After making initial contact with her, she set up a friendly, casusal meeting to discuss what we were looking for, what areas we were interested in, and everuthing in between. We came to that meeting with some previously selected options from Zillow and she was able to tell us immediately about the areas that those houses were in by just reading the address. At the end of the meeting she broke down the process with us further. Giving us a timeline and steps that we could expect. She gave us a list of names to reach out for getting a Pre-approval. She had a contact for us that worked for our Credit Union. This ended up being a big help because we were already established with that Credit Union and making the appointment was simple. She spent almost 5 hours with us that night. During which, she talked to us further about what to expect if we found a place we liked and wanted to put in an offer. While we were at the houses, she was able to point out unique features, potential issues, easy fixes, etc... Her knowledge was incredible. Her interaction with seller agents was professional. You could tell they respected her. We've never felt more comfortable in this type of situation. When we found the house we eventually bought it was a last second find on Zillow. It was recently listed and there was an open house on a day we did not have planned to do any showings with Amanda. We texted her and told her we were going to the open house. After the open house we told her we loved it and she set up a second showing later that day so she could walk through the place with us. We ended up tendering an offer that night. While the offer was pending, Amanda continued constant contact with us. The seller wanted to wait another day, so it was stressful. We were very anxious. She helped negotiate us to the point where our offer was the one that was accepted. It was an amazing moment. She was very excited for us. YOU COULD TELL SHE CARED. Amanda's hard work did not stop there. She was present at inspection and helped us get in contact with a great inspector. She helped us negotiate some fixes that were revealed after the inspection. She stood strong with what we wanted and advocated greatly on our behalf. We wanted to hire a lawyer to review closing documents and title, she was able to connect us with a great lawyer for that as well. At closing, she had a little congratulations package for us and was all smiles. After closing, she kept working with us to find painters, carpet installers, and facilitate other convos between us and the seller. It would have been easy to settle for a house way short of expectations and way over listing price with desperation running high for buyers. As we were walking through Suzanne asked, "is it yours to sell?" I thought how odd a question. I couldnt help but wonder does she ask all her clients that question? She also stated she would take a 5.5 % sellers commission instead of the customary 6%. I didn't think much of it until a few weeks after signing the listing agreement that she indeed was charging 6% and not the 5.5% she had promised. During the initial meeting she said she wouldn't be putting her agency sign outside because more and more homeowners were making that choice for privacy. I thought it sounded a little odd but this being my first time selling a home I didn't question it. None the less the second it sold there was a sign planted in the front yard. I had just purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer a few months prior and I had them listed as an exclusion in the sale, however I was forced to leave them when I moved. Unfortunately the refrigerator had a maintenance issue while the condo was listed and I could have spent $200 and had it repaired and all would have been good but again was forced to give the buyer a $2500 credit. Gretchen is nothing more than a bully and a thug and will say or do anything without any consideration for honesty to get what she wants. She accepted a low ball offer without consulting me and set up 2 closings, a closing for me alone and another for the buyers so we wouldn't meet, how insulting. While taking care of some final touchups before an open house one of Suzannes employees was lending a hand and started talking about Trump's stolen election and she couldn't understand why we couldn't agree with her. My friend found it so disturbing and unprofessional he left. If you see Powers Realty Group coming, turn around and run.
