I came to Corcoran Realty at the recommendation of a friend after a bad experience with my first…read morerealtor. That realtor made me feel a lot of pressure to overbid and submit offers without inspection contingencies, telling me, "You can wait, but the market will only get more expensive, and you can't save as fast as prices are rising." After doing some research and reading the literature on Corcoran Realty's website, it was clear this was something they anticipated many realtors would do and that they felt an ethical obligation to ensure their clients didn't enter into offers that weren't in their best interests. The consultation I had with Katie and her partner, Cali, couldn't have convinced me more that this was exactly how they operated. They were honest, practical, and their advice made a lot of sense. It was my great pleasure, then, that the first place I looked at after retaining them was the one I ultimately received an accepted offer on. I worked mostly with Cali, who couldn't have been more knowledgeable or professional throughout the entire process. After such a stressful month with my first realty team, this may sound too good to be true, but I honestly felt like the stress of it all washed away once Corcoran became my full-time realty team. Dare I say it, the process became almost fun. Instead of stressing about getting a bad deal, I found myself focusing on how I was going to transition my life into becoming a homeowner. I was extremely happy with the deal and even negotiated some seller's credits, which came because I was able to inspect the property. I can't say every experience will go as smoothly as mine did - it's a tough market - but their approach was incredibly reassuring for a first-time homebuyer. I would recommend Corcoran Realty to anyone looking for a home, whether it's their first or their fifth. I plan to recommend them to friends and family, and I hope to work with them again should I find myself in the market in the future.

Katie is a fantastic agent! We had a bit of a difficult situation: we were moving to a totally new…read morestate where we had no lay of the land at all. We knew what we wanted in a house and a neighborhood in general but had not the slightest clue where to even begin. To top all that off, our move had to happen pretty quickly AND during a time when houses were selling the same week they were listed. Katie took the time to ask us lots of questions to get to know us, and she showed us several different neighborhoods and different types of architecture - we quickly realized that she was a Milwaukee expert. We eventually saw a house pop up and she went over there the very same day to go see it. She skyped us in and did a virtual walk-through of the house since we were still in another state - we really appreciated her flexibility in doing this. She did some research on the pricing of the house/neighborhood and we made and offer and got the house. I was super nervous when I saw it in person for the first time but it was everything we wanted. In short, Katie took the time to get to know us and our personal styles. She was patient as we saw different neighborhoods and styles of house and at the end of the day she really kept in mind what was important to us. Our situation was certainly not typical and I don't believe that all agents would've wanted the pressure of having a client in another state but Katie does not back down from challenges like that. I have full confidence in recommending her to anyone looking for a home in Milwaukee!

We were targeting Whitefish Bay or Wauwatosa for our next home. We reached out to Jay, and he immediately set us searching for homes that met our criteria. They were responsive via email, text and phone calls at all hours. The market is really hot, and they were able to get us into newly posted homes quickly, and we were able to compete on every home we were interested in. They're a highly experienced team, and you NEED that support in this hot market. Everything we needed was written and submitted immediately. There were never any delays. Within a few weeks we found and purchased our dream home. We could not be happier. We will only use Jay Schmidt and team for any future real estate needs.

We hired Stalle to sell our house...we had already moved out of town but they assured us they would treat our home "as if it were our own." Consequently, they damaged new floors, lied about their staging experience (they had none), put our expensive furniture in a storage warehouse without informing us, ruined fine artwork, simply lost our drapes (who does that?) & were unprofessionial & dismissive. What a train wreck! We ended our contract, but not soon enough. Obviously, should have shared this experience before you encountered them. Sorry friend.

This was my first experience selling a home and it proved to be very disappointing. Suzanne and…read moreher associate, Gretchen, walked through and the red flags were immediate. As we were walking through Suzanne asked, "is it yours to sell?" I thought how odd a question. I couldnt help but wonder does she ask all her clients that question? She also stated she would take a 5.5 % sellers commission instead of the customary 6%. I didn't think much of it until a few weeks after signing the listing agreement that she indeed was charging 6% and not the 5.5% she had promised. During the initial meeting she said she wouldn't be putting her agency sign outside because more and more homeowners were making that choice for privacy. I thought it sounded a little odd but this being my first time selling a home I didn't question it. None the less the second it sold there was a sign planted in the front yard. I had just purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer a few months prior and I had them listed as an exclusion in the sale, however I was forced to leave them when I moved. Unfortunately the refrigerator had a maintenance issue while the condo was listed and I could have spent $200 and had it repaired and all would have been good but again was forced to give the buyer a $2500 credit. Gretchen is nothing more than a bully and a thug and will say or do anything without any consideration for honesty to get what she wants. She accepted a low ball offer without consulting me and set up 2 closings, a closing for me alone and another for the buyers so we wouldn't meet, how insulting. While taking care of some final touchups before an open house one of Suzannes employees was lending a hand and started talking about Trump's stolen election and she couldn't understand why we couldn't agree with her. My friend found it so disturbing and unprofessional he left. If you see Powers Realty Group coming, turn around and run.
