I simply love old places with history so this was right up my alley! The Como Inn is a full featured experience. Fully stocked with wonderful food, in an old building with multiple super comfy rooms. Check in/check out times are flexible which I also found as a nice Southern touch! Just use your manners. :-) The owners are just good, kind southern folk. If I didn't have to be in the wedding, I would have been just fine sitting out on the back great patio and shooting the sh*t with them. One thing to note, there is a long, shotgun staircase up to the room level so be aware of that should you have elderly or other similar needs. I consider myself old in my 50s and it is indeed a haul, but waits for you at the top of the stairs is an awesome experience! As far as the nearbys... plenty of food options from pub grub to Thia and Mexican and a steak house that clearly must be something because there were a line of people a block long wanting to get in there! There's also a store a few blocks up with all your basic needs including alcohol. I honestly wish we would have had more than one night and a rushed schedule as I could see myself spending an entire weekend trip there just to chill and we plan to do just that. Needs a refresh, for sure. Removing the carpet and putting down new floors would give some life into this room! More lighting would help as well. The bathroom is old and in much need of an overhaul!! Water pressure was almost non-existent. It felt like I was showering with just a trickle of water. But, still grateful I had one to use after a long day of moving boxes and furniture. I would definitely stay here again. I just now know to expect mediocre rooms. The pictures on the website make the rooms look much bigger, brighter, and newer. The lobby is beautiful and the outside of the building is beautiful as well. Just a big letdown when opening the door to your room after pulling up to the big beautiful building and walking through the spacious and beautiful lobby.

I think it was the really low/short stall walls and doors. Didn't feel very private and with wide open doors it seemed a bit vulnerable. A security shack with a guard and cart were up front and there was a button inside to press for security. That said, the abundant awareness of the security made me feel a little less safe in ways. I felt it was unusual for a rest stop and just like it probably was really needed if it was that present. So, glad security is there but I'd surely not go there after dark or take my eyes off my children for even a second.

Drink beer and cast lures in the water I think, I dunno I'm not a boat person. There is a restroom at the north end and one at the south end. I only went in the one at the south en (by sites 9-14) so I can't tell you what the north end one was like. Bathroom near 9-14 had sinks and toilets. No soap. Bathrooms were clean enough, nothing nasty but there was graffiti from 2013 - seriously someone put the date they scratched in their bathroom graffiti. Grass was a little long but not too bad, level areas for setting up tents. I wish people who used the sites would do a better job of not being fucking pigs and treating the planet like their own personal shit box. Spent the first 30 minutes picking up previous campers Corona Light bottle caps. You're provided with a full size lidded trash can with a trash bag at each individual camp site, why do you have to be a piece of shit and throw your beer caps on the ground? No home training is what it is if you ask me but now I'm derailed on my review. So back to the review - great scenery and view of the lake. Evenings in September are BUGGGGGY, deep woods off and 6 Thermacells were no match for the gnats and biting flies. Those bastards would bite you through your socks. Sockets that were drenched in deep woods off. Building a nice camp fire helped on the big front. Found a couple ticks as well.

But it's a tent-only campground and there were only a couple other tents there so it was quiet and peaceful. Our lots were large. There was plenty of firewood to be collected on site. There's a boat launch but it didn't add significant traffic or noise. The bathrooms were...campsite bathrooms. Not the best, not the worst. No locked on stall doors. No soap. But the toilets flushed so there's that. Very pretty view of Sardis Lake. The negatives: The flies!! They were so so bad! And bighty!! My poor dogs were covered in flies, as were we. Other negative is just about a previous camper. At our site, we picked up literally a case's worth of Coors beer bottle caps. Evidently they didn't throw away a single one, even though garbage is provided and literally just right there. The

After reaching out to Rusty weeks prior to get my ride set up, I was in touch with Rusty at Memphis Airport Shuttle a few days before my flight, and the day of. He was incredible to work with the entire time! We went back and forth several times during the day as my flight plans kept changing due to delays and getting later and later into the night, but he was patient with me, responsive, and reassuring throughout the entire process.
