Dr. Jen is a truly gifted chiropractor, intuitive healer, and an inspirational human being!…read more I severely injured my lower back lifting a concrete planter back in August and was suffering from sciatica that radiated down my left leg. The pain I was experiencing was so bad I could no longer physically do the things that I enjoyed. I had an MRI scan and was told that surgery was my best bet. I was desperate for relief but the risks of surgery scared me. At the insistence of my mom I decided to try the chiropractor she sees and speaks so highly of. My first meeting with Dr. Jen changed my life! Dr. Jen immediately understood what I was going through and meticulously went over my issues all the while taking down notes. She did some pin prick tests on my legs and attentively watched how I held my body posture. She then asked me to put on a gown so she could see and feel my spine, neck, and back. Never before have I experienced someone with this level experience, mastery, and passion in their work. I'm naturally not very trusting of others in a general sense but Dr. Jen shattered those negative habits and expectations in no time flat. Her precision adjustment on my lower left side had me literally laughing out loud. The relief I felt was priceless and I had a grin on my face the rest of the day. Four months of chronic pain was lifted from me. Dr. Jen continues to play a vital role in my healing process. In just a few weeks I have regained the ability to do the things I hadn't for months. I no longer will need surgery and my level of pain is drastically reduced. Her commitment to care is unparalleled and for that I will be forever grateful. Thank you Dr Jen

I didn't want to just take medications to alleviate the problems, so looked towards other means and methods, and acupuncture was one. Her approach is caring, her practice is comforting, her treatment is amazing, and her genuine personality makes the entire process over the top pleasing and healthy. I look forward to her treatments, it's an hour of complete and total care and relaxation with results. She's a gem!!

Her deep and broad knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and wholistic healing is quite amazing. I am so impressed and inspired with her diagnostic abilities and her treatment!! I went to her for tendonitis and pteurygiums and she helped me with both. I asked her a million questions, she patirntly listened, and everything that she said I fully resonated with. Gwen also gave me a Qi Gong exercise that works like a charm. Not to mention some excellent advice on nutrition and dietary habits. She is a real kind lovely human being and my daughter also absolutely loved Gwen: "she's REALLY cool!" , "shes a great acupuncturist!". She went for two treatments in her two week visit. I am so grateful that Gwen now resides here in Brookings! I will be going back every other week! I highly recommend !!!

My headaches have virtually disappeared, which is a miracle for me. Her techniques are spot-on, she has a great memory (she remembers what problems I have without having to ask), even with tons of patients. I would highly recommend her as a chiropractor. Downsides, she is only open 3 days a week, Mon Wed Fri. She will not bill your insurance up front, you have to pay for your visits, which is $30 (really good price). Then she will bill your insurance every so often, about every 4 months or so she goes on a billing spree, and your insurance will reimburse you for what they cover. She's cheap because she works there by herself, so be prepared for her to answer the phone in the middle of your visit, sometimes more than once. Its completely worth the trouble.

I got this done for the first time a few days ago and I still feel great! This photo was actually taken a couple of hours after my facial. I highly recommend this spa not only for the quality of care but also for the overall vibe of the space. It's very chic and clean. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable about all the treatments and are happy to explain in detail what they offer. Autumn booked me with Jess for a free consultation to discuss my skin type and to provide me with more details of each treatment. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable. I booked an afternoon appointment with Jess for the next day. The next morning, something came up, and I had to call to reschedule. They were able to move my appointment to an earlier slot the same day with Karla, their main esthetician. Please note: they must have a card on file and will charge $50 if you do not give 24 hours cancellation notice, so set a reminder on your phone and make sure you can keep your appointment! Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience at Belleza. 10/10!
