The sales team promises you a streamlined process to make sure your vendors meet your requirements but what you get is anything but. As a vendor I have had to increase my prices for all property management companies that use this horrible service. It adds hours of headaches and paperwork to a simple process. You may not notice it at first but any property management company will see your invoices from vendors ballon as they have to increase the prices to cover this increased cost of doing business. For example I provided a one time service and I have been working for 5 months to get paid the original invoice was for $1500. The additional work required by real page the back and forth with customer service and the additional insurance requirements have increased the invoice to over $3500 at this point. Every property manager I talk to hates it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this service. read more

My family is being denied because of this (A FALSE EVICTION THAT CLEARLY SAYS DISMISSAL! ) this is just your way of making it seem like you are doing something NO WONDER you have such bad reviews !!! I just applied for my dream apartment and great location. I was denied by Real Page due to my credit history. I immediately checked my Experian account and it shows I have 0 accounts in collections. I had a bankruptcy over 8 years that fell off already and should not be a factor. I make more than 3xs the amount of salary the apartment requires. I have called them multiple time and they are telling me to get my consumer report to dispute and it can takes weeks and I don't have that kind of time I have to move out of my current apartment because I already gave them notice. This has never happen to me before... it's insane! I have lived in my apartment for over 7 years and only 1 time I was late by 2 days to pay the rent because I forgot when I went out of town. I don't know what I'm suppose to do now.. all I can say if the apartment you are applying for uses Real Page do not bother to apply. They will get incorrect info and get you denied regardless of your character and how much you make. I am super broken hearted over this injustice and inaccurate information. Paige please help me and respond to my messages the call center for real page has not been able to help me please!!! read more

Forced to give a star...... 09-21-20 Seems we all have the same story ..... I was denied by Forest Park in Oakland Park, FL on 09-21. I dropped my 2 money orders off around 4:30 pm and by the time I got home and settled I checked my email around 5:49 pm and noticed an email indicating I was denied. I immediately opened the email only to find it was the above mentioned apartment community. I was pissed and immediately called the community which by this time they were closed, therefore, I emailed the community informing them of the scam they have in place ripping people off. I also called Realpage to inquire how I can get a copy of the "wrong/outdated" information they have on file for me. Realpage is reporting my Equifax credit score as 531 mean while both Credit Karma and Equifax shows my Score to be 691. Ironically, when leaving the apartment community I received a call from another rental property leaving a voicemail saying I was approved and I received a successful completion of a level II background for new employment the same day realpage reported inaccurate information via leasing desk. 09-22-20 I called the Forest Park to advise I would be coming to pick up my money order for the $250 admin fees and asked for the manager. I explained my concerns to the manager who asked me to send her an email of everything I told her and she stated she would get me approved. I told the manager it's sad they are collecting an $85 application fee from people with a supposedly 24-48 hour turnaround time for an approval or denial when in reality as soon as they get the money order a decision is made. I also told her the system they have in place is reporting inaccurate information resulting in people being inadvertently denied with all of that I am guessing it wasn't the first time she's heard that and decided she would escalate my issue for an approval. Regardless of her efforts I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and attempt to contact their corporate headquarters because no one deserves to take such losses due to a company's decision to use a system that reports wrong information. Very slow service. The apartment complex I applied to is using this company to verify documents. The leasing office lady said she sent in my application and the person thought mine was the previous application that she disqualified for eviction. How do you not check documents to verify and instead delay processing the documents. Please you all should reduce the processing time because this is for housing and people can be homeless because of delays. read more

Hi Real Page/Paige. My boyfriend (Nicholas Mauer) and I recently applied to an apartment in Dallas, TX and were denied due to a past apartment collection he had previously paid off. The report wrongly stated eviction on his report. We submitted a claim with the following case number SF07860807. All documents have been submitted with the claim as well. Please have someone reach out to us via direct message ASAP. We need to clear up the incorrect report in order to move. Our current lease ends in 1 week so we really need someone to fix the report mistake. THANK YOU! ELIZABETH read more

