They let me try out one of the Isometric classes and a HIIT class; I did them back to back. I have taken Pilates prior but the heat takes it to a whole different level. The videos are easy to follow and the staff was so helpful in getting me set up. I really enjoy rowing and have taken classes previously but the the extra heat turned up this 15 minute class! The location is clean and you feel safe knowing that the door is coded so if you are in there late, no one can access the inside unless you are a member. Definitely worth the monthly cost! Thank you for a great first time experience and look forward to many more!

So I always find a local box to drop in at. Crossfit Aero was amazing! Josh called me back ASAP and made sure I was good to go, set me up with a great drop-in rate and introduced me to staff and members. The team there is very knowledgeable, patient and focused on the quality of movements. The facility has everything you need and the people are just great. I wasn't going to do the Open this year due to travel and whatnot, but Josh and his team invited me to come do it with their squad and I couldn't have had a better experience. Everyone was so supportive and energetic. Staff and members made a point to come chat with me and everyone shared congratulations and best wishes. Overall a stellar experience. Will def be back when I am in town.

Crossfit is a whole body workout, and there are times in which you will be sore after, but its a good sore. Although sometimes the WODs are a bit intimidating, once you do it, there is a sense of pride after. Just to note again, you can scale down the workout, and no one will judge you! The schedule ranges from early morning to late evenings, so there is really no excuses on why you can't exercise :)...think of crossfit as recess. From just the short time I entered crossfit, I noticed that I am becoming slowly stronger, gaining definition near the butt (LOL), and becoming more tone. And I am not becoming bulky (so for the females out there don't be afraid)! Who wouldn't want that?! The last time I was able to achieve that was when I was in my high school tennis team...and doing just the treadmill won't get you these results.. but if crossfit or barbells isn't your cup of tea, then they do offer bootcamp classes; these classes will feature movements similar to those performed in the group classes, but geared towards those preferring longer workouts or people with injuries that may be prohibitive to some exercises. Everyone is nice and really supportive. And I'm looking forward to continuing here at this box! They also have groupon deals and you can come in for a free week/trial period! So don't be shy (read my previous review for how I felt in the beginning before I joined/started crossfit)! I shall be looking forward to seeing you in the box!

I happened to come in on a Saturday and it turned out to be a team WOD, so it was a nice opportunity to meet and work together with the Jaguar regular athletes. This place is the epitome of the word "box". It's a huge warehouse great for WODDING it out. I really liked the setup, there was even a long patch of fake grass for running inside. All the equipment is nice and seemed to be well taken care of. I find it hilarious and amusing that they have these stools in the bathrooms so that you can squat when you're taking a crap. They even had pamphlets explaining why it is more healthy to squat and poo. Will be back again when I am back in Tampa.

Four years ago I started an e-commerce company and building it up has rekt'd my workout routine. Lots of time at the computer working but more or less sedentary. Enough about me, you want to know about Johnathan. This is a home based business. He has built a gym in his garage and that is where he works out his clients. He used to be a personal trainer for LA Fitness. When I was looking for a trainer I didn't want to go to a big gym or any corporate gym for that matter. Been there and done that. You're just a number and those places are just mills to churn and burn. I texted him on a Saturday and he texted me back making an initial consultation the following Monday. We went over everything and he took my measurements. He also is a massage therapist (myofacial release) and explained that he requires all his new clients to get a massage. He does this to see where their structural weak points are. Fast forward three months and I have dropped inches. We do a measurement of hips, neck, arms, calf's etc at the end of the month to track progress. His workouts are unusual. He takes a simple exercise but adds a twist to it. He's always trying to confuse your body so that it can't adapt to anything. If he sees you breezing through a particular exercise he'll change it up just a little so your brain & body have to adjust. Very personal and changed his schedule to fit yours. You're also pay 1/3 of what you will at another gym. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

They've since updated their equipment and their flooring, which is awesome. At the time that I attended, there was no open gym, which I know lots of people need to fit in a workout during the day. There's also no showers, so you can't wash after working out and head to work. But the owners are super sweet and down to earth, and so are the trainers. There's definitely a solid community there of people who encourage each other constantly. But it's not competitive, which makes it welcoming for newcomers like myself. If you're looking for a CrossFit gym that isn't just full of people who are incredibly fit and intimidating, this gym is perfect. Admittedly, I'm not in the best shape I've ever been but the coaches took the time to over modifications to still challenge me and work toward my goal of getting better. Phil taught me that "a well conditioned body is a well conditioned mind." When I started with him, I weighed in at about 220 lbs (on a 5'7" frame), with most of the weight coming from body fat. Worse, I had no insight into my physical health and no drive to learn how to change things. I don't doubt I was one of Phil's tougher clients, but he was so patient throughout my time with him. Days when I was dragging or not pushing myself, Phil was able to use his positivity and encouragement to get me through my training. Now, I'm at a healthy weight for my height and I workout 5 days a week on my own. I'm grateful to Phil for helping me slim down, but what I really owe him for is changing my mindset from "who cares?" to "dedication+determination= transformation".
