    In March I called Farmers Exchange in Kennewick to set up a service appointment for warranty work…read morefor my lawn mower. I was told I needed to pay a refundable amount before I could set up the appointment. The amount was supposed to be refunded after the warranty work was completed. A week passed, and I was informed that it was ready. When I went to pick it up, the person at the counter asked that I pay an additional $150. I explained that this was a warranty issue, which he then said it was never submitted for warranty. He returned my lawn mower without an additional charge and stated that once it's submitted to warranty, my deposit would be refunded. A few days later, I received a call from a Farmers employee asking if I was going to pick up my lawn mower. I explained that I had already picked it up and was just waiting for my deposit to be refunded. They assured me it would be refunded in a few days due to banking delays. A month after the service, I still hadn't received my refund, nor had Farmers called me back. So, I called to inquire about my refund. Again, the person on the phone said it had not been submitted for warranty and asked for proof of purchase, since I did not buy it from them. I sent the proof within minutes. A couple of hours later, a person named Ramiro Torres called me and explained that I was not going to be refunded my deposit and that the issue wouldn't have been covered by warranty. The conversation got heated, and I did raise my voice out of frustration, especially since Ramiro kept talking over me. As I was explaining what happened, Ramiro suddenly hung up. I called back and spoke to the GM (Gene), who reiterated the same, but also added that because it was a tracking issue, it would never have been covered by warranty. I told him that if that had been relayed to me from the start, I would not have taken it to Farmers for service. Expressing frustration, I emphasized the importance of clear communication upfront to avoid such misunderstanding, which is when Gene said I was raising my voice and that I needed to lower my tone or he would also hang up. I was not raising my voice but either way I lowered my voice to almost a whisper so I can explain to him what I believed happened. At this point Gene said not to tell him what I think happened and that he was going to hang up, which he did. It's worth noting that they said the main reason for the issues was due to the employee who returned my lawn mower. They said he has since been fired...not sure why they told me that since that is not an excuse for their mistakes. Farmers Exchange dropped the ball, and when called out on their mistake, they decide they rather not hear the customer's point of view. I do not recommend them for service or purchases.

I got the mower back and it runs like sh*t. Called them for service and talked to Gene as he was the manager at the time. He didn't want to talk to me and sent me over to service. After 5 tries and 4 people later I was told to leave a messages for them and they would call me back. This is the second problem I have had with the new owners. This time I will learn my lesson.
