We stayed here a couple of months ago and let me be the first to tell you that we simply can't say enough good things about this place and the staff. As with most great companies, it all starts with ownership. So let's meet Todd & Jen, the owners of Rec-Out SoCal, but don't tell them I told you. If you choose to stay here, you'll almost surely meet them and not even know that you're actually dealing with the owners. In regards to the daily operations of this location, they are extremely hands on, and without question, two of the most humble and hospitable people you will ever meet. We refer to them as T.J. because to us, it's evident that they are unified and clearly dedicated to doing whatever's necessary to making your experience a pleasurable one. I've read a review on here where someone had a bad customer service experience at this location. It was quite the opposite for us! I'm not minimizing the interpretation of one's own personal experience but I'll say this. Glamping (glamourous camping) here at Lake Perris Recreation Area is an outdoor adventure, not a Las Vegas luxury resort hotel experience, though it can be much more enjoyable. It really comes down to having realistic expectations and having respect and admiration for the beautiful outdoor environment. As far as we're concerned, we were completely blown away by Rec-Out SoCal's Glamping experience. You'll begin by renting one of the modern, fully-equipped trailers. There are upgrades for your stay such as a charcoal grille or a griddle for cooking meals outdoors, if you don't wish to cook on the stove inside your trailer. There are many other amenities included in the trailer and you'll even have your own private outdoor area with picnic bench, lighted gazebo, hammock, fire pit with camping chairs, an assortment of outdoor games, and a breathtaking, picturesque view of the lake. You'll be briefed on all of these things during the check-in period. I will always recommend this glamping site to anyone who is looking to enjoy the great outdoors, while still having access to modern household amenities. Briefly put, this is where the rugged outdoors and the breathtaking beauty of nature meets unparalleled comfort and convenience. Pair this, along with having the most pleasant, helpful, and courteous staff you can imagine, and you have the formula for one of the greatest outdoor experiences of a lifetime. But this is only where things begin to take shape, as you literally get to tailor your experience to your personal desires. Available for rent, and for very reasonable prices are watercrafts, such as fishing & pontoon boats to potentially steer you to your next trophy bass catch or to cruise the lake and simply enjoy the incredible surrounding views. There are also E-bikes available for rent so you can take a nice, peaceful ride around the entire lake if you choose (roughly a 9 mile loop) or just cruise around the many beach areas, shoreline fishing spots, or many other locations at this amazing site. There's so many good things to be said about this place, the owners, and staff. We'll be heading back just as soon as time allows, as we are very much looking forward to our next glamping experience with Rec-Out SoCal at Lake Perris Recreational Area. I would not recommend staying at the glamping sites at Rec-Out SoCal. We stayed for two nights, check in was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m Friday but the manager/owner took quite a while because she was helping other guest then proceeded to give us an orientation of RV which took an extra hour. If this is the case they need to make check in time sooner, by the time we were done it was about 4pm. We even left early Sunday because we were so disappointed with our stay. The customer service was extremely poor. No one ever checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was okay or if we needed anything. We had to go out of our way just to ask for basic necessities like toilet paper, which should have already been stocked or at least monitored. Online it states that 1 RV is equipped "enough" for up to 8 people, that was not the case. In the RV we rented it was 4 adults and 2 kids, and even then after taking the 3 minute showers that they recommended we were still short on water. The accommodations looked nothing like the videos and pictures they advertise online. The online photos make the glamping sites look clean, spacious, and well-maintained, but the reality was very different. The trailer and surrounding area were dirty, covered in spider webs, even smelled like sewer our entire stay. We even found used coffee grounds from the previous people in the coffee machine. It definitely did not feel clean or properly prepared for guests. Several of the appliances either didn't work properly or were unreliable, making the stay even more frustrating. Fridges inside RV and mini fridge outside weren't cooling enough, lights outside were not working. We also felt very limited when it came to water usage, which wasn't made clear beforehand and made the experience inconvenient. When told to manager/owner all they said was " other places only give you 30 something gallons" One of the biggest disappointments was the complete lack of privacy. People constantly walked through the glamping area, and many even stepped over the ropes