We had a very sick younger cat. Dr. Carter was concerned and sent us to an ER vet. The ER vet…read morediagnosed our cat with intermediate cell lymphoma, administered chemo and told us that additional testing was not needed. Dr. Carter got the test results and was not convinced it was lymphoma. She had us get different meds and order more testing. Within 48 hours of taking the non-lymphoma meds our cat was acting livelier than she had in months. Additional testing is still not 100% conclusive that we're out of the woods yet, but it is much more likely that our cat DOES NOT have cancer. Our family cannot thank Dr. Carter enough for her care and attention devoted to our lil' baby. We cannot imagine the route we would have taken had Dr. Carter not went the extra mile and treated our cat as if it was her own. We will be Dr. Carter patients for life!

In a moment of panic and trauma, that lack of empathy was incredibly painful. However, I feel it is vital to acknowledge the medical team that stepped in. Once we moved past the front desk, the level of care shifted entirely. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the veterinary assistants and to Dr. Wheet. Your genuine empathy, professional support, and kindness during such a horrific process were my only source of comfort.
