However, the menu is quite limited to sushi related items and very expensive. Except for california roll (16 CHF), most other rolls with more than 2 items (e.g. salmon, cucumber and avocado etc) are around 24-26 CHF for 8 pieces. miso soup is additional 5 CHF. No bento box or noodle soup.. no non-sushi rice bowl (e.g. tonkatzu don or etc.. which could be more filling and cheaper than chirashi or other sushi donburi (rice bowl))... It was very good dinner but 3 rolls, two rice bowls and 1 edamame and 1 veggie small bowl appetizer and 2 beer/1 small sake, these were 200 CHF. Zurich price.. but still seems too much.

They have pre-made selections of bowls and sushi, or you can custom order on their kiosk for dining in or takeaway. We decided to dine in (prices are the same here whether you dine in or takeaway, which is nice). After placing our order on the kiosk, a ticket is printed out for you which you then take to the counter to pay. They give you a buzzer but the sweet gal actually brought our order to the counter table we picked out in the front corner, which was a great spot for people watching. My son and I both selected a make-your-own bowl and got salmon bowls customized with the toppings and sauce we liked (€18ish). They have a selection of wines and beers in the fridge too and I enjoyed a can of chilled Italian red wine (€9). Both of us liked our meals and were too full to get dessert... they have a matcha soft serve with Kit Kat topping that looked really good (€6).

I wanted to order the chicken Katsu bento to go thinking it will be made fresh to order but they just told me to pick up something that's already been pre-made. I didn't want to do it coz I wanted At least something freshly made. So the lady suggested chicken ramen. So I ordered it and 2 bottled water it ended up to 21 CHF ($26) . I said to myself, this better be the best bowl of ramen I've ever had in my life. My order literally came out within 5 mins so I went straight back to my hotel room excited to have some ramen. When I opened it, just by look of it, it didn't look like ramen. I took a sip and it was more like soba soup with ramen noodles. So so disappointed!!! And to pay that much it was nothing special. Most expensive bowl of ramen I've tasted and I think top ramen was way better!!

My buddy and I had the donburi meals, complete with a side of tempura and miso soup. The only caveat to a similar meal back home is that I paired it with a glass of prosecco, but my dining partner did go the traditional route with hot green tea. The restaurant was pretty quiet to the point where I felt I had to whisper when talking, but it could have been because we were early to dinner and the place wasn't filled with customers yet. Once again, good food, but at Zürich prices.

The wasabi was fresh and not prepackaged, and sushi was delicious and the avocado crunchy rolls were perfection! The atmosphere here is like a home meal as it's pretty much a highly decorated attic - fantastic job by the interior decorator on this! As with all places in Switzerland, you've gotta pay a bit more but all things equal you have a great experience here definitely recommend!

We're then greeted by gentleman that seemed to run the place. We sat outside on the patio and it was delightful. We ordered two appetizers. Thai Fried Shrimp and Pork Potstickers. We ordered 5 and it was too much for us. We wanted the wagyu but the portion was too large so we did the Omakasa add on. The wagyu with the rice was just OK, it needed salt, but it was a bite so you don't find out until it's too late to ask. Given this, I'm glad we didn't order the large portion of the wagyu. The meatball wagyu from the Omakasa wagyu add on was amazing!! It was probably the best thing we ate! It had a black crust of some kind surrounding the meatball and it came with a tasty cream sauce. The shrimp tempura was tasty but it felt a little over cooked. The Brussels sprouts were amazing, they had a spicy sauce and shaved tuna flakes, and they were my second favorite dish of the night. The sea bass was really good. The salmon sashimi was in large poke type chunks and the sauce was too thick for my liking-it was my least favorite dish. We're big fans of sushi and didn't really hold high hopes for this establishment but that was blown out of the water. From simply being able to make a reservation online to walking up and being given a friendly greeting, it just kept getting better. We were seated at a table but my wife wanted to sit by the running sushi line. So, we asked and we're happily moved to a half booth that sits right on the line. She was thrilled (oh, the simple things). The sushi was quite varied, tasty and fresh. It wasn't cheap but rarely in Switzerland does dinner cost under 100CHF. The inside of the restaurant is very "loft-like"/industrial which we great enjoy. Lots of windows and high ceilings. Staff was very friendly, warm and welcoming. Again, I wish for 1/2 stars as this would be a 4.5 star place for me. We'll be back!

Also, I know it's not a big deal but, I love that the green tea is free (versus some other restaurants charge you a per person water charge)!!! POSITIVES: pretty good quality fish for Zurich, probably the best I've had so far. Lunch sets are worth it, for 30 CHF you'll leave feeling full, I like the sushi + nigiri lunch set although I wish there were more fish variety. I like that the place is run by Japanese people (I guess makes me feel like it's more authentic?) and the staff is super friendly. Great service. Green tea is free! NEGATIVES: small place, can get quite crowded. Fish variety usually only salmon and tuna and maybe yellowtail. TIPS: Order the sashimi boat for 65 CHF you get 11 different types of sashimi and it is enough for 2 people. Slightly more expensive than the lunch set but you get variety.
