I really hate to write this but after raving about them in an earlier review, and visiting frequently since, I feel I have to. My son went in for me today and got a lemon filled, an apple filled, a maple, a sour cream and a couple of Kolachi. They were out of our favorite croissant donuts. Word to any business: always have enough of favorite items that your regular customers don't leave disappointed. It's worth it to you. That was the first bad news. Next was the Kolachi. Honestly they were so dry and so flavorless that we couldn't eat them. They were awful. We ate a few bites, but We threw most of them away. The doughnuts were good but not at the level they had been. Not sure what happened, but nothing like what we were accustomed to. read more

We are staying in Lakeland and wanted to treat the people we are working with. I looked up bakeries near me and saw the reviews. It is definitely worth the drive. Large assortment, freshly made. We were looking for a maple bacon and they said "we can make that!" I got a guava cheese turnover and it didn't disappoint. Crisp & flaky the correct ratio of guava and cream cheese. My friend got their glazed croissants. She said it was the best she has ever had. The place is clean and nice, the staff were friendly and happy to go out of the way for our maple bacon request. Prices were very reasonable. I'd say if you are in the area make sure and stop in. They also had some breakfast "sandwiches" dough with fillings baked inside we didn't try them but they looked good. read more

Pros: Reasey's doughnuts are soooooo incredibly soft and melt in your mouth! Who doesn't want that when they're biting into a delicious glazed treat?! We ordered a variety of flavors including original glazed, jelly filled, chocolate iced, chocolate glazed and an assortment of doughnuts iced and topped with sprinkles, fruity pebbles, coconut and captain crunch. I also tried the ham, egg and cheese biscuit. Not the best morning sandwich I've ever had, but still certainly a delight. My only complaint is that I wish the glazed and iced doughnuts had more icing to them. Hidden in a most obscure town we we're passing thru, we spotted the recognizable golden arches of a garbage McDonald's that forced us to pull ahead and wait in a tight spot on the side while others were served garbage food before us. Here is my ten-year-old's take on this place: "My eyes popped! These were the best donuts ever. They looked good, they smelled good, and they tasted amazing. The frosting was not liquidy or crumbly; the donut itself was not sticky (like Krispy Kreme) or dry (like Dunkin). They also had marble frosted donuts, which are hard to find. They serve fresh doughnuts and HOT breakfasts from about 4:30 a.m. to 1. The server is friendly and quick. They must have the "Hole in One Donuts" recipe for their light yeasty donuts are equally as tasty and melt-in-your-mouth. Oh my!! The sausage pockets (not sure what they are called) were phenomenal! You can get them mild, with cheese, or with cheese and jalapeños. Wow !!! This place is amazing. I had the pleasure of trying their unfrosted blueberry cake, apple fritter, and glazed croissant. I did not care for the unfrosted blueberry cake as it lacked sweetness and didn't give me the feeling of a donut. But, the other two were amazing. The fritters are extremely large and fresh. We were in town for an event and had to leave super early in the morning. Not excited about gas station coffee and found this place instead. The other reviews were dead on. The owner is from Chicagoland, and if you're from that area, that should tell you everything you need to know about these donuts. head and shoulders above everyone else's. Combine the friendliness of Chicago in days gone by with the artistry of the neighborhood bakery that made these kinds of donuts, and you have Reasey's. They even put their Bakery Goods in white cardboard boxes, the way they should be going out the door, so that the product does not sweat on itself and get gooey. I'm roughly 10 miles from this place and would happily drive there and back once or twice a week to get coffee and donuts or rolls. And their prices are tremendous! Simply amazing! Even if you're out of the way it's worth a trip to get what they have. Better get there early for the best selection, especially on weekends. They open early, and they close early.
