Case in point: I have two baby teeth that every other dentist over the last 20 years wanted to yank out and replace with implants (probably because implants are profitable). But those teeth are still sitting firm in my mouth--no issues. Instead of pushing unnecessary procedures, this dentist is helping me keep them healthy for as long as possible. I came into…read morea simple cap re-cement (which I had done several times with my dentist in NJ in minutes and at no cost) to the office trying to force me into an evaluation, extra unnecessary x-rays BEFORE the dentist even saw me. It is important to note that at the start of my visit they told me my visit was covered. However, when no X-rays were needed (they had done just a few months ago during my cleaning visit) then the office manager informed me they needed to charge me $100 but that they would submit the claim. Time passes and no claim was submitted. I had to call Delta Dental and they contacted dentist office. Today 9/16, I called the dentist because they did not even have the courtesy to inform me that the insurance claim was being processed or they received payment from insurance on 9/14. Lady on the phone, today 9/16, claimed that the original visit was an evaluation and she continually argue her point. I pointed out that the only reason for me making the appointment was to re-cement the cap. Nobody should switch the reason for my appt or switch costs on me in the middle of the appointment. Now I have to wait for the office manager to call me after an evaluation of how much money they should returned. Again, this was a 15 minute no charge visit with my old New Jersey Dentist. It is a shame that Smile4Life office can treat a patient who has been going to them in this manner. Truly a shame.
