Birria Tacos and consome.
James C.

Had some fantastic Birria tacos, with consome and freshly made guac. The Chef and owner here was friendly and clearly knows what he's doing in the kitchen. No issues here, if you're looking for great tacos, go here!

My search for authentic Mexican food continues after my visit to Rebozos. Rebozos I thought you are the one... the one that satisfy my cravings! Your location at a odd part of town and the residential setting with minimal furnishing does make me thought you were the ONE. But how deceiving is the first expression............ Pulled Pork, Beef Tongue, Chicken ($2.50 each) I tried were flavourless... I have to drown them with your salsa to give them some kick. Sopes ($3.50) was disappointing... Huaraches with beef was dry and chewy. Guacamole was A-OK but not the best I had. Services were excellent/warm and we all got separate checks. However, I felt empty and lost after eating your tacos. Really are there any good Taco in Toronto???

GO POZOLE - GO POZOLE - GO POZOLE, GO!!!!!! 3.5 stars. They have pozole here! And it's delicious. It's the first place I've seen it on a menu in Toronto. Pozole is a spicy stew with pulled pork meat simmered with dried maiz (which looks like giant kernels of corn). It comes with some round crispy tortillas, lettuce, veggies, extra spices and dried herbs that you add to the stew and mix in. The Yelp party of 7 I was with stuck mostly to the tacos here, which looked okay but I'm glad I tried the pozole. I would go back here if it wasn't located in the middle of nowhere. (Rogers Road, wha?!??!) Great service and you can watch tele-novelas on the big screen and listen to authentic Mexican tunes. Decor basic but functional. Que bueno

Partially eaten carnitas tacos

Boyfriend and I were craving Mexican to celebrate Cinco today, and decided to check out this place, a short 10-15 minute drive from where we live. Things we loved: 1) The warm decor and it's location in a converted house make you feel like you're in someone's living room 2) The food is legit. Some dishes were better than others, but it's real authentic Mexican food, hard to come by in Toronto. 3) The service was fast and friendly 4) Portions were generous and prices reasonable. I wish they had a liquor license, as a margarita or beer would have been nice to chase down my Enchilada Verdes plate, but it wouldn't keep me from coming back.

Love the Birria tacos here. Everything was tasty and well seasoned. I believe they've adjusted the pricing and thing seem reasonable.

The poutine was definitely not the best poutine I ever had and definitely not the worse. But the ranking of this poutine definitely came pretty close down at the bottom of my ranking. The fries were very tasty. Fried to perfection and it had a nice crispy to it. The cheese was the disappointment. They didn't use cheese curd. On top, the gravy was nothing special. On top, the poutine was somewhat cold. The jerk chicken was interesting. I thought I ordered Jamican food but it turned out something different. I was not sure if this was supposed to be a Korean dish or Jamican. Anyways, the dish itself was somewhat cold when I got it. The jerk chicken was somewhat dry. Strange was that it was served with kimchi, corn and some green drizzled on top was spicy mayo sauce. So I felt like it had a bit of Japanese, Jamican and a bit of Korean. I don't think the flavor went well together. They were somewhat skimpy on the jerk chicken. I was told by a colleague that their fusion tacos (instead of tortilla, they used roti) are really good. Maybe next time I try this food truck, I will get that instead. Anyways, I do not recommend getting the Jerk chicken here.

That's amazing; I love meeting hard working and ambitious individuals like this! During the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, I had the pleasure of meeting Leo and the team after being extremely intrigued by the name 'ribbon fries' - I was NOT disappointed. They are like the tornado potato fries (which they also offer) but they are not on a stick, and on a plate, they look simply delicious. Seriously, we had the plate on our table for less than a minute before a passerby demanded to know what it was and went to order it right away. I bit into it, expecting it to taste like regular ol' chippy things, but to my delight, these were the freshest potatoes EVER! They were also perfectly salted. Omnomnom. The truck is a bit plain and could definitely use better marketing to sell these amazing fries and poutines. I think they're thinking of revamping it to draw in da crowdz - he also recently got a new TV that broadcasts pics of the food offered! Steppin' up the game! Definitely hit this truck up if you happen to spot it at a festival!

The husband and wife team manning the truck were so adorable and so friendly, I felt like I was family! The food offerings here were not your over the top stereotypical food truck eats, instead they focused on doing classic menu items (hamburgers, sausages, hot dogs, fries, poutine, etc) I was only looking for a snack and when I walked up so when I asked for their personal recommendations they suggested that I go with their poutine. The portion of poutine was massive and the cheese curds were perfectly mixed throughout (which is actually an accomplishment since so many places just top their fries with cheese). The best was the gravy; hot, thick (without lump) and a great salty flavour! IT's hard to know where I'll bump into these guys again but I'm interested to try their other offerings next time I see them Eatcrest Out

The water stations provided by the event host had a long line and not wanting to wait I decided to purchase a few water bottles for my friends and I because we were all very dehydrated. I went to this food truck because it had the shortest line. And of course there was a reason why. When it came to my turn to order, I asked for 3 bottles of water. The employee was very rude and said "you want water you have to buy food. No food, no water" I asked why can't I just buy the bottle waters and he said "Water is for customers only, if you're not ordering, leave" But if I'm buying water at $5.50 does that not make me a customer? I'm still spending money at the business and paying $5.50 for 1 bottle of water!! Being desperate, I order 2 tacos for $12.42, and asked for 3 waters. Again, the employee so rudely said "Only 1 bottle, if you want more you have to order more tacos" .. I was in disbelief. I paid $17.92 for 2 crappy and dried, barely any sauce chicken tacos.. all for 1 bottle of water. Had the food tasted better, maybe I wouldn't be as upset. But chewing the chicken was like rubbing sand against my mouth. I am telling this story not because I want to damage the business by any means, I like supporting small businesses when I can, but when a business is not honest, ethical or morally right I feel like I should speak up. Needless to say, I will not support this business and do not recommend anyone to support such an inhumane and unethical business. I have attached photos of how they responded to my Facebook review. As you can see it doesn't really make sense that they only had 2 cases of water. This was simply just a money grab opportunity.
