Amazing!! The staff is very nice . You need to try the Vegan Conchita yummy!!! Great atmosphere and smells delicious. Sarita is the daughter of Hernan the owner. Sarita was kind enough to donate conchitas for my volunteers that helped in my Giveaway .The Givaway helps the community by giving everything for free. Rebeca's Bakery has also helped when Pajaro flooded . I am a breast cancer survivor surviving. Hernan also helped me with an event to raise money for cancer awareness. They are full of love and care about the community! Also they take pride in the way they create this amazing pan dulce . I have sent some to Utah and Sacramento for the events and wow what a hit . . I came in specifically for the Concha with whipped cream and strawberries but sadly they're not in season in January. Most of the pastries that have whipped cream in them or on top of the cakes as pictured were not available. Disappointed. So I tried an empanada and a pastry that looked like a Bear claw. It was not a bear claw it had vanilla cream inside. Meh. I was told the empanada was pineapple which it was not. It was apple. Just ok. They also had some premade ham sandwiches that are made with their own Bolillo rolls. These were pretty good and a deal at only 4.50. Definitely coming back these and when strawberries and whipped cream are back in season. read more

I went to Rebeca's in search of a vegan concha and they did not disappoint!! I had it with coffee and it was freaking amazing. I haven't had a concha in ages and was nearly brought to tears with it's deliciousness. I also got some pan dulce and a pastry which I shared with a friend the next day. They were perfect. 3 pastries for under $4!! I nearly fell over it was so cheap for the quality. Can't wait to go back! I wish they could open shop in San Diego! read more

VEGAN PAN DULCE! I was in Watsonville for a dance class recently and typed Vegan in the Yelp search bar. Rebeca's Bakery popped up and I was too curious not to try it out. I've been there three times now. They have quite a few vegan pan dulce options, my favorite are the conchas! So light and fresh! I cannot go to Watsonville without stopping there for a bag of goodies! The shop is small, modern and clean. The service is amazing, whoever is working will kindly point out the vegan options if you ask. They are super friendly; I always walk out with a smile on my face. read more

We stopped here on our way home to SF from Carmel, and it was the best decision we made on our road trip. It's obvious it is a small family owned business and everyone working was super sweet and helpful. We unknowingly picked out a few vegan options and another customer who was clearly a very sweet regular pointed it out to us. She could tell we wanted to eat all the pan dulce. We instantly regretted not grabbing more vegan conchas when we got back on the road, they were soooo good and we could not tell they were vegan. Like all other mexican bakeries they don't show the prices of the pieces, I think that's NOT RIGHT. but in this one the cashier has like an iPad with photos of the pieces, and they just punch in the icon as many times as they want. Last time I was there I think that I was over charged, I ask for a receipt, the reacción of the clerk was like she saw the devil. I said forget it and walk away . After seeing numerous Instagram advertisements of this place, specifically the transformation of the concha... I decided to check them out! I arrived and was greeted by a nice woman! I quickly asked her do you have the Nutella, strawberry filled conchas ? She panicked, looked over at what I assume was her boss. Her boss looked at her, she looked at her boss back... as I was looking at both of them with no answer! The boss semi rolled her eyes and said I guess yeah make them and the poor employee looked at me with this "I'm sorry I just work here" look. I should have walked away, but I was already too deep into the craving. I would have been extremely OK with, "we sold out...it's too late, or we don't feel like making them!" Lol!! I watched them prepare it and trust me I can make them myself, without the Tude and with much better conchas AKA El Nopal! Anywho, the conchas were about $6 decent price and quite frankly were a very delightful dessert! I really wish I could give them at least 3 stars for the presentation and taste. My family and I just went into this bakery on a whim. Best decision ever! There were so many delicious breads and cakes to choose from. Everything seemed as though it was freshly baked! Yum! And everything is homemade too! The stale bread at stores can't hold a candle to this bakery! I tried a chocolate cake layered with whipped cream and it was delicious! The whipped cream and the chocolate cake balanced each other out well so it wasn't too sweet. I am a picky eater when it comes to pastries but this bakery has satisfied my tastebuds!