Terrible to say the least! I applied for a new apartment community. Leasing Page denied. I make 4x the rent and my credit score isnt bad. I also have credit cards and have NEVER been late on them. There were so many incorrect things on my report that it was comical. I was denied due to unsatisfactory credit score and Rental history unsatisfactory or insufficient. They only listed an apartment I lived in over 4 years ago so it seems as if I dont have any current rental history. They are reporting things from over 7 years ago, which is illegal and even have addresses on there from when I was in high school. The apartments are going fast and this process is holding me up. I am more than positive that what they are doing is illegal under FRCA. There was no way I should have been denied. 0 stars if I could read more

I'm excited to be move into an apartment so that I can attend my dream college. I finally found a place that I really like and quickly applied to it. My application was submitted but within a few hours was denied because my guarantor "does not have credit history." I said there must be a mistake?! Before applying I made sure my guarantor met all the requirements. I looked the company up and I see that they have a horrible review, with others having the same issue as me. Now I may most likely lose my money (application fees/ security deposit) because RealPage can not provide accurate information. Truly disappointed. read more

This will be my first review EVER for any company or establishment, but honestly, something must be said. I had paid my bill early, and on the due date, my payment was returned to me for some reason. I called the next day to inquire on this and the woman was not completely sure why. She informed me that I could go back and re-enter my payment information and process it again. I did just that and it worked. I entered the total amount that was shown and that was that. As soon as my bill was posted, I went back and looked it over to then see that additional charges were thrown in there - none of which were reflected before nor explained when I had inquired on my bill the first time. They refuse to remove it, even though I have it in my email that the total amount owed was paid in full. We have been living in our apartment complex for less than two months and to be having these issues already is so disappointing. This is the worst vendor. This company is a joke and the people they have working there seem absolutely clueless. I will be putting a complaint in with our main office, but truly this company should be extinct. read more

I would not use this company. They denied me an application put in for an apartment that we wanted and we could afford. We don't understand the reason for not being approved for this application and it could hurt us getting another apartment and leaving us homeless. I don't trust realpage.it does not help that they are used by most apartments. Both me and my boyfriend have never had fraud alert on our accounts and we have credit history that is good. I don't understand why they would do this. read more

RealPage - Why saying fraud alert there is none - Software Development Near Me - Richardson, Texas

I have never had any experience like today. I applied for an apartment and was told that I needed to turn in some type of letter for a disput about renta history stating that I still owe. I know that isn't correct but this is the first time I have heard about it. Then when I call realpage I had to go online and request for a report that will take 3-5 business days when I need it in less than 24 hours via the apartment where I am applying. I am not happy at all. read more

Like many others I have also been denied by Real Page software when I have never had any issues with applying for an apartment. The terrible part about this is that I have basically wasted almost $300 in application fees because the properties I want to move to use this software. There are major inaccuracies that pop up like Rental history unsatisfactory or insufficient, Credit history unsatisfactory, Credit history unsatisfactory, Criminal and other public records unsatisfactory. The results for one complex reflected different results than the other. I am paranoid and devastated by applying for apartments now because of this where as I haven't been in the past. There has to be some violation of the Fair Housing Act in terms of what is reported and how it impacts those who are qualified for housing being denied. Properties do not take the time to help applicants who have invested in the application process, Real Page does not help you resolve the issue. I am mortified and truly upset as the apartments I really wanted I am not unable to lease and am having to move to other properties as a result due to poor customer service and inaccuracies in results. read more

I was shocked to get a call today saying I was denied for an apartment. My jaw actually hit the ground when she told me. I have 800 credit scores, make good money, never missed a payment in over 15 years. Been married 20 years, teach the kids at church for many years. The reason they denied me? They show something "criminal" on my record. I have no criminal history of anything. I filled a dispute but now have the chance to have this apartment taken from me (the one we want). I attempted to lease a new apartment but got screened by Realpage, saying that I had a collections on my report that I was unaware of. I paid the collections company and had to get in touch with Realpage to further process validation. I contacted Realpage by submitting a "paid full" dispute to clear this, and also called Realpage number two days in a row but have not gotten anywhere with this issue. They never gave me a timeline or if even my case was being looked at. I have been stuck renting an expensive hotel while I helplessly wait. I have excellent credit, and everything else went through for my new apartment. The support team does not know ant information to further help me. read more

