She was totally disrespecting him in the back area of the gym. He never had any issues at this location for 2 years. For some strange reason this lady had it out for my husband. He exchanged words with her and he walked away. She came speed walking behind him like she was going to attack him. I was busy working out and he later told me what she did and as the nice guy he is did not report it to management bc he did not want to escalate the situation. He clearly told her to leave him alone but she kept approaching him. The woman was acting real tough and giving him horrible looks. The following day someone called me to tell me a witness claimed he said something that was not true and said they were going to terminate my membership bc my guest violated a policy, which he clearly didn't bc the woman instigated the entire situation. They showed me no proof nor video footage. Basically a he said , she said situation. My husband is in disbelief on how management handled it by cancelling my membership and taking the woman's side which was very sketchy. It's ok bc I honestly prefer going to a better gym anyway. That gym is racist and discriminatory and I would advise anyone to go elsewhere. We are good people and I know my husband would never purposely verbally attack a woman unless she was harassing him or violating his workout space. He is not that type of man to cause problems at gym unless he is attacked verbally or physically. The way management handled the situation was unprofessional and unfair. The funny thing is a trainer was there and separated the woman away from him and never reported what she did??? VERY SKETCHY... To accuse him without proof and ignore what this woman did to him! Nice job Planet Fitness in keeping discrimination alive in a judgment free zone!!

I attended this gym for 6 months; I was stalked and hounded by staff, members and ownership. I believe they saw me as someone "who appeared" to be on the opposite aisle of political ideology and did not favor it. Very disappointing any business owner would behave in such a irresponsible manner. Had everyone kept to themselves and not acted like wild animals I would have given the gym a positive review. Not the case. People should realize most Normal folk only go to the gym to workout and not to fraternize. Leave your members alone and you will do well in business. I would not recommend this place as a permanent gym solution to anyone.

Today, I spoke with Club Manager Tristan and staff member Steve regarding this matter and was provided this email address for written notification. My reason for cancellation is the recent 20% increase in my annual membership fee without prior email notification. Approximately eight months ago, my monthly dues were also increased without advance notice. I do not consent to these billing changes, particularly when no direct communication was provided. When I attempted to cancel my membership in person today, I was informed that I would be charged an additional monthly fee of approximately $28 to satisfy a 30-day cancellation requirement. Because I did not authorize the membership fee increase, I contend that I was not afforded a fair opportunity to cancel my membership in a timely manner. Authorizing this additional payment would imply consent to continued membership under revised terms, which I do not accept. I have already initiated a dispute with my credit card company and instructed them to block any further billing attempts from your organization. It is such a luxury…read moreto be able to go anywhere in the Tampa Bay area and almost always have easy access to a gym that is always open. This newest one is located in Wesley Chapel on the corner of a Winn-Dixie shopping center. All of the equipment is obviously brand-new and top of the line. This location has a mixture of LifeFitness and Hammer Strength (my favorite) equipment. There are only five treadmills, which might be a problem during peak times. The five have the biggest screens I've ever seen on a treadmill. They are so much better then the beat up old ones I regularly have to use. There is a small area for aerobic exercises but it can only accommodate a few people. There is one the smith machine and one squat rack. The squat rack has an interesting attachment to it that lets you insert a barbell for T-bar rows. I wish more places had that. At my regular gym I have to wedge a barbell against a bench or whatever else is free at the moment. All of the barbells have lockjaw clamps instead of the lame regular clamps you see all the time. I was thrilled to see that they had not one, but two different plate loaded chest press machine for hitting the chest at different angles. It's not common to see one at Anytime Fitness locations, much less two. That is one thing I really miss from my old "big box" gym. I can't wait to come back here for chest day. The dumbbells go up to a standard 100 pounds. One thing that I thought was strange is that the rack that holds the fixed weight barbells was half empty, meaning that the heaviest one was only 60 pounds. I'm not sure if heavier ones are on order or this is all there are going to be. There are kettle bells that go up to 50 pounds, but there is only a single kettle bell for each weight. I would have preferred to have two for each weight so that I could use them for walking lunges. One big omission is that there's not a machine for doing seated calf raises (Lord knows I need help with that). There is plenty of room where they could add this in the future. I hope that they do. It would be nice if they also added a hex bar. I hate the method they have in place for cleaning equipment. I have been to over 20 Anytime Fitness locations and this is only the second one I've seen where you're given spray bottles and some dirty rags instead of paper towels or individual use wipes. The last thing I want to touch is a rag that has soaked up the funk of multiple people already. Overall this is a very nice addition to the Wesley Chapel community and I'm glad that they're here!
