I wish I knew about this place before. They take your old items and refresh and sell them. We took our old light fixtures. They were really friendly. They also take those pesky styrofoam shipping peanuts and packing materials. Furniture, old cabinets. Don't trash your old stuff, recycle them here. They even have an EV charging station. read more

Great place to recycle everything from a dresser, furniture, even sinks! They will come to pick it up which is a bonus.. they don't take anything with fabric like a sofa or padded chair, or blinds. They accept leftover tile from you bathroom upgrade! read more

10 Stars! I'm obsessed with ERW, and I could literally spend hours getting lost wandering around the warehouse. If you're someone like me who appreciates getting lost in a sea of architectural finds, you'll love it here. The new location is still really new, but it's becoming AMAZING (shouting)! ERW just moved to their newly renovated very large warehouse, so they are still filling the shelves and bringing things out of their storage. However, there is still plenty to see. Per my last review, the original location was packed and it made it hard to discover items (also kind of fun in a way...like a treasure hunt). Here, you can move about freely and browse. If you're working on a project and want to recycle, repurpose, and save money by purchasing salvaged items from old house tear downs and donations from others, please make the visit. And, keep coming back, because they get items weekly, and they are also working on unpacking and will soon have a dedicated lumber area. Parking out front and space to load up. This is an amazing home supplies store for new and used items , i was in a budget to remodel my 2 bathrooms in my house and they were having a free giveaway on sinks toilets and tubs. I got 2 sinks and 1 toilet and it was even delivered to my vehicle in the parking lot. I would definitely be bringing the business back to them whenever I need to buy any hard to find equipment and building supplies. Gosh i love Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse. The people are unfailingly helpful. It's well organized. And I've had workers spend half an hour with me looking for an inexpensive window to put in a chicken coop. Nobody made fun of me, or the chickens. So far I've replaced bathroom cabinets, light fixtures, a fireplace mantel and I've bought about a zillion other things that are waiting their turn to be restored--which is a self-deluding way of saying I don't have any purpose for them yet, but I couldn't pass them up because they were cool. Again--nobody at Evanston Rebuilding laughs at you about this vice, they understand. If you have a practical thing you need--like a doorknob or a new light fixture, or a faucet--save the planet, a lot of money, and feel good about the fact that it's a non-profit. The money they generate trains young people for work in the trades. And for large items, their delivery fee is quite reasonable. read more

What a treasure trove! It made my heart happy to see so many wonderful things salvaged from local houses instead of in dumps. Was able to get a replacement radiator for my house working with Eric (price was fair), and have been hooked since. So many wonderful cabinets, bathroom fixtures, built-ins and more doors than you could ever need. Also impressive tile collection. For smaller tile projects I would definitely come here first. More white subway tile than you could ever need, and great brands like Ann Sacks and Waterworks. A little dusty, yes. Maybe worth cleaning the toilets (rings) and sinks a little better -- definitely. It would move the bathroom merchandise faster, I think, as well. read more

Super great place to find unique and inexpensive things for your home- little fix it jobs or major renovations. Also the social philosophy of keeping reuseable building materials out of the landfill is good for the environment. With the items donated they have a workforce training programing and lots of wonderful volunteers and staff.I love this place. read more

Hard to locate at first because it's snuggled in between a church and Uhaul. Lots of old and interesting treasures as well as more modern building supplies. Nice people, too! read more