UPDATED************* So within 24hrs of Page contacting me. I was contacted by Leasing Desk and they told me my dispute was reinvestigated and overturn. I do appreciate Page for everything. I was just contacted by the property I applied for and about to move in. I had an evict dispute. ( I was young and didn't have my head in the right space.) I did was a responsible person would do I paid the settlement that was court ordered and provided my necessary document to them with my receipts and everything. I told them I was moving from another state with work and needed a place to live so if they could put priority on my case I would greatly appreciate it. They told me that they would put a priority on my case even though their investigation team normally takes 30 days to do a thorough investigation it usually is completed before that. I was fine with that. 25 days later they processed my case and told me I didn't have enough information to justified my case and told me to file another dispute. They also told me that they contacted the courts and someone told them that my balance was still outstanding and I hadn't paid anything. I called the courts and they told me the opposite that everything was paid and send my documentation from the courts as well as letter from a judge stating the case was settled and dismissed. I called several times during the 25 days it took them to make a decision on my case and ask if they needed any other documentation that was help assist them and I kept getting the run around. So he I am living in my truck until they can finish there "investigation" that they have no time table on. PLEASE PLEASE Stay away from they guys. Terrible product/service. One of their representatives contacted me regarding the vendor process. Said you had to register over the phone....the phone system tells you to register online. I already reached out to RealPage. They said the issue was resolved... it wasn't. Please take caution. Regardless of what the amount due is and what the relevant transaction is, RealPage seems to charge 3% on total potential charges for the month. That is to say, if I paid my rent through check, but still had roughly $72.00 due for utilities, I could get charged a convenience fee that is actually larger than the amount due (say $90 convenience fee). How is the convenience fee larger than the amount due in the transaction? In a competitive market place, this business model should not survive. I can't just pay my 3% on my $72.00 amount due? Jeez. Do I need to sue now? Because that is an option. **In regards to contacting my property directly, they said to contact RealPage. It's unbelievable that RealPage is standing by this. Obviously for future reference, paying utilities through a check or through a bank account is the way to go as there is no fee, but for individuals who are using RealPage for the first time, there is absolutely no differentiation between making a payment with a credit/debit card for a small amount and the full amount of your rent and other charges. You will be charged the convenience fee for the full amount of 'all possible charges' even if they aren't relevant to the transaction. I already learned from my mistake the first time. It was a 'gotcha moment.' It won't happen again and I stand by my belief that I should be reimbursed for the difference between the amount I paid for the convenience fee on the amount due and the convenience fee for 'all possible charges.' This is roughly $84.00. This isn't right. Just saying - read more

Real Page is unbelievable! I applied for an apartment and was I get an email from real page stating I was denied due to fraud alert and insufficient credit history. I am so pissed!!! I have a fraud alert on my credit and my credit is decent even thought real page show points lower. I just paid an $150 app fee and a $300 admin fees. I was told by the apartments we are trying to lease from that it will take 3-5 business days to resolve my dispute. We have not obtained a letter yet but have sent the apartments receipts that confirm our payment and show that it has been processed. This is absolutely ridiculous. My lease is ending soon hence my neighbor and I have applied for a place in DT San Diego just a couple minutes from the building I'm currently leasing at the moment. I received an inaccurate rental report that populated w/ "Criminal and other public records unsatisfactory". I called to dispute and I was told to fill out a dispute form. How am I suppose to contest something over a form? I've asked for a copy of the report as I don't even know what they could have possibly had against me. Not only have I not received a copy of the report, but they've responded back to my dispute form by "regretfully" informing me that once again my application wasn't approved. It was literally a copy and paste of the original email. I've already payed a deposit for this unit but this false report is causing such a delay... this is utterly absurd. read more

Real Page has bogus things on my rental history. I have never in my life been denied for an apartment, but yesterday I applied for an apartment in Florida and got a denial email stating my rental history was unsatisfactory. I asked the leasing agent what that meant and she stated that I had an eviction on my record, and that they do not lease to individuals with evictions! This is bogus! I have never in my life EVER been evicted from anywhere. I called the leasing desk and I got some generic response about how I need to request my consumer file which can take dayssssss and then file a dispute which can take 30 days! I am going to lose this apartment by the time this is resolved, due to no error of my own. I have reviewed ALL 3 of my credit reports and there's is no public record of evictions or judgments and I have also checked with the clerks office in every county I've ever lived in and they have no records of evictions either. Where did you guys get this false information to report to apartments?! This company should not be allowed to operate under these standards with reporting false information. You guys are leaving people homeless! This is not ok! Someone please fix this ASAP! read more

