Friendly staff, nice little gym, and good wifi…read more My son attends the daycare and it actually costs less to get a membership to the JCC for the daycare member rate than the membership so it was a no brainer to get one even if I never used it. Well, turns out since I work from home, using this as an office away from home has become incredibly useful. First of all parking is a breeze. They have a giant parking lot so I'm never worried about finding a space. There are a good amount of trees so some spots are shaded. You need a badge to get in the first door to the reception area and then to get to the rest of the building. The front desk is always super nice. They have fruit infused water for anyone who is thirsty. Once you walk through the second set of doors more often than not you'll find me. There are three tables with a couple chairs around each and they are almost never in use. I have never seen all three tables being used. There is also a TV that is playing the news. Most people belong here for the gym. The classes seem to be geared towards an older clientele. They have childcare, which is an older woman who seems like she is a grandma herself. I've never seen her watching more than two children at a time. The gym has tvs, ellipticals, treadmills, a weight area, etc. It isn't that big, but it has all the necessities for a good work out. There is a sauna and locker rooms. Even though everything is definitely on the older side, it is all clean. The other thing I love about these facilities are there are two tables with huge umbrellas outside. They also stream music outside, usually classic hits. The wifi is more spotty there, but it is a nice alternative if the weather is pleasant. I'll continue to belong as long as my son attends the pre school here.

A GREAT alternative to your typical gym! Located at the Tampa Jewish Community Center in Citrus…read morePark on Gunn Hwy, just past the Walmart and before Citrus Park Mall. They offer a wide variety of fitness classes including Zumba, pilates, Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Stretch & Flex and Tai Chi. Also have Meditation and a class in Israeli Krav Maga which is a self defense class that I definitely want to take. In addition, the Fitness Center includes: Cardiovascular Equipment Free Weights Steam Room/Sauna Locker Room with Handicap Accessible Showers Heated 25-meter Junior Olympic Swimming Pool Four Lighted Tennis Courts & Racquetball Courts Full-size Outdoor Basketball Court Athletic Field They also offer a water fitness program twice a week. All this and it's practically in my backyard! This is open to the public and your first class is free. After that you have the option of paying $4 per class or you can pay a monthly fee of $30 for unlimited class and use of the facility. Or you can just pay for the year up front. Love the flexibility of options! There is an additional fee for the Krav Maga class, I think it is $10 for members, $12 for non members. I took the Vinyasa Yoga class and it was one hour of stretching, poses and relaxation. The teacher was fantastic and I look forward to her weekly classes. The room was large enough to accommodate all who showed up and the a/c worked great! A major requirement in my book! No hot yoga for moi! The only downside to some will be the limited time schedule of classes, which are only during the day except for the Krav Maga. Closed on Saturday but they do offer a class on Sunday Not a problem for me as I have flexible hours and it's close to home. Will upload a pic of the current schedule of classes.

4 stars for Amazing classes and great instructors…read more Pros: * 6-7 classes per day. Earliest class at 5am and latest at 6pm * good sized parking lot, do come early to get the best spot. * fantastic trainers: Bjan, Eric and Kimberly are among the favorites. * They do offer a deal when you sign up for the first month. * weekly emails from True Fit regarding health and nutritional issues Cons: * Its quite expensive: $130/month for bootcamp classes or $328/month for classes, diet plan and personal training. Overall, great place to workout. Just wish it was more affordable.

I discovered TrueGrit on ClassPass (love ClassPass, definitely try it!). Such a fun workout! If you…read moreare a beginner, the workouts are do-able, but they will kick your ass. I am more immediate and like that I can still get a challenging workout from a class setting. They have more advanced equipment and machines than just dumbbells and kettlebells that most group workout classes have. As a girl, some of the equipment can be intimidating. But once you give it a shot, you realize how capable you are. They recently moved facilities, so if you ever worked out at their old location...try the new one! It's much bigger, nicer, and in a safer location. Because their classes are pretty large, you won't get much direction on form, but the instructors are still pretty attentive if you're doing something completely wrong. This is a great gym for someone who already knows how to workout but does better with an instructor.

I have…read morealways hated stretching, and after a particular surgery... my hamstrings were always painfully tight. I started going here to the core and balance classes primarily, although all of the classes are great and help in different ways. It has really improved my range of motion, and even my cardio (Cardio Sculpt classes are killer!). Highly recommended to anyone that wants to be healthier, lose weight, and get in better shape!

The instructors are energetic, engaged with the class, and try to make things fun. They do a good job of correcting you without hovering and do a nice job balancing wellness with exercise. There are a lot of different teachers but they are almost all kind and fun. There's also a bunch of different kinds of classes to try. The equipment is very nice and the teachers use a big variety of the equipment in the classes. The facility is also clean and everything runs on time. I have forgotten my socks a few times and bought nice ones in the shop. Classes book out at least a week in advance so you do have to book early if you have limited ability for when you can attend class. The only downside, and it's entirely out of their control, is that because the studio is between a few food places, sometimes the smell of fried chicken coming from the Publix I think is so strong. Chicken smell aside, it's a very nice studio and great staff.
