The place was fully booked - several people were turned away during dinner. Staff and owner here are really friendly, very helpful and extremely attentive. You really feel welcome and taken care of here. Fantastic. After the complementary Amuse Bouche we got our starter: The Foie Gras (duck AND goose). Two generous slices of the best quality. Smooth silky, great flavours. Loved it. Also good to share (since our main was pretty big). Then we went for our main: Bouillabaisse! A rich fish soup, one of THE famous classic french dishes. Here it gets presented in three servings. So it's a pretty big, filling meal. The broth - the soup itself - was really full of wonderful flavours. Great balance of spices and salt. The first plate came with lobster tail. On the side was crispy bread, mustard and shredded cheese. Put the mustard on the bread and the top it with cheese. Put it in the soup, soak it for a short while and eat. Great combination! The second and third serving came with different kinds of fish. All of high quality. All with very few fishbones. After three plates each the Bouillabaisse was gone...and we were pretty full. A really fantastic meal, great Bouillabaisse. It is only served from two people and up. Other items on the menu looked very good as well. But maybe for another time. Definitely a great restaurant. Starter, bottle of Crémant and Bouillabaisse for two for around 150 Euros. Fair price for a Michelin Restaurant of this quality. Highly recommended.

We ate a leisurely three course lunch for 30 euros pp. We were served a free appetizer of tuna with rounds. The first course was a fish soup served with toasted rounds, cheese and a mustard sauce. The seafood salad was outstanding-very fresh and beautifully plated. As for entrees the salmon was spectacular. Served over risotto. The fish and chips were tasty but paled in comparison. The deserts were over the top delicious! Highly recommend making a reservation. A perfect foodie spot!

The prices are also average decent for Swiss food (ranging from CHF 25-45) especially when you take in the quality/care taken in the preparation of the food, and the very good service I get each time I am here. Regionally sourced foods and wines - with the fresh and wholesomeness you'd expect of Swiss cuisine. Vegetarians/Flexitarians will like this place, as their veggie offering has always delighted me such as the seasonal offering of mashed sweet potatoes topped with lentils and roasted shallots. As the menu changes time to time, it makes coming here exciting so don't get stuck on one dish. I did experience one appetizer once a few years ago that I wasn't crazy about (pulpo in soy) but as they can be experimental the things that may not sound right to you off hand is a hit or miss. If you are unsure, I'd suggest asking the friendly, good service wait staff here for recommendations. The slight drawback is that the lay out of this restaurant (as it is located in a market hall) may give the feeling to some that it is a canteen setting in a restaurant, but the excellent services makes up for that lack of character. Also a positive is it can be good for slightly larger groups. Upon my last visit, they even amped up the service by bringing cooked bones in a stainless steel dog bowl for my friend's dog immediately after seating us - and we didn't even ask for it! (We immediately declined it due to concerns over risk of splinters in digestion due to them being cooked) There are also some savvy/traditional appetizer dishes - to which I was fortunate enough to dine with a Swiss foodie/chef here to try them all... I suggest you also nab a Swiss foodie here to try out some of the offerings and see how it goes! As of July 2017, they no longer open on Sundays - I used to go to their brunches on a blue moon.

As it is next to the Zurich Lake it is obviously a nice location, the view is really nice but in my opinion there are other places with the same view and a better menu. While it is called Fisher Fritz (German for Fisherman Fritz), they don't have a wide variety of fish dishes on the menu: they have fried fish and one baked trout. I had the trout and it was just average. However the side salat I did not like: it was swimming in dressing... so much so that I didn't eat it. My friends had the fried fish and said the truffle fries were more tasty than the fish. In addition, the service is not good at all, we had to wait forever, and several mistakes were made, no apologies given. It is a bit out of your way as it isn't in Zurich centre and I don't find it worth to go there as there is many better places at the lake.
