For more than two years, I lived with chronic sciatic pain every single day. It affected my daily functioning, my energy, and my quality of life. Immediately after my last session with Robert, my sciatic pain was completely gone. Honestly, I kept waiting for it to come back because I couldn't believe it. It's now been three months, and the pain is still gone. Waking up every morning without pain has been life-changing. My quality of life has improved more than I can put into words, and I am incredibly grateful for Robert's skill and care. Also, my work is incredibly demanding, and Robert's treatments are the only thing I've found that can immediately quiet both my body and my nervous system. The stress I carry melts away in session. I walk out feeling grounded, restored, and like myself again. That gift alone is priceless. What sets Robert apart is his presence. He is deeply attuned to what is happening in your body and seems to intuitively know exactly what it needs. It's difficult to explain, but you feel it when you're on his table. Robert has an extraordinary gift, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found him. Thank you, Robert, for giving me my life back. I will never be able to fully express how grateful I am.

Robert asked about my concerns and how my body was feeling. After sharing a few updates with him, he got to work. And, boy, was his work cut out for him! I do weight training (along with yoga), but had recently up leveled my workouts. Robert found those super tight areas and worked them. Not painfully (like other masseuses do), but with a firm, yet gentle, technique. Not once did I grimace or feel uncomfortable. I left on cloud nine with my body feeling healed and rejuvenated. I plan on making Robert my go-to massage therapist going forward. I live in the Tri-Valley and will gladly make the commute for his services.

I can't recommend this massage therapist highly enough. After nearly a year of trying to recover…read morefrom the effects of a car accident and dealing with ongoing issues in my joints, muscles, and overall mobility, this has been by far the most effective bodywork I have ever experienced. I noticed a significant difference after the very first session. By the third session, the improvement in my overall condition was remarkable - more progress than I had felt from many other attempts at recovery over the previous year. What really stands out is the level of knowledge, attention, and intuition behind the work. Manny has an exceptional understanding of anatomy and how different parts of the body affect one another. He listens carefully not only to what you tell him, but to what the body itself is communicating. He identifies problem areas almost immediately, including areas I didn't even realize were contributing to the issue, and approaches the treatment comprehensively rather than simply focusing on one painful spot. The massage is extremely precise, thoughtful, and effective. You can genuinely feel that he understands what he is doing and why he is doing it. For me, the results have been substantial, and I can confidently say this is the most effective massage therapy I have ever received.

Booking was easy and quick with a note field to highlight concerns or places needing focus. First appointment of the day, two hour session. Mary sat with me, listened to my concerns and inquired about areas I felt needed the most focus. During the session, I was provided tea, a relaxing environment and Mary's presence was very calming. She was attentive, thorough, checked in with me, and gave me much needed overdue TLC - I was in heaven. If you are looking for a massage to melt the body back to a state of peace, Mary is the set of hands and other limbs needed to do just that. Mondays she is there all day. Ask for her specifically, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely return, asking for Mary, awaiting her magical touch. Thank you for an incredible session Mary, I appreciated it so very much! This place is terrible. Ritual Spa is not a spa, it is a room on a busy street in Sausalito located…read moreabove a clothing store and a cafe. We were surprised to discover there were no amenities, no wellness center, no hot tub, no sauna, just a room that reeks of chemical air freshener. (Other yelpers have also noted the stench in this place.) The environment is not relaxing as advertised. Quarters are very cramped. Perhaps most concerningly, while most massage places have allowed us to select our masseuse, Ritual prohibits it. I was required to book via a third-party website and there is no option to select your massage therapist. They just assign you someone. If you want a woman for purposes of safety and comfort, too bad, you get who you get. If you book here you will pay $250 (with taxes, tip etc) for a cheap, oily massage, as I did. According to the menu we were handed, things that are normally included in massages - for example, targeting places of pain - are an extra cost "add on," which is absurd. The massage itself was terrible, we were soaked in oil afterwards and so was our clothing. Pants were ruined. This place is a total rip off. Be wary of anyplace that has many 5 star reviews from "new" yelpers who have never written reviews before. They have no actual details or info and may not be legit. P.S. The owner routinely harasses yelpers who write authentic reviews. (There is no rule that reviews have to be from this week. Nor are yelpers required to disclose the time and date of their visit. That's just creepy. The owner would be wise to heed constructive feedback rather than abusing reviewers.) Skip this place.

I have been going to Heather for about a year now (maybe a bit longer). One of the things I like…read moreabout Heather is that she is perfectly suited for what she does: she has a strong but gentle hand and a chill personality without being annoying "ethereal" about what she does. I sometimes go into that lovely, sub-conscious, dreamy space during her massages--not something that happens with every massage therapist that I use. She's also very likeable and down to earth (again, keeps the fairy dust under wraps), but is also quick to provide advice and suggestions about what is happening with your body. She's also very gracious. I was at least 10 minutes late for my first 2 or 3 sessions with her. I've gotten it together since then, but I always appreciate how she hung with me without making me feel like the irresponsible slacker that I was. Nice.

Julie is the one who stopped all my research for my TMJ problem. I had jaw pain for about 10 years,…read moreit makes a 'popping' sound every time I yawn in these two years, my jaw becomes more painful when I consume chewy food. I went to a few professionals for a cure - chiropractors, and they told me they do not work with skull or jaw-related parts. Then I went to my dentist, he honestly shared that dentist and TMJ specialists are different in their scope of practice, he recommended me to try wearing a nightguard and Invisalign, see if it helps with my jaw pain, my physician couldn't connect me to any specialist in Kaiser treating TMJ either. I cannot stand with the pain for another 2 years to risk the uncertainty so I kept on my search until I found Julie. I was desperate and then I found Julie on yelp, I read her profile on the personal website and made an appointment with her. Honestly, I went in the session with a heart of the least expected and came out feeling that was the best decision made and the most well-spent money in years. Julie started with an assessment and thorough inspection of my movement which causes me pain and the pop. Even I was the one having the problem I know nothing about it and why, turned out my jaw shifted a little bit and kinda 'unhooked' in a way because of my long time habit of chewing and sleep pattern. At that moment I thought, man it's gonna take forever to heal the pain and pop because I had no idea it's a thing that built up for 10 years! Then the miracle happened, Julie said It would only take O N E session for me to be good again and then follow up session is flexible depending on my change of habit and care. Julie then started treatment with me, her magic hands were massaging my jaw area and I could tell that she knows every acute point that was suffering pain and causing my problem. The session was about 1-1.5 hrs, I felt I have connected to my body again and the feeling of knowing what causes my problem was so great, which I never experienced gaining such clarity by going into other professionals. The result: NO POPPING SOUND! I was like, no way ... I couldn't believe it! My husband was skeptical because he hears the popping sound every time when I yawn or try to eat an apple but the sound is gone now! We were both truly amazed. I do not even have the word for it because I was frustrated with my previous experience and I didn't expect it to be so helpful. Julie also shared some nice tips in protecting my jaw movement. You may wonder, as I did, whether it is a long-lasting effect or just for that day, I am writing this review after months of my first session and the popping sound never comes back! My jaw gets sore at times still, due to my eating habit and sleeping habit are not completely changed. Now I know Julie and she is definitely my go-to when I think about getting another session for my tension release, I would not think otherwise and cannot recommend Julie highly enough. If you're suffering from TMJ or any jaw problem, Julie is the true healer you need. I am still thankful to her until this day. #TMJ #TMJdisorder #jawpain
