We were targeting Whitefish Bay or Wauwatosa for our next home. We reached out to Jay, and he immediately set us searching for homes that met our criteria. They were responsive via email, text and phone calls at all hours. They're a highly experienced team, and you NEED that support in this hot market. Everything we needed was written and submitted immediately. There were never any delays. Within a few weeks we found and purchased our dream home. We could not be happier. We will only use Jay Schmidt and team for any future real estate needs.

Norm Terapak is an awesome realtor that I would highly recommend to anyone…read more I was recommended to him by a friend's family that have used him on various multi-units they have throughout Riverwest. Norm helped me for several months look for duplexes that fit the bill in Riverwest, Eastside, and Bayview. We first chatted for a while to get an idea of what I was looking for and the budget - he is very easy to talk to. After we got that, he set me up with an MLS automatic listing so I would be emailed the detailed info (way more detailed than Zillow or Trulia) about various places that include pictures, taxes, etc. I would email or call him on what places I would like to see and right away he would have a schedule of places we would see in a day or two. Norm always picks up the phone no matter what day it is or the time and is always willing to talk to you about whatever it may be. He used to be (may still be) an Inspector so when it came to walking through duplexes he knew what areas were big concerns and what were small issues. He could even roughly estimate how much or at least point you in the direction of an expert to get an estimate. Norm also performs Energy Audits so he will know how energy efficient various appliances and the house are. He is very patient as it took around 5 months of seeing places with my girlfriend and brother to finally find the right place. When the time came to make the offer, he drafted up the paperwork right away. He is very detailed on all of his paperwork and it made closing way easier. We went through with some offers and got an accepted offer. He was able to provide several inspectors to get when it came to that point after the accepted offer. Overall, Norm is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to single and multi-family units throughout Milwaukee, knows how to spot issues in places, and is very friendly and responsive on both the calls and emails. I would highly recommend him when it is time for you to look for a place.

There were plenty of properties that we looked at, that while they maybe had a great exterior or locations, he pointed out foundation problems or issues with energy efficiency etc. That sort of advice is more than helpful when buying a property. I would HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking to buy a rental property. He owned close to 50 properties in the area, especially in the brady-street area. He knows his stuff and can give great advice if you are new to managing properties. All in all, he's a really great guy. He really represents what Milwaukee is all about. He supports local neighborhoods and works with you to find the best property to suit all of your needs.

I came to Corcoran Realty at the recommendation of a friend after a bad experience with my first…read morerealtor. That realtor made me feel a lot of pressure to overbid and submit offers without inspection contingencies, telling me, "You can wait, but the market will only get more expensive, and you can't save as fast as prices are rising." After doing some research and reading the literature on Corcoran Realty's website, it was clear this was something they anticipated many realtors would do and that they felt an ethical obligation to ensure their clients didn't enter into offers that weren't in their best interests. The consultation I had with Katie and her partner, Cali, couldn't have convinced me more that this was exactly how they operated. They were honest, practical, and their advice made a lot of sense. It was my great pleasure, then, that the first place I looked at after retaining them was the one I ultimately received an accepted offer on. I worked mostly with Cali, who couldn't have been more knowledgeable or professional throughout the entire process. After such a stressful month with my first realty team, this may sound too good to be true, but I honestly felt like the stress of it all washed away once Corcoran became my full-time realty team. Dare I say it, the process became almost fun. Instead of stressing about getting a bad deal, I found myself focusing on how I was going to transition my life into becoming a homeowner. I was extremely happy with the deal and even negotiated some seller's credits, which came because I was able to inspect the property. I can't say every experience will go as smoothly as mine did - it's a tough market - but their approach was incredibly reassuring for a first-time homebuyer. I would recommend Corcoran Realty to anyone looking for a home, whether it's their first or their fifth. I plan to recommend them to friends and family, and I hope to work with them again should I find myself in the market in the future.

