I'm very conflicted about this place. On one hand, it's an easy, no nonsense, straightforward gun range. Don't come here expecting any smiles, or pleasantries. These people don't have time for none of your damn politeness. The range is small, but serviceable, and the people seem to mind their own. The cost to shoot is reasonable, and I was in and out with zero fluff. Sign this, "what do you want," bobs your uncle, and boom. On the other hand, this place is MAGA central, and is teeming with good ol' boys, replete in their camouflage accoutrements. There's a sign on the door, MAKING YOU REMOVE YOUR MASK; "if you're scared of the virus, don't enter" it reads. The staff is aloof to the point of negligence, as they didn't seem to give a SINGLE SHIT about making my customer experience pleasant. As mentioned above, the range is small, and if you are a new shooter, you're better off going somewhere else, as you are completely unmonitored once you go through the doors. I see many reviews mention how expensive everything is, but I didn't find that to be my experience, but I did bring my own gun and ammo. I DID have to buy their target, as they told me the ones I brought were too small, but I was around $20 for a target and an hour of shooting. They also have a small inventory of guns for sale, and I didn't think the prices for those were anything egregious either. They had a Canik TP9, that was about the same price I paid for mine. (What I did find weird is that neither of the guys working seemed to really knew much about guns, as they were unable to answer my questions about magazines, and the one guy didn't even know what gun I was talking about when I asked to see it. Then again, they could've just not cared at all, which also would be on brand for this place) I'll probably continue to go here, but I always feel like I need to keep my wits about me here; more so than usual at a range. It just feels like at any moment, one of these dingbats will try some "cool trick" they saw on YouTube, or horseplay with a loaded weapon while they argue about who gets to headshot their Barack Obama target first. Really good indoor shooting range. Tidy and maintained well. Could hardly hear other people shooting--I'm not sure if it was that the headphones they gave me were good or that walls were insulated well. Reasonable pricing. You should join for the year, which I did, this way I am OK with going there to shoot for only 15 minutes. They are very friendly there and the bathroom always has soap to wash your hands when you are done which is important for gun powder or lead. Being able to have a line so you can choose how far you are shooting is very important. I am totally happy with this range. read more

Great place with a helpful staff. They have a good system of getting everybody and timely to shoot. Bernadette was in the range and helped me as a first time semi automatic handgun shooter. She was awesome, patient, and taught me a lot. If you need lessons they actually have people that can do lessons here and get you to an even higher level. Don't worry about the mask comments you can wear it if you want and if you don't that's fine too. I've been to a few ranges in Jersey and PA, but since I've come across Ready Aim Fire, I've had no urge to go any place else. I can honestly say for the central Jersy/ Philadelphia area, this place is as good as it gets! For starters, it's huge. They have a nice, spacious storefront, classrooms, and a lunch/ preperation area in the middle of everything. The range itself is clean and somewhat updated. They offer unlimited visit packages with rentals and they also offer discounts to military/ police. Their selection of rentals is pretty huge. They have about a dozen different pistols, some revolvers, rifles, and for us deprived Jersey residents, a fully automatic MP5!!!!!!! Another plus is that you can bring your own ammo. But if you need to buy ammo, they have Lawman Ammo. Everybody at Ready Aim Fire is very knowledgeable, nonjudgemental, unbiased, pretty laid back, and very friendly. I would also like to add that last year, I left a pair of electronic ear muffs on the counter during a busy Saturday. I never called because I didn't realize it until about 2 weeks later, so I assumed my ear muffs were gone. But when I went back 4 months later, they were still there!!! Set aside on the shelf, waiting for me. Everything about this place is great. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. read more

Looooove this place! If you want honest competent service. This is the place to go hands down. I ll give you a quick example. I wanted to get my handguard replaced on my AR15. Took it to a shop I will not mention. All he did was talk of how difficult it would be. I said no problem. Took it to this shop, not only did they not complain. But he took it to the back while I waited even though the store was busy. Of course he had help but the point is they could have easily said leave it and they would do it later. As for the no mask rule it's optional they won't put a gun to your head but while in the store,the rule is for the safety of the staff and the patrons that you take it off and identify yourself. If you have a problem with that, than find a different range, but for my first time here and as a first time shooter, I'd say Bernadette absolutely sold me on the idea of never going to another range beside Red , Aim , Fire. read more

