This location is ok. They don't have as much fruit as my go-to location and didn't have any good spinach or kale but I was able to find my gluten and dairy free pizza and yogurt. It was interesting to see that they have live fish and sea animals for sale. I have never seen that in another superstore before. This location seemed to have a large clothing section (it might be bigger than my usual store) but I found the inventory low on certain items Saturday evening. Would I Return? First time here. It's basically a supersized Loblaws with lower prices. Too fancy for a super store. Doesn't feel like Costco or Sam's club at all. They pretty much sell everything, but their main brands are PC, no name, Joe fresh (clothes), and everyday essentials (appliances). Plenty of free parking. Friendly service. A bit far from where I live, but it's totally worth the drive. read more

While this review isn't for the Real Canadian Superstore itself, it's for one specific service within the store: Moneysworth & Best. It's a store that specializes in shoes, boot repair bags, zipper repairs, watch batteries changes, and key-cutting service. It's the last of these specialties that led me to this store. A few weeks ago, I was in Toronto visiting my grandparents, who are both in their nineties. While they are no longer driving, they both have cars that family members drive them around in when visiting. The challenge is keeping the keys straight (as many Yelp readers will be able to relate to). My aunt asked me to get a copy of keys made for my grandmother's car. I know I could have gone to the dealer (and paid quite a hefty rate for this) though I decided to try a local hardware store first. Unfortunately, they do not not make car keys for security reasons though they said there was a nearby key specialist that may be able to help if anyone can. I found the Real Canadian Superstore around the corner with plenty of parking, so I headed there and found someone inside who could direct me to Moneysworth & Best in the basement. Upon arriving there in the rather small shop, the owner/manager Matthew was working and helping one other customer. Upon explaining to him what I was looking to do, he said that while newer cars keys can be copied, he was able to make older car keys. Fortunately, my grandmother's car is VERY old and he had a key that could fit. He worked quickly and made a perfect copy of the car key and the car entry key. The cost ended up being a fraction of the cost of what I would have paid at the dealership, and now we have a back-up set of keys should another set get lost. I love this store!! Honestly when I come here, it's like time stops. I liken it to being in a casino. When I leave, I'm all disoriented, I don't know if it's AM or PM or how long I was in there. I just know that I have a cartload of food and clothes and anything else you can imagine and I'm happy. Some people have been complaining about the price...but the prices sit sort of in the middle of Loblaws (which is too rich for my blood) and No Frills (dig them too) and that's fine with me. I enjoy myself more at RCSS so I'll pay a bit more. Stores like Metro have prices skyrocketing (who do they think they are, Longo's?) so it makes me appreciate RCSS even more. I love PC products to begin with, so it's win-win. I love their bread selection and I've never found the produce to be that bad. I really love the JOE clothing as well. I'm at that awkward age where I can't dress like a teen anymore but I'm not ready for Reitman's either. Most of my wardrobe is now Joe Fresh, which I like to tell people "I got my clothes at Loblaws". It's climbing a bit in price but when the stuff goes on sale it goes ON SALE. Terrible pick up service. Honestly it is faster to shop yourself and the kids answering the phone have no clue about how to talk to people. Please train your employees on how to speak over the phone...phrases such as urrmmm, not sure and I don't know what to say just doesn't cut it. read more

Overpriced, too big of a store. Honestly it is too overwhelming, I don't know how you can enjoy doing groceries there. Also I used to take a look at their clothing line every once in a while for some cool contemporary pieces but since when does Joe charge $100 for shoes? read more

A gigantic store to do your groceries & buy a some clothes from JOE FRESH' If you have the time this is the place for you The prices can be a little high but the veggies are pretty good. I only go here if Im close by. Besides that its not my usual store I go to. The customer service stinks! they always seem to be to busy to help their customers. Dont go to the washroom there. Usually theres a line up & its not very tidy. read more

I've been to this one a few times, and it fits the bill for me when I need to buy a little bit of everything. It is comparable to a Super Target for those of you from the States like me. The fitting room situation was frustrating, however. It was annoying to have to go in and out of the room to get my items that were over the limit of 6. I had to walk past a line of frowning customers, so I gave up and ended up not buying what I didn't get to try on since I felt bad that the line was so long. Suggestion: More fitting rooms. Your clothing selection is HUGE and you have three stalls. Use your brains, people. read more

I love this superstore, they have so many great options. The food sold there is amazing, super clean. Staff is pleasant. Always has great deals, and activity events. I love that there is a gym there, I can grocery shop and go to the gym. Doing two things at one location. read more

They need more cashiers!!!! There quality in the produce is getting horrible for the price. They have messed up on my cake order were they missed placed my order. They offered to replace my order but I had to be at my sons party in 30 minutes. They gave me a free cake but it was dry and stale. I do not recommend this place read more

Its a huge place to shop around and get things done! By getting things done I mean its all there and fully stocked so you would not have to go any place else. The entire store is kept clean and the washrooms are in a very decent condition. They also have their own parking. read more