We knew what we wanted in a house and a neighborhood in general but had not the slightest clue where to even begin. To top all that off, our move had to happen pretty quickly AND during a time when houses were selling the same week they were listed. Katie took the time to ask us lots of questions to get to know us, and she showed us several different neighborhoods and different types of architecture - we quickly realized that she was a Milwaukee expert. We eventually saw a house pop up and she went over there the very same day to go see it. She skyped us in and did a virtual walk-through of the house since we were still in another state - we really appreciated her flexibility in doing this. She did some research on the pricing of the house/neighborhood and we made and offer and got the house. I was super nervous when I saw it in person for the first time but it was everything we wanted. In short, Katie took the time to get to know us and our personal styles. She was patient as we saw different neighborhoods and styles of house and at the end of the day she really kept in mind what was important to us. Our situation was certainly not typical and I don't believe that all agents would've wanted the pressure of having a client in another state but Katie does not back down from challenges like that. I have full confidence in recommending her to anyone looking for a home in Milwaukee!

This was my first experience selling a home and it proved to be very disappointing. Suzanne and…read moreher associate, Gretchen, walked through and the red flags were immediate. As we were walking through Suzanne asked, "is it yours to sell?" I thought how odd a question. I couldnt help but wonder does she ask all her clients that question? She also stated she would take a 5.5 % sellers commission instead of the customary 6%. I didn't think much of it until a few weeks after signing the listing agreement that she indeed was charging 6% and not the 5.5% she had promised. During the initial meeting she said she wouldn't be putting her agency sign outside because more and more homeowners were making that choice for privacy. I thought it sounded a little odd but this being my first time selling a home I didn't question it. None the less the second it sold there was a sign planted in the front yard. I had just purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer a few months prior and I had them listed as an exclusion in the sale, however I was forced to leave them when I moved. Unfortunately the refrigerator had a maintenance issue while the condo was listed and I could have spent $200 and had it repaired and all would have been good but again was forced to give the buyer a $2500 credit. Gretchen is nothing more than a bully and a thug and will say or do anything without any consideration for honesty to get what she wants. She accepted a low ball offer without consulting me and set up 2 closings, a closing for me alone and another for the buyers so we wouldn't meet, how insulting. While taking care of some final touchups before an open house one of Suzannes employees was lending a hand and started talking about Trump's stolen election and she couldn't understand why we couldn't agree with her. Amanda's process was great. After making initial contact with her, she set up a friendly, casusal meeting to discuss what we were looking for, what areas we were interested in, and everuthing in between. She really took that time to get to know us as people. You could tell right away that she is a great professional. We came to that meeting with some previously selected options from Zillow and she was able to tell us immediately about the areas that those houses were in by just reading the address. At the end of the meeting she broke down the process with us further. Giving us a timeline and steps that we could expect. She gave us a list of names to reach out for getting a Pre-approval. She had a contact for us that worked for our Credit Union. This ended up being a big help because we were already established with that Credit Union and making the appointment was simple. After we obtained our pre-approval, Amanada immediately began setting up showings for us. On our second night out with her she offered to drive us around and see about 5 places she found. She spent almost 5 hours with us that night. During which, she talked to us further about what to expect if we found a place we liked and wanted to put in an offer. While we were at the houses, she was able to point out unique features, potential issues, easy fixes, etc... Her knowledge was incredible. Her interaction with seller agents was professional. You could tell they respected her. We've never felt more comfortable in this type of situation. When we found the house we eventually bought it was a last second find on Zillow. It was recently listed and there was an open house on a day we did not have planned to do any showings with Amanda. We texted her and told her we were going to the open house. After the open house we told her we loved it and she set up a second showing later that day so she could walk through the place with us. We ended up tendering an offer that night. While the offer was pending, Amanda continued constant contact with us. The seller wanted to wait another day, so it was stressful. We were very anxious. She helped negotiate us to the point where our offer was the one that was accepted. It was an amazing moment. She was very excited for us. YOU COULD TELL SHE CARED. Amanda's hard work did not stop there. She was present at inspection and helped us get in contact with a great inspector. She helped us negotiate some fixes that were revealed after the inspection. She stood strong with what we wanted and advocated greatly on our behalf. We wanted to hire a lawyer to review closing documents and title, she was able to connect us with a great lawyer for that as well. At closing, she had a little congratulations package for us and was all smiles. After closing, she kept working with us to find painters, carpet installers, and facilitate other convos between us and the seller. Again, homebuyers deserve to have someone like Amanda be on their side. It was an amazing experience. Thank you again!
