From the front desk receptionist to the dental assistants to Dr. Gutt himself, I can't speak highly enough of this entire office. I made an appt with Dr. Gutt per a referral from another dentist for a crown lengthening to even out my teeth 2 months before my wedding (I'm a procrastinator). After my procedure, Dr. Gutt texted me multiple times to check in on how I was doing, as did the front desk with their follow up calls and post-op care reminders. Dr. Gutt knew I was under the gun for my gums to heal before my wedding and made sure I knew it was also important to him that they healed in time. He really made me feel like a priority and not just a regular patient. I'm sure many of his patients would attest to that as well because it is obvious that he not only takes pride in his craft but that he genuinely cares about his patients. I felt like I was under the best possible care being a patient of Dr. Gutt and would recommend him to anyone in search of an excellent periodontist. They also do great cleanings! Thank you to Dr. Gutt and the rest of the office for your kindness, your professionalism and for making me so confident in my smile for my wedding day! read more

This guy is clearly over the hill and past his prime in giving appropriate care. He is lazy ( maybe because he is so grossly overweight?), uncompassionate, incompetent and uncaring. He strictly is out for the almighty dollar and sees only dollar signs. I was traveling from New York and came to Dr. Gutt for an abscess tooth. He absolutely str8 up did NOTHING but tell me I have an infection. Not only is he the queen of obvious (thank you for telling me that, DR. GUTT) but he did not drain my abscess, did not prescribe me antibiotics and did not recommend any gum treatment whatsoever, including flap surgery, laser surgery or implant, all of which he does in-office. He basically told me I have an infection and walked out of the room. I don't know what you are going through, Dr. Gutt, but you need to get your license revoked. You are truly an endangerment to society and you definitely should NOT be practicing. read more

Dr. Gutt's office staff was very nice and accommodating. The exam room was clean. Dr. Gutt took a good amount of time discussing options for an implant vs. crown lengthening and was very pleasant. In the end, I chose not use his services, because I constantly felt like I was being up-charged. I confirmed my suspicions after being evaluated by another office. I realized that if I pursued the procedure with his office, I would be paying extra for services that were included by other offices. For example, I paid $350 for a CBCT scan because he said he could not give me an estimate without it. I was caught off guard by the price, but had already agreed to it. I felt foolish after leaving the office, like I had just been had. In my next consultation at another office, the scan was free as were the repeat scans. Also included in the second offices estimate was a surgiguide.... a tool that was going to cost me $1450 at Dr Gutt's office. I felt pressure to pursue additional gum transplant surgery, not mentioned by any other provider. Furthermore, the office and Dr Gutt pressured me not to submit the estimate to my dental insurance. The next consultation provided me the negotiated insurance pricing next to the cash price and was happy to submit the claim. Dr Gutt's office may be correct in their opinion that the insurance will deny the claim, but I am still entitled to he negotiated pricing. So, as you can see, I am confident in Dr. Gutt's ability, but feel uncomfortable with the billing and pricing. I feel so stupid that I gave away $350 for a 10 second CT, just so I could be given a very high estimate, especially when the next office performed the same exact scan for free. read more

Dr Gutt is great ! I had all my gums done and he was very gentle . I would highly recommend him.

Just visited Dr. Gutt's office for a cleaning on Monday with Marilyn Gamboa, his wonderful Hygienist. I'd been going to a dentist in South Beach since 2004, but recently decided to switch because the last time I was there the hygienist and receptionist were less than professional- discussing their dating lives and gossiping about their friends while I sat on the chair helplessly. Dr. Gutt, Marilyn, and their receptionist were like a glass of cold water in the middle of the desert- welcomed and needed! I was referred to the office by my fiancee who always raved about them and I'm glad I finally listened. Marilyn was very attentive and thorough. She referred to my chart a few times which made me feel great because she actually took the time to read my history. She told me what she was doing and why as she worked and made sure I felt comfortable throughout. While she was working Dr. Gutt came into the room to introduce himself and welcome me to the office, which was a far cry from my old dentist. In the 4 years that I went to his office I only saw him once and that was a year in when I needed a referral to have my wisdom teeth pulled! Even though they require payment on the day of your visit and my insurance doesn't fully cover the visit since Dr. Gutt is a specialist, I don't mind. I'd rather spend a little and be able to feel confident that I'm trusting my teeth to professionals. What really sealed the deal was when I opened my mailbox today and found a personalized thank you letter from his office! Highly recommended! read more

I highly recommend Dr Gutt's office. I've been going there for over a year and a half. The office staff is extremely nice, friendly, helpful and professional. Dr Gutt is tremendous as well. The office is very nice and relaxing. I think it's my favorite Dr's office ever. They do a great job with everything. I even go there for my cleanings now twice a year alternating with my dentist. I'm happy to pay a little extra because they do a great job, even much better than my dentist. The difference seems to be in the specialized attention you get here. I also had gum grafting done by Dr Gutt. It went perfectly. A year and a half later, my gums are perfect! Extreme care, patience, diligence, and follow-ups ensured all went well. I cannot say enough about this office. Once again, highly recommended! read more

I just got a tooth extracted and an implant placed by Dr. Mark Gutt. Firstly, the staff was very courteous and nice and extremely professional. They made me feel very comfortable and helped me feel relaxed and calm. Dr. Gutt is extremely professional and is a master at his profession. He is not only extremely knowledgeable but also uses the latest in digital technology. Dr. Gutt has a wonderful chair side manner and is so so calming that I was singing along to Tom Jones during an implant surgery. :) My appointment was painless from start to finish and everything was explained in detail and all my questions answered. I would recommend him, above any other periodontist, for any periodontal surgery including extractions and implants. I would rank him within the top specialists in south Florida. read more

I was not thrilled to find out I needed oral surgery but Dr. Gutt and his staff were definitely the place to go. They were wonderful and do excellent follow up. My exceptional experience at the office of Dr. Mark Gutt, Board Certified Periodontist. I am happy with the quality of care, expertise, professionalism, knowledge and kind manner of Dr. Mark Gutt and his friendly staff. I recently went through tooth replacement therapy at the office of Dr. Gutt. This consisted of extracting my unsalvageable tooth, receiving a bone graft and then after a short tie of healing, Dr. Gutt gently place my dental implant. My experience was pleasant and I was impressed with the high level of service and care that I received! Sincere Appreciation! Just finished a years care after a LANAP Laser procedure with Dr Gutt. My teeth have never felt better. Dr Gutt fully explained the procedure step by step from the initial day of the procedure and the follow on care for a year. The procedure was not fun but Dr Gutt ensured that I was as comfortable as possible. He taught me new techniques to care for my teeth and followed my progress as promised each month. I must say that I was a good patient as this is not cheap. If you are committed to helping yourself by getting this procedure and following his advice, then he is your man. He is dedicated to helping you - do what he tells you to do. I did and couldn't be happier!!!! Joe from Key West, FL read more