After reading up on a bunch of ranges in the area, Ready Aim Fire looked perfect for me. No frills, just shooting. I was really looking forward to it, and was planning on going today, so called in to make sure I had all my ducks in a row first before driving there. I called around 12p on 1/23 and a man who was the most dismissive employee of any company I'd ever conversed with picked up and I asked about reservations. I was told they don't accept reservations. I thought, "That's strange", but fine. Maybe I'd drive all the way over there for nothing because they were all full up, but whatever. Then I asked about rentals, which they apparently don't do anymore. So that pretty much shut me down. It's odd to me that they stopped rental firearms due to COVID, but also instituted a "if you wear a mask, get out" policy. I think their intention is to avoid any new shooters as customers given their history with dangerous behavior on-site. (Read some of the other reviews detailing unchecked dangerous and check out the news related to this business! It will definitely make you concerned for you personal safety.) I was hoping to try out a few pistols before buying, but if this person is any representation of the business then I've been given a clue as to the kind of abusive treatment that I or my guests would receive should I make the illogical choice to patronize this establishment. Firstly, they're store policy requires no masking inside the whole store, this was true during the entire covid-19 pandemic for claims of the employees safety, okay. Even if you walk in with your mask down, politely state you are more comfortable wearing it, and are happy to show ID and sign-in if they will allow you to wear it; they will tell you to take your business elsewhere. Notwithstanding their clear disregard for public health during this pandemic, the customer service and attitudes of their staff is a disgrace. They threaten to shoot people who enter the store when masked, literally stating "two years ago if you walked in here with that on I'd shoot you on the spot no questions asked." Yeah, thanks, that makes you seem like a real reasonable people person and not at all some unhinged looney looking for an excuse to shoot people while you're on a power trip. Lastly, the facility is run-down, and their safety policies are terrible on the range. Ive personally had other shooters wave their loaded weapons away from the firing line every single time I went there on over 3 different occasions (shows how much I tried to give them a chance). All the while their range observers say nothing and make no attempts to ensure shooters are safe. The ONLY, and I do mean ONLY, good things here are it's cheap (15$/hr per lane) and they will let you use steel case ammunition. Make your decision for yourself but personally I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I was unsure of what I wanted to James and the team helped me find what gun was right for me then let me shoot it at the on site INDOOR RANGE. I bought the gun, James gave me a tutorial inside and out on the entire gun, showed me how to disassemble it for thorough cleaning and maintenance. Absolutely horrible. Very unfriendly and rude. They make things up. I am a new shooter. Took NRA basic pistol course where I bought my pistol, and then came here to try to go to the range to practice. While checking in, I asked if they offer training with my interest to take more than beginner training at a later time. The guy looks at me and asks if I have experience shooting, I said I have little experience and that I took the basic training course and just need to spend more time at the range and do plan on taking more training later. He then said they don't allow inexperienced shooters and would not let me into the range! I have not even finished filling the waiver yet at that point. He said he had police officers in the back and he would not let someone without experience with them at the same time. I looked at him and was baffled as to where would I get the experience if I'm not allowed to get it at a shooting range! I asked sarcastically about how many range hours I need to log in before he allows me at his range and I offered him, if he was worried, to test me to see that I know how to safely handle the pistol but he said he doesn't have time. I guess he didn't like the way I looked or my skin tone. Whether he really didn't like my skin tone or it is really true that he only lets "experienced shooters" however he defines it that day or he was just cranky today, whatever it was, that was my experience and will never go back nor do I recommend this place. read more

I have a military/ silver membership. They discount for military/police. I believe it was 150 for the year. This allows me to use a lane anytime they are open, of course if lanes are free, you still have to wait membership or not if it's busy. Weekends are usually busiest, or rainy/overcast days. I can bring 1 guest every time as well, free of charge. For civilians looking to purchase a membership. Your membership prices will be higher. Gold membership allows you everything stated above, plus the ability to rent their guns free of charge. If you want to just go and shoot, you can do so as well, you don't need a membership to shoot/rent here. I have a small arsenal of my own firearms that I can always better myself with, close friends and family with their own small arsenals that they'd let me shoot anytime if I wanted, so the silver membership suited me best. Their ammo prices are very, very high, bring your own! if you rent a gun, you MUST purchase and use THEIR ammo, range rules, even with a gold membership. Staff is very friendly, and professional. I had a problem with a hand grip screw with one of my higher end hand guns, i let them correct the problem and it was fixed the same day. I just purchased another hand gun while in Kentucky, the dealer in KY is shipping my new purchase back home to Ready Aim Fire. It will be there by the time I get home. So, they can do state to state transfers. Not sure what they charge for the transfer yet, my guess is 30-50 dollars, but I'll be sure to update this review when I get back and pick it up! EDIT: 4/5/2015 Have been a member for a year now and just renewed for another year, all the people that work there know me by name, I'm there 1-2 times a week at least. Staff hasnt changed much if any, all great guys over there. They won't let you shoot .223/5.56 or larger rifle rounds. Shotguns are allowed. read more

