Barbara Sauer would not be an agent I would have chosen. From the photographer who took the MLS photos, the stager, the flyers, the asking price, nothing went well. The photographers photos looked distorted, the stager did not provide a professionally finished look, the flyers weren't written well. Barbara hired a cleaning crew that did not do what was promised. The crew came out on numerous occasions without a vacuum. Barbara let them take off the window screens without asking first. I requested some be left on, because I like the windows open for fresh air. The stager Barbara hired was not professional at all. Margo came into my home and walked around with Barbara, and both were making comments and snickers under their breath. The furniture, and accessories were broken down, chipped, or needing repair. Margo had the painters, whom I had working quickly, at the last minute, to finish painting for the open house, move furniture around for her staging....Barbara did not stop her. In fact I received a bill from the contractor for $200.00 which I brought to Barbara's attention. Barbara told me "well the house did not sell." ( so basically "tough"). We had Barbara represent the home for over 45 days, starting the end of April 2019, a great time to put a home on the market. We had so few "open house" lookers, I was shocked. Other homes in the neighborhood and area had much better turnouts for open houses. Barbara blamed "Ramadan" for the little turnout on one of the weekends. We ended up taking the house off the market for 30 days and putting it back on the MLS the end of July 2019, with another agent. Of course the market was not as busy at that time. If we had had the right realtor from the beginning, as well as the photos, and staging being appropriately done, as well as the original asking price.... I believe the house would have sold sooner. Other homes in the area were selling. When it was decided NOT to go forward with Barbara, she emailed a few times, pointing out how homes are not selling as fast, which I found this communication to be inappropriate, being Barbara was not representing us at that time.
It should be noted that when the house was put on the market with the new realtor chosen, there were consistently at least 7 groups through the house each weekend. With Barbara in 45+ days we had approximately 5 groups come through the home in total...... That speaks volumes. read more