This company provides inaccurate information and messes with peoples lives. I have rented an apartment for 7 years and a house after that for 2 years. Prior to that I owned my home - this company turned me down for a lease stating there was no rental history for me. They provided this inaccurate information in 15 minutes! Which will tell you they are NOT doing any research whatsoever. From the number of complaints I can't believe there isn't a class action suit against them. read more

Horrible experience They reported incorrect information on my tenant report which then prevented me from getting an apartment and then told me that it would take 10 business days to file a dispute and correct it. This software inaccurately reported that I had 3 evictions, which caused me to get denied by three apartments. After the error was caught, my consumer report was updated, BUT THE EVICTIONS were still notated in one source (application software apartments use). The apartment leasing agent and I reached out numerous times just to be told, it could take up to 90 days for it to be updated. They also refused to provide a letter or documentation that could've helped me still bypass their error. I ended up messing out on my dream apartment and had to find somewhere else that doesn't use RealPage aka leasing desk! read more

This company ruins people's lives. I got denied for a transfer to a different apt with the company I was already renting from. I was shocked to find out the rental verification had someone with a similar name in a different state had an eviction and it was showing up under my info due to this company's error. No one would rent to me because of it. I lost a lot of money in application fees & I ended up having to live in a hotel with my toddlers due to their error. Extremely upset, been sick to my stomach all day for what my daughter is going through. Her story is so identical to many of these post. All for apartment rental. She has excellent credit, clear background check (she had one done just little over a year ago), clear rental history, and paid $350. And this place is making my daughter do all these items without any real reason, except came back failed for criminal and other. She even went to the police station to verify, they pulled all they could and she was clean. This is ridiculous. Police station suggested us pulling her criminal record. Well we just pulled her criminal back ground and looks like when this company pulled only used name and birthdate instead of DL#. When you pull with name and birthdate it pulls in only one record and it is definitely not my daughter. Any person that has any brain could see the issue. The person they pulled has different skin color, different middle name and different birth year. read more

An apartment I just applied for denied me because the background check came back that I was a criminal and in federal prison. This persons name was Brandon and my name is Braden. I called leasing desk to dispute this since the information pulled was not even for me. I was spun around in circles by their customer service telling me I would hear something in 1-5 business days. unfortunately, I did not hear anything so I called on the sixth day. I have been trying to get this company to dispute and correct information since 09/09/19 now and it's been a BRICK WALL. The reps claim they are located in TEXAS but their is a HUGE language barrier because you can't understand anything and they don't understand you. I had to repeat myself FOUR TIMES TODAY (09/18/19) as he did not understand the question and proceeded to speak about something other than what was asked. When asked for a manager; they place you on a dead hold forcing you to hang up NOT understanding these disputes are serious. This is the well-being of having a roof over your head and children to those who have them; (myself) REAL PAGE does not investigate properly or seek to correct information; if you say the balance is incorrect-they send an email asking for the ledger. That's all! Then send a resolution email indicating it's correct instead of questioning the property on the findings. I attach emails where it showed the PROPERTY indicating that monies had not been applied and they would get it deducted; real page failed to act on it themselves. I sent them receipts as the manager requested where it showed all payments made-they failed to act on it. Provide them supporting information of why and how many times for sure I was actually late paying due to portal issues; they failed to act on it. I also submitted a complaint to the BBB in which they are trying to find the proper contact to answer complaint. This company will be under fire in no time as no one is working for consumers but trying to destroy them. Seriously. This will be escalated until I can't escalate any longer. Please PAIGE or any manager that reads this-help me get this resolved please. read more

I called the county court offices in various states to verify and they too said I had no records, other than a traffic citation. I searched my name under the background website and found nothing as well. I am also a licensed Realtor, which requires me to have a clean record. I tried calling the number provided in the e-mail which directed me to visit them online to submit a dispute.