Prices seemed reasonable and in spite of not renting by the hour we didn't feel rushed out. You can rent guns or bring your own. You can buy ammo or bring your own. The only stipulation is if you rent a gun you need to buy their ammo. They have a few targets you can purchase (buck each) in case you feel like shooting at Nazi zombies or the old man with a gun. I've been a member at this place forever. It's close and it's a good range. There are always going to be a few knuckleheads, but you just report them to the staff and they ask them to leave. They have a quirky rule about shooting at bullseye targets. They are concerned about you hitting the mechanism which holds the target and damaging it. I guess it's legitimate so, you just shoot at a silhouette target or a bad guy target. Not a big deal. The folks who worry there are very friendly and always have time to answer questions. The range itself is clean, despite the pictures of trash cans with used targets in them. That was taken on a Saturday when the range is super busy. The also have an instruction course for newbies. It's a great facility. If you like target shooting, this is the place to do it! read more

Went a few days ago looking for some pistol magazines and ammo and came away not wanting to go back. First off, they require you to NOT WEAR A MASK. That tells me they don't truly care about their customers safety and are unwilling to adapt to the community around them. Second, the prices were through the roof. Everything was at least $10 more expensive than another local shop. Third, the staff give off the feeling that unless you know what you want while you're there, you seem like a burden to them. I went there one day about 6 months ago to by a new rifle thinking that I would be treated well, but I was treated very disrespectful by the salesperson. They don't answer questions with respect to the patron and I felt like I was more of a bother than anything. "Freeze Dirtbag!" That's what you'll be saying right before you cap off a few rounds in the paper perpetrator. This place was great! I was incredibly nervous walking into the range...and the shopkeep's 20 second instructions didn't help ease them. But it was all part of the experience. We chose a small 9mm pistol and standard target...Although I was really tempted to get a cool target: choices included a pepophile holding an uzi and a senior citizen resembling my grandpop...if grandpop were wielding a shotgun and ready to pump me full of lead! Once my trembling fingers loaded the clip I started firing away. It was such a rush of adrenaline and I had that buzz all day! I would definitely recommend doing this, especially on a date. TL;DR: 1. Bring your own ammo, theirs is expensive. There's two Walmarts less than 5 miles away. 2. Don't expect babysitters on the lanes. 3. Don't expect to make friends with the staff. 4. Avoid going on weekends. 5. Have fun shooting. 6. Stay safe. I've been a member here for about a year. It's a decent range to visit when it's not busy--basically any weekday afternoon/evening. On the weekends, I avoid this place. They don't generally have RSOs on the range, so on the weekends there are a lot of new shooters and sometimes those shooters need some help operating the firearms safely. There have been a handful of instances where I have seen some people do some very unnerving things that would get you removed from other ranges. Perhaps they should really start asking the non-regular people if they need help operating firearm rentals and giving them some instruction when there are malfunctions. Speaking of rentals, I know they are rental guns, but they look pretty beat up and dirty. I don't know how often they clean them (or don't clean them), but there looks to be significant carbon build up on most of them. For the record, I've rented a couple of those dirty firearms and did not have any malfunctions or issues. They cycled and worked just fine. If you are competent with your firearm this a good place to go practice as you won't have RSOs hawking over your every single move. Just make sure you bring enough of your own ammo--theirs is pretty expensive. There are two Walmarts within a few miles, so you could stop there before you hit the range. They do allow rapid fire shooting and drawing from a holster. I know this is something that isn't permitted at every pistol range. I get the reviewers that have had bad experiences. Some of the guys are friendly, some of them aren't. It's just the way it is. The staff isn't going out of their way to be friends with every single person that walks through the door. It's the old "gun range/gun shop" condescending mentality, I guess. After you get to know the staff, they're just like everyone else. read more

This is my to go to range as I frequent quite often. At first, was taken aback as they didn't have someone in the range area with you especially for beginners to assist you during the process. During my first visit, was very nervous, especially loading the magazine but Al (range employee) stayed with me until I got the hang of it. I always have a very positive rapport with the employees as well as those in the next lane next to me and hope that continues. Only negative is the shooting noise in the confined tight space and if you have sensitive ears it'll def irk you. But eventually, you'll get used to it.. So, was provided the S&W .380 Shield EZ to rent but to be honest this gun wasn't a fit. Too bulky and the external safety kept ruining my experience. Not until another customer allowed me to use their wife Glock 43 and I fell in love. Purchased my very own Glock 43 9mm and take this with me to the range. A true stress reliever and plus it's fun.. read more

Me and a few friends decided to polish off our trigger fingers and head over to this place because it was close to everyone. Finding this place wasn't much of a surprise ( back road and pull into a commercial/warehouse converted to offices lot). The guys working there were to the point and fairly quick to get everyone up and running. 10 bux for the rental (you can swap guns without incurring the rental fee again). I think it was $20 per person for the lane, and then you pay for ammunition (which if you're renting you must use their ammo.). For the 9mm i think it ran us 25 bux a box. The lanes itself were fairly standard. My only complaint was that the target moving mechanism would rock for a long time after motion stops, so it sometimes got a bit annoying. To be fair it might have just been our lane as the other's didn't seem to move as much. (We had lane 2). If we waited for the target to stop swinging it would take forever so we just took it as an added challenge to target practice. Overall, it is a bit of an expensive thing to do as a regular hobby, but on the occasion when the urge hits, I will probably come here to get my time in. One should also note, right before the range portion, there is a public area with picnic type tables for non shooters to sit and lounge/eat etc... read more

