Working under owner Austin Connell at American Precision Contracting, LLC and CONCRETE COWBOYS LLC…read morewas one of the most unprofessional and uncomfortable work experiences I've ever had. The way he treated Black employees was consistently disrespectful, dismissive, and noticeably different from how he interacted with others. These weren't isolated moments -- it was a pattern that created a workplace culture where certain people were clearly not valued or treated equally. As the owner, he sets the standard for the entire company, and the standard he created was toxic. The environment felt hostile, unfair, and completely lacking in basic respect. Anyone considering working with or for these companies should be aware of the serious issues in how leadership treats people. This is not a place where all employees are given equal dignity or support, and that starts at the top.

STAY AWAY I am…read morewriting this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with American Precision Contracting, LLC or Concrete Cowboys. The advertisement was for Concrete Cowboys and the check was made out to Concrete Cowboys. I hired them in part because they claim to be Veteran owned, for I am an honorable discharged veteran, and I am embarrassed they are using that status in promotion of their business. This type of behavior is not what was taught in any of the Armed Services. I hired them for a concrete job in the middle of April and was told about 5 weeks and provided a substantial deposit. After several attempts to reach out for scheduling which was then week 11, and no answers I finally did hear back on week 13 in which I kindly asked for my deposit back. When questioned, the owner vaguely refers to the deposit being for materials. However, given that our job was not custom and involved standard concrete work, any materials purchased should be reusable for other projects. This explanation feels like a flimsy excuse for holding onto our money without providing the agreed-upon service. The delays were attributed to a medical procedure, and he would look at the upcoming weather and reach out. Two weeks later and still no response. I feel these excuses for the lack of communication is unacceptable and yet still insists on keeping my deposit. This level of delay is simply unacceptable, especially after taking a deposit and lack of communication. At no point was I told the deposit he claims is nonrefundable. I handed over my check and after 5 - 10 minutes, I was asked to sign which only appeared to be the Estimate Page. Communication has been poor, and the constant delays without concrete (no pun intended) reasons or new, firm timelines are incredibly frustrating. I am now in a difficult position, out a significant deposit, and still without the concrete work done nor any date options. I strongly advise anyone considering American Precision Contracting, LLC or Concrete Cowboys for their concrete needs to proceed with extreme caution. Their inability to adhere to timelines, poor communication, and questionable handling of deposits make them a company I would not recommend. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere and I am on the list. Today someone did answer back, and luckily I seen in my SPAM for text messages, after I threatened to post the review, report to DPOR and court, I was told it was "uncalled for and unnecessary." And now I am being told the deposit is paid to the sales agent that does your contract". Which by the way, No longer works with the company. What is the deposit for? Materials or commission. Hmmm Issues? Which I would think makes the contract null and void if the person that was representing the company no longer works for them? I believe an honorable veteran would have tried to make things right instead of making excuses.
