Very cute cramped cafe style restaurant. We were at on the indoor patio which I was very happy with. Right next to 2 open windows so we got the nice morning breeze. It was just us & one other table. Great spot! The food & coffee were great! I didn't care for the stuffed French toast. Way too much sweet filling. I just scraped it out. Still good! Really wish I would have gotten the pancakes because they were AMAZING!!! My only gripe with this place was they have teeny tiny tables & bring everything out on gigantic separate plates. It's totally fine to put my food all on one plate. It won't kill me lol. I ended up doing that myself & we still didn't have room. My partner didn't combine & his plates were literally hanging off the table barely leaving mine any room :\ in addition to the 2 water cups, 2 mugs, syrup, ketchup, sugars, salt & pepper, creamer, & advert on the table. It was too much. Felt so claustrophobic. 1 plate or smaller plates would solve everything. Amazing food just needs a little reworking in that dept. read more

We visited Rebecca's Bistro for lunch during a day in Amish country. There was a short wait for a table, but for such a cozy environment, it's worth the wait (and a much appreciated alternative to the all you can eat buffets that are more prevalently available in the area). Very decent menu options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Service was good, as well. The only reason it falls short is that (in my opinion) the food is a just ok. The signature burger was ok, but it was a real mess with the quantity of bistro sauce that was piled on. I ordered the grilled cheese with cherry butter, and if I were to order it again, I would hold the butter and ask for less cheese to avoid soggy bread. The Cuban sandwich option was also soggy on sourdough (instead of Cuban bread). Overall, possibly worth another try. read more

What a fantastic country restaurant in Walnut Creek! It's small inside, but that only makes it feel homier. What's nice is that if there's a line, they will text you when the table is ready, so you can walk around the antique mall next door while you wait! The service was very friendly, and the food was okay. I think I ordered the wrong thing.......I got the creamed eggs and the meal reminded me of warmed up egg salad on toast. It was just not what I expected and more heavy than I had imagined. The hash browns were decent. My dining companion had the stuffed French toast, which he described as "okay". Seats weren't particularly comfortable, but the restaurant had a cute ambiance. I feel pretty neutral about the entire dining experience. If I could have a do-over, I would have tried the quiche. The creamed eggs were very good. I've never had them before but they were rich and comforting. They served them with one slice of sourdough (DELICIOUS sourdough) and I felt like it needed two slices. The cinnamon roll cookie tasted exactly as you'd expect from the description and the blueberry lemon scone was perfect. However, the hash browns seemed cooked but just barely, they had no crisp and were a little soggy. The sausage was... different. Not your typical tasting sausage. This place was recommended by the place we are staying at(dwellbox, thank you). It's so cute in this place, farmhouse style. Everyone was so nice. Our waitress always had a smile on her face. The breakfast food was cooked to perfection. I got the breakfast casserole which has hash browns, eggs, sausage, gravy, and cheese. It was so good. Only served on Saturday mornings. And I got a hot cup of the blackberry lavender white chocolate latte and it was again so good. This place was cute and friendly and deserves your time and attention. They sold bakery as well but I did not buy anything. I was full after the breakfast! They take cash and credit. Small lot parking so may have to find street parking. For the last 2 years probably, when I visit Ohio, my cousin offers to take me here. Every year, we try. Every year, it doesn't happen. Mostly because they have a large family and this place is always packed! This year, he was determined to go. We got there early, waited around 30 minutes, and I finally got to try it! I have to admit, I was skeptical! A sandwich place? It's just a sandwich...right? RIGHT? Wrong! OMG! Everything we tried here was amazing! The bread was fresh. The toppings were perfect! The soup was hot and tasted like it was made right when I ordered it! I know that's not possible, but that's how it tasted. Add all of this with the family owned business style where EVERYONE is friendly, and you can't go wrong! I can't even remover everything I tried. Everyone at he table kept offering. I kept obliging! Went on a Wed at lunch, waited about 45 minutes but they had nice soft music and a warm waiting area. Parking tight as all the businesses are close together and they don't like to share spots. We had quiche which was very good. The tomato basil soup that they're known for was too sweet for me. It has brown sugar in it. But everything was hot and fresh tasting. Went for lunch with my hubby. It was crowded & we waited 30 mins for a table. It's located in a small house made into a restaurant so there aren't more than 12 tables, hence the wait to get in. They only serve breakfast & lunch so get there early! I ordered ginger peach iced tea which was slightly sweet & refreshing. For lunch I had tomato basil soup & BBQ chicken ranch salad served with a slice of homemade blueberry bread - delicious all the way around! My husband had the burger topped with Guggisberg cheese(a local favorite)on a fresh baked pretzel bun and a side salad. He cleaned his plate so I didn't have to ask him if it was good. They offer gluten-free bread for all their sandwiches which I thought was great. It's obvious that the food is made from scratch - it's so tasty. If I lived close by, I'd be a regular here. read more