I love this place! It's a huge store with a lot to take in so if you get overwhelmed quickly, this place isn't for you. They have a wide range if food choices. Seafood, meats, cheese, olive bar (which I hate olives but this place makes them look fancy) oh, and the cake section. Yum. They even have a pharmacy and a Joe Fresh clothing section which is pretty awesome. A Goodlife gym for woman only up top which is a bonus. Finding workers sometimes is hard since the store is soo big. & self checkout sometimes is a nightmare since machines aren't always reliable. They only seem to have three cashiers open. Unless it's SUUUPER DOOPER busy which is quite rare. Regardless, I love this place. read more

I hadn't been to this location in over 5 years, but I was in the area and needed to pick up a few things, so I thought....why not hit this store. Considering the size of the store (its massive with a capital M), it was fairly quiet. This could be because it was a Tuesday afternoon at around 1ish.....but it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Great prices......Loblaws/Fortinos/Real Cdn Superstore have really stepped up their competitiveness and now offer some really great sales. As this is not where I normally shop, I was unfamiliar with the layout of the store, but I managed to find things after hunting for them. Clean store, friendly cashiers, great prices....just wished it was closer to where I live and I'd become a devotee. read more

Live in Winnipeg and the prices are great but customer service is the WORST i have ever experienced. Not sure the good prices are worth it!

It's your average grocery store. Beware of the deli. On more then one occasion l came home with cold cuts that were already bad or lasted only a day regardless of their expiry date. Try it before you buy. Always a shortage of cashier. Love the underground parking. read more

This gas bar opened in late 2012 in the parking lot south of the Real Canadian Superstore in Weston, ON. It offers gas at a discount as well as a cents-off coupon you can use for grocery purchases at any Real Canadian Superstore location as well as any No Frills or Loblaws location. Good to know if you need cheap gas (and who doesn't?) and you shop at one of these grocery stores anyway. read more

Im a regular customer at The Real Canadian Superstore, and shop twice a week; spending large amounts of money. I shop with this brand because of the cleanliness of the store, fresher products and the atmosphere while shopping, thus willing to pay a premium to do so. On Sunday October 19th, 2014 3:57pm I rushed to the washroom, before shopping. Upon walking in I was faced with a foul odor, I had no choice but to use the washroom and did so. While using the washroom, I looked down at the toilet to notice shit smeared just below the toilet seat, near my pants. I stood at the customer service desk for over 15 minutes waiting for management to arrive, I addressed the situation and showed pictures of the toilet and as well as 'The Washroom Maintenance Report' which was ONLY signed at 7:00 AM. The manager looked unimpressed with my complaint and made me feel as if I was wasting his time. I quickly grabbed a few items which I needed and rushed home. Once home, I felt so disgusted that I immediately took a shower and needed to dress in fresh clothes. This is how people get sick and diseases are transmitted. I expect further action to be taken, and to be contacted regarding the severity of the situation. I will continue to escalate the issue until addressed. read more

Best place ever even better than wal mart : P. Its a great place where you can go shop for groceries and have a bite to eat if you happen to be hungry. They have great selections of ready to eat food that are homemade. Also at very affordable prices, also there is wide variety of groceries for what ever you need to make dinner tonight. Beside the grocery shopping they also have clothes and electronics you can shop for. I just love it how they placed a superstore near my neighbourhood its just like a 5min walk from my home : ) read more

The Flyer dated Nov 4 - 10, had a box advertising a free Fusion razor , value $11.99, if you purchase a card of 8 Mach 3 razor cartridges. I picked up the two items, and the clerk advised me that the mach 3 blades do not fit in to the Fusion razor. Why on earth would they advertise buying mach 3 blades, get a free Fusion razor, when the blades do not fit the razor. This was most upsetting. Had I gone home, used the razor, then when those blades were done, I would be stuck with a useless card of 8 new and unusable Mach 3 blades. STUPID STUPID STUPID read more

This past Sunday I got a bad experience with this station. My debit card went trough on the screen , with pin and all choices , GOT GAS AND FILLED IT UP only to have the attendant running after me and shout : YOU DIDN'T PAY ; YOU DIDN'T PAY ! Well , I am using this station twice a month for years and now , all of the sudden, I need to steal gas ? I was neve treated like that ! The name of the attendant is Ganesh and I won't forget his insulting attitude. It looks like you have a glitch there between the printing side and the software for the screen. Came "Declined" on the receipt ( which I never check - no need to ) but I got the card going trough on the screen !!! The fact that I got gas at the pump but heaving the card declined on the receipt....well , that is your problem not mine. Spoke with the manager there but not too much of a assistance . I had to pay inside USING THE SAME CARD once again . How come that the card worked OK at the pump and inside the gas station but didn't went trough on the receipt !!?? I am waiting for your reply. Pretty good quality overall but very rude staff, especially the bakery manager Steve. He's very impulsive and reactionary in behaviour. If there's been a mistake with your cake order, he just assumes that your trying to pull a fast one on him. Very untrusting of others, brash and immature for a manager. Poor customer service skills in spite of being acting sweet and being a smooth-talker. I've also witnessed him blow up at his staff in front of customers. His managers should keep an eye on him before he starts chasing away customers. read more