that are supposed to separate the campsites just to get to the marina. It felt like there was no respect for guests' space, and management didn't seem to enforce the boundaries at all. For the price, we expected a much better experience. Instead, we felt like we spent the weekend dealing with inconveniences rather than relaxing. The property has potential because the location is beautiful, but it seems poorly maintained and customer service is lacking. Don't let the photos and promotional videos fool you, they set expectations that the actual experience doesn't meet. We left early because we simply didn't enjoy our stay. Save yourself the money and choose another campground or glamping destination. There are much better places where you'll get cleaner accommodations, better service, and far more value for your money. We will NOT be returning to Rec Out and strongly discourage others from renting their so-called "glamping" trailers. We booked one of their three trailers for the weekend -- and were the only ones who did. That should've been a red flag. The trailer itself was clean and had a nice view, and I even encouraged our family to have dinner at our site in hopes they'd consider renting here in the future. That changed quickly. The owner chose to sleep in the trailer right next to us, which already felt invasive. Later, he rudely interrupted our family dinner to lecture us about quiet hours -- which hadn't even started yet -- and told us our family "had to leave" the area in 15 minutes. His tone was condescending and completely unnecessary. We've camped at Lake Perris many times and know the rules. Quiet hours mean turning off loud music -- not kicking your guests out. Even a Park Ranger confirmed that. There were plenty of respectful ways to address any concerns, but the owner's approach was anything but. After this experience, we'll never rent from them again -- and we'll be sure to let others know why. read more

Very bad. We rented a fishing boat. There is a minimum of two hours. However, we ran out of gas after one hour. We had no cell service and no way to contact these people they don't even tell you about emergency situations. We flagged down a few people and this process was uncomfortable and kind of scary, took a very long time. Instead of finding us themselves they sent other customers to send us gas. Wow. It. Took. A. Lonnngggg. Time. I am sunburnt and so is my 5 year old. I cannot believe they had these other customers deliver the gas. The kicker and the reason I wrote this: When we get back the worker mocked us and said you sure it was the gas? No apology nothing. You sure you ran out? My husband even showed him the first gas can empty AND he was smirking like this was funny. What on earth. If I weren't with my child I would have gone to town on this guy. The nerve. Doesn't ask if we were ok while totally stranded for god knows how long. If you own this establishment my family went Sunday April 21st. He was the only worker there. Please fire him. This was our first time renting an RV. However what sold us was the RV site overlooked Lake Perris and the view was breathtaking. The RV came fully equipped with linen, dishes, stove, frig and microwave. the campsite had some awesome amenities including a hammock, Gazebo, picnic tables and firepit complete with chairs for a spectacular bonfire experience Our family had an unforgettable family holiday experience that will last a lifetime. What a fantastic experience and phenomenal customer service! Our son is joining the military and one of the items on his list before leaving home was to go jet skiing. I called a few rentals and left VM but no one called back. So I contacted Todd at JT Rental and he was very professional. He explained the rental process and we took care of the whole rental agreement and payments online. On the morning of the pickup, the jet skis and trailer was ready to go. He was very thorough in going over the requirements for the inspection at the lake. He pointed out what the park rangers/inspector will be looking for and he wants to ensure there are no delays upon our arrival. I did not have a trailer hitch ball mount and Todd was very kind to offer one. The jet skis were latest models and super fun on the water. Overall, a great experience! The best part... our son had a blast with a great big smile at the end of the day ! We thank you for helping create a beautiful memory before he leaves for the armed forces. We recently were on our annual family trip to Balboa Island and rented two jet skis for the day from Todd. We had the best time. Todd was amazing. He was responsive and helpful. We opted to have the jet skis delivered and he was flexible and accommodating on time in order to maximize our family time with the jet skis. He included the life vest for our entire group of 6 and was sure everyone had the proper fit. He was very thorough in explaining everything to us and prepared us for a great experience. The jet skis were top of the line, practically brand new and ran great. The return process was smooth after our day and Todd was genuinely invested in the happiness of our family. Everything was handled over phone easily through calls, text or email and there were no additional, surprise expenses. We received our deposit return quickly as well. Thank you Todd.
