot we would frequent if we were local! Good drinks and tasty bagels with really endless choices for sandwiches when you consider all the bagel choices. If you want a bagel meal if you are in the area check this place out!
