I was recommended to Dr. Abrahams by a very prominent local resident. After researching and seeing he was board cetified, U Penn Ivy dental school trained I chose his practice. Also he took my dental plan and the addilaited contract rates for procedures. As i approach Medicare age, the bonding in my upper teath done 40 years ago was breaking down. Causing decay and required a quick action plan. The plan. In order Taking impressions of upper teeth and ordering quality temps. Removing all the bonding. Identifying any teeth needing removal or repair. ( 2 needed to be removed due to infection) Inserting 2 implant screws. Installing gorgeous temp. 7 hrs in a chair in one sitting. Next day zero pain and eating without issue Next after allowing implant to bind with jaw Finishing with 12 best in class crowns. Outcome a wonderful aestheticly pleasing and healthy smile. read more

A dentist and office staff with the charm of a five star hotel. Yes, this that is how I shall start my review because it could not be any more true when I think about Dr. Abraham's and his staff at Dental Implants on Miami Beach. I did not find myself at this office for any type of implants in my mouth, although I am sure the doctor and his staff are fantastic about that. But rather I am a patient for routine cleanings. Sure, my wife, or at the time, girlfriend, did tell me about this office, and ever since, even having moved far off the beach, have stayed a loyal patient with the doctor. I only have short stint with an employer where the insurance did not align and so I had to stop seeing Dr. Abraham's for a short while, however the moment I was able to return, I did so right away. As a tip I wrote on Yelp eludes to, you start with the ease of access and the parking. I always park right on Alton Road, just east of the hospital and just north of 41st. Beach buddies of mine will know what I am talking about and other can easily look on a map. This parking is free for all and let us keep that between us Yelpers to keep the sports available. :) Once you make your appointment, find your easy parking space and know you are on your way, the rest of the experience at Dr. Abraham's office and with Dental Implants is truly a wonderful one. His automated email and text message systems, should you opt in, will never let you forget or miss an appointment. Just after you leave the office, you will receive both as a reminder and so setting up the follow-up or next visit is a breeze. But that is getting ahead, first for the normal visit. You walk into the office that looks, smells and truly is inviting. The soft music playing is inviting and the staff whom will greet you are always kind and ready for your questions about anything. I never wait more than a few minutes as if it seems the hygienist or doctor is ready and waiting for me, which of course is not true, however they schedule and work at such a decent pace, they are able to keep up with all their patients. The waiting room is not packed and the mood is just right. The hygienist the doctor has on staff are so very kind. I have worked with "Rosie" for many years and her touch with even the very sensitive spots in my mouth always leave a great feeling after the cleaning. You will have a visit from the doctor himself, whom walks in and always has kind words to say and good fodder to boot. Once you are complete, the outgoing process is just as much a breeze and you will not want to step out so fast. You may receive a goodie bag after your cleaning and a simple reminder toe floss, if you are like me. Ha. Ha. So happy smiles and keep brushing. SYOY! read more

