Cannot comment on the doctor, but just had a terrible experience with her assistant Karen and front desk, which has prompted me to write my first bad review ever.
I reached at 9:30 am, checked in, paid my co-pay, sat for 10 mins. When I was not called, I inquired and was told that my appointment was at 10:30 and not 9:30 as I had thought. In the meanwhile I realized that I had left my phone at home. Since I had ~40 mins for my appointment and my home was 15 mins drive away, I thought it would be a good idea to go home and pick it. At 10:05 am, as I was heading back I got a call from her office saying that the doc is ready to see me. I said it will take me 15 mins to arrive there and I will time for my 10:30 appointment. But the lady at the other end, Karen said that 'NO', the appointment needs to be rescheduled. It was shocking, I was not allowed to get to my appointment although I was on time! She kept on saying that the doctor was ready to see my now (10:10 am for my 10:30 am appointment) and that the doctor was busy and had other appointment waiting. I have no idea how other patients could be waiting if it was my time? Do these folks do multiple booking? And the tone was terrible, made me feel as if they just didn't care.
I really needed so see a doctor so had canceled several meetings for this appointment. It took me 3 moths to get her appointment, but I chose her thinking she was good as she was recommended by my friend. I have changed my healthcare group and made Dr Clyde my PCP (after being for 14 years with 1 PCP). But I am for sure not going back and, by their tone, don't think it will matter to them. At least people in healthcare should understand that folks who reach out to them do so because they have a problem and it's not for fun. Very disappointing! read more