It's a decent range, luckily I have a friend who is a member so it's free to go. First off the staff is some of the most unfriendly guys in the world. Very bland personality. There not cocky at all but they just don't talk. I went there one night to look at guns and being the only one in the store it was about 10 minutes until they even asked if I needed help. They just hung back and talked to each other. Second, safety is not their priority. I've been seen many of guys pointing guns around and towards people including myself both in the store and on the range. As mentioned in another review, they need to hire a RSO. Find a friend to be a member and go with them, keep your eyes on a swivel for the idiots they allow in there, and don't expect to make friends and your all good. read more

The staff at the shop was extremely rude/borderline hostile to individuals who are coming in to rent a firearm. First off, their website doesn't have accurate information as to what pistols you're able to rent. Secondly, they will give you the most expensive ammunition they have at the shop to use and if you question ANYTHING you'll be spoken to as if you were the worlds dumbest person. Overall we felt extremely unwelcome from the moment we walked in the door. Highly suggest you avoid a range that treats people with such contempt for trying to give them their business, and one that somehow let TWO people commit suicide in their shop, one of whom snuck the rental gun into the bathroom. I've been twice. This is a quiet, lax and safe place to shoot and enjoy time with family or significant others! My mom and I easily let off at least 500 rounds in one pass. Not only that but I'm enlisted in the military and this is an excellent place to get some good practice in. Definitely one of my favorite ranges! read more

After going here for about 2 times a month for a year, here is my opinion. Most of the people who shoot regularly know range rules do's and Dont's. Before I begin to shoot I sit back and watch who is shooting to my left and right. If they have a white basket I assume they don't shoot on a regular, that being said I've seen lots of violations that would clearly get you tossed any other range. I think the staffs approach is you've filled out a waiver so you be ok,(or they are covered from liability) but what about my safety from these noobs. I was sitting on the chair reloading my mags, observing. Noob was shooting a glock rental. A casing bounced of the wall and fell into his shirt, he whipped back with the glock in his right hand and finger on the trigger. I hollered WTF! And grab his hand and directed it down range. For this I won't be coming back. If the staff can't value my safety, I'll find some place else that will. Range fees are cheap, but ultimately not worth it. read more

Ready Aim Fire is one of my favorite ranges. It's kept clean, the staff is always friendly (and usually recognize you after a few visits!) and the prices are good. They have a nice selection of guns to choose from for rental, too, if you don't own your own or just feel like trying out something different. There's usually not a huge wait unless you're there during peak times. My only complaint of the couple dozen times I've been here is when I took a course to get my conceal carry license. I had signed up for it months in advance, but then after the Sandy shooting, everyone panicked and wanted to get the licenses, too. There wasn't a reservation requirement or a limit on how many people could show up, so the place was absolutely flooded. It took almost all day for something that should've been relatively quick and was completely disorganized. HOWEVER, it's not Ready Aim Fire who was running the course. They were simply allowing a trainer to use the facility, and RAF was equally as annoyed and concerned about the setup....especially considering it would've become a safety hazard for a fire, etc. I wish RAF would've stepped in more to insist on more regulation happening, even though it wasn't their class, but I can't really fault them for someone else's messup (or the sheer panic of everyone wanting to get licensed before the possibility of stricter requirements). That one bad experience isn't enough to keep me from coming back and is unlikely to ever happen again either. And besides, even with all the frustration, firing off a few rounds afterwards helps ease the annoyance. read more

I stopped here today to get some range time in. This was my first time here. I have a yearly membership at another establishment so it was a nice change. Overall the place is okay, it's not very clean and looks a bit rundown. The prices for lane rental is a bit high as well. The staff was okay i guess, typical range staff. I would go back but wouldn't go out of my way. I prefer my place where you can only shoot if you're a member. Not really comfortable shooting with amateurs. 2-3 stars read more

Dec.16, 2014 I have been going to RAF for a few years now. I enjoy the indoor range and can normally get a lane without waiting, especially during the week. All the employees are very knowledgeable and will help you with any questions you may have. If you have any questions about a pistol or rifle you are shooting , they will be more then glad to assist you. All the shooters that I have met there are really friendly and considerate people. I continue to go there and also bring my friends. I sign up for the yearly senior silver plan. I can go all I want and can also bring a friend who can share my lane at no charge.