Until recently I thought highly of this office. However, I had a dental problem that was far more serious than the dentist initially stated. Then, the treatment proposed was not in my best interest. The estimate of cost for the treatment was over $12K. Then the next day it was reduced to $7K. So I would have been overcharged by $5K had I not expressed concern about the price. I didn't have the procedure at this office. When I advised the office I was going elsewhere for treatment, they did not even reply. I do not think that my situation was handled well at all and was very disappointed in this office. I have never had very good luck with dentists. I've had many and they have all fit nicely into the catagory of racketeer or incompetence. Three years ago I wandered into Howard Abraham's office at the behest of my insurance company and I have never regretted a single visit. Howard has done his damndest to save my "soft teeth", as Dr. Quackenbush called them 50 years ago, and he has done a good job of it. He has come up with new solutions for my mouth but why shouldn't he; he is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (my alma mata) and one cannot do any better than an Ivy League dental school. It runs in his family, Howard's dad is a dentist as well, but not practicing here. Howard's staff doesn't change and they are all charming. His office is modern and the decore is upscale and neat. I love having somebody ask what I would like to view online as I am having my roots deep scaled. My opinion of Dr. Abrahams and his office is shared by my wife and also my cousin. He is always ready with encouragement and a big smile for people like me who are nearly beyond hope BUT Howard works with specialists in implants and has a plan to fit nearly everybody's budget. He did his graduate work in prosthodontics (Becoming a prosthodontist requires an additional three years of postgraduate specialty training after obtaining a dental degree. Training consists of rigorous clinical and didactic preparation in the basic sciences, head and neck anatomy, biomedical sciences, biomaterial sciences, function of occlusion (bite), TMJ, and treatment planning and experience treating full-mouth reconstruction cases, and esthetics. Due to this extensive training, prosthodontists are required to treat complex cases and full-mouth rehabilitation.) The front desk staff Giselle and Sylvia are very rude, disrespectful, discoueteous and unfriendly. They are not helpful and do not provide a positive experience. They will raise their tone of voice, argue with you, be very defensive with information that you request and will not give you the proper and correct information, simply stating to you that "they have other patients to work with and that you are not their only patient" and basically hang up on you. It is quite evident that both Giselle and Sylvia have obvious emotional baggage themselves that they bring to work......or maybe they wake up cranky like that? These two staff ruin it for Dr. Abrahams and ruin any business coming in for him, which is a shame. Stay away! There are plenty of other dentists that provide a front desk staff that are kind, compassionate and understanding. These two ladies are definitely very emo and for no good reason. I want to preface this by saying that this is my first yelp review and I don't consider myself a person that complains a lot. I work in healthcare and generally don't get annoyed with things like long wait times or a rude receptionist (neither of which happened here) because I know that these things aren't always in the provider's control. However, I do have a problem with poor results. I called Dr. Abrahams after a veneer on my front tooth fell off. I needed a temporary veneer ASAP and to be fitted for a new permanent one. I saw the other negative reviews, but it was an emergency so I went ahead anyway. Dr. Abrahams seemed in a rush and was working on other patients intermittently during my appointment. When my X-rays were taken, the dental hygienist did not use the lead protector for my body. I dont know the protocol or anything, but every other dentist I have ever had uses a shield. On my way home, small pieces of cement kept falling off my teeth. Less than an hour after I left Dr. Abrahams office, my temporary veneer had crumbled off. I did not attempt to eat anything or even talk to anybody in that time. I called and they had me come back right away, which was good. During the second try of the procedure, he called for the hygienist from another room where I had seen her cleaning before. She did not change her gloves before taking the tools and putting her wet, gloved hands on my face. Dr. Abrahams put new temporaries on with stronger cement, which are still on today. However, the line between the temporaries is crooked and my left veneer extends above and outside of my gum line, causing it to feel loose and sometimes painful. The next day, I discovered my upper lip and nose were visibly bruised. I had to get extra makeup to cover the discoloration and my upper lip was so swollen that it was hard to close my lips. I've had veneers placed before and have never had anything like this. After all of this, I called the office to tell them that I wanted to have my permanent veneers done elsewhere. I requested that the impressions they took be kept so I could pick them up and take them to a new dentist. The receptionist called me back and told me they cancelled the impressions and that it was impossible to get the impressions back. I asked for the lab number to call myself and the receptionist refused to even tell me the name of the lab, which seemed pretty fishy. One positive is that Dr. Abrahams is mailing me a refund for the veneers I prepaid for because I'm self pay. I haven't received the check yet, but I hope to soon. read more

Dr. Abrahahams seems like a nice person but he is not a good Dentist!!! He was reccomended to me as a specialist for implants and dentures, I had my tooth done in his surgery but the tooth (implant) fell off within a month, He tried to fixed it couple of times but it did not last even for a week, and even after he promised or guaranteed that it should be OK for at least 6 months, which is also strange,??? after you pay to professional or specialist for implant/dentures and he only tells you up to 6 months.??? It did not last and for simple reason,because He uses cheap and old material,and do not care about his result!!! Last time I spend only under 20 minutes there, so obviously the tooh feel out after 3 days, He refused to refund me the money after I asked for the refund!!! I strongly recommend anybody else, even a dentist nurse this days can glue/cement your tooth better that Dr. Abrahams!!! and I also advise to pay little bit more to any other dentist who will do the job properly.