We went on Thursday at 1:30 P.M. Our wait time was 90 minutes. We visited the shops close by while we waited. Its a cozy little place. Our waitress,Wilma, was wonderful, very attentive and friendly! By far the best place to eat while visiting amish country. We are fortunate to live within 30 minutes from here so we sneak down whenever we get the chance. All their food is unique and delicious. Great for breakfast or lunch. They usually have a wait to get in but its definitely worth it. Don't settle for not trying their food. A friend and I stopped for lunch today. We both had the Turkey Berry Sandwich. She had the cheesy potatoes as her side and my side was the soup of the day corn chowder. Delicious absolutely delicious. We also split a piece of carrot cake for desert. The combinations of the ingredients on the sandwich were unusual but they worked so well together. The combination of the cream cheese and the berry jam is genius and the fact the sandwich was toasted made it warm and gooey and enjoyable. Everything was attractively presented and portions were nice size. Now this a a very small restaurant so we had to wait. Not long but about a half hour. We were able to eat outdoors and it was a perfect afternoon for that. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. Food piping hot when delivered to table. Parking was confusing and not readily available. We parked down the street a little ways and walked. In my opinion it was worth it. Pleasant atmosphere good food and moderately priced. Best of taste food with service to bare none. Friendly little house with many rooms to eat in or outside if weather permits. Worth the wait for usually 45-60 minutes unless you get lucky & go at just the right time. (We haven't found the right time yet). I passed by this bistro many times when in Amish country. I stopped in here for some breakfast with friends. Since it was the off season and during the week, we had no trouble getting seated. It is a very cute place. We waited a bit for our waitress. I ordered baked oatmeal and hot tea. They had a nice hot tea selection and also had a menu of specialty drinks. The tea came with a cute teapot and a real teacup and saucer. Very nice. Our food took a little bit, but probably because they make it when ordered. My baked oatmeal was pretty good, although a little overpowered by the vanilla yogurt. I would get that on the side if I was going to order it again. It seemed more like cake than oatmeal and I thought the portion was a bit small. I liked the banana and strawberries on top. Everyone else I was with enioyed their food. The service was friendly and good and I would definitely recommend checking it out. read more

It's a great place to eat outside and see the horse and buggies​ tied up or riding down the streets. I had the tomato soup. I don't know how they make it, but it's wonderful and I'm already craving it and want to go back. The tomato soup is so popular, they sell it in the cafe. This place is really small inside​ but does have an outside seating area. I would suggest that when going, you make a reservation or go when they first open. We came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon. I knew ahead of time, based on the other reviews that it gets pretty busy on Saturdays, so we were prepared to wait. There were five of us, so it took about 30 minutes for a table to open up. They ya e a screened in porch area to wait for your table with plenty of seating. It got a little chilly, but there was a heater you could stand close to. It's a quaint little place, and fits really well with the Walnut Creek vibe. Our server was fantastic. She kept our drinks full the entire time, was friendly and very helpful. She gets an A++ I got the special soup of the day, a pumpkin apple bacon. It was amazing. Very filling for a small cup and the flavors worked really well together. Everyone else got the tomato basil, and all raved about it. The croutons were a nice touch. The cheesy potato side was just as good as the soups. It was creamy with the perfect consistency. It had a hint of cream of chicken soup in it. My wife ordered it and I was jealous I only got a couple bites. I also really liked the house dressing that came with the side salad. I think the best sandwich was the grilled cheese. It's something unlike I'd ever had, nor would I ever make it at home, which is what I look for when I go out to eat. It actually comes with two sandwiches. The Cuban and the Turkey Melt were good too. I don't know that I would come back for either, but nobody was disappointed with them. Once you arrive at Rebecca's Bistro you are met with the quaint ambience with light music playing in the background. The hostess was pleasant and quick with taking our name with a 2 minute wait time, during brunch on a Saturday. We ordered the chicken pasta salad with lemon chicken rice soup and Autumn Chicken Sandwich with lemon chicken rice soup. Both meals were flavorful however the autumn chicken sandwich takes the win. Additionally we ordered the Mint Mocha and Ginger Peach Tea (actually comes with a peach in the drink!) The carrot cake is hands down the best I've ever had. We came here for lunch on a Friday at about 2:15 and they were closing at 3. There were still about 4 groups ahead of us. Turn around seemed to go rather quick. We were sat within 15 minutes. The place is small with table accommodating mostly 2-4 people. There is one table that sat maybe 8-10 Servers are nice. Place is clean. They have some tasty coffees! I had a tasty latte but can't remember the name of it, had hazelnut & white chocolate. Mmmmmm. My hubby had the peach tea and liked how refreshing it was. I had the tomato basil soup. A lot of people on the reviews seemed to really like it, my hubby & I thought it was very sweet tasting, and we weren't fans. The bistro burger was very good as was the turkey pesto sandwich. Although out of the two, I'd come back for that burger! We had the cheesy potatoes as a side and those were pretty good. When we were paying the bill at the counter, we were totally enticed by the bakery in the case. So we ended up leaving with a cinnamon bun cookie and a blueberry scone. We love this little bistro! Everything here is so unique and so well put together. We also love that they have their tomato soup canned and you're able to purchase to take home.
