Two sections of the fence had to be built around large pine trees, and I wasn't sure how that would turn out. I told Luis to use his best judgment and be creative -- and he absolutely delivered. Both areas look seamless and beautifully integrated into the fence line. We chose the "post‑on‑pipe" system, which comes with a 10‑year guarantee, and the installation is solid and precise. We also had the boards pre‑stained, which ended up costing much less than expected and gave the whole project a clean, finished look. We highly recommend Cano's Fencing to anyone looking for a great‑looking, well‑built fence at a reasonable price.

So, we rolled up our sleeves and started the same 'dialing, dialing' process that you may be going through now. Five contractors responded to our Call for Bids: One contractor was simply unqualified; One was not interested after the site visit; One contractor bid x2 twice our ultimate cost; One contractor came in $900 over what ALPINE FENCING bid for the job. What we really appreciated about Alpine Fencing (besides their competitive pricing) was their family-friendly office staff, their authentic interest in the long-range objectives we have for maintaining street appeal for our expansive corner property. BTW -- We worked with David O. who is a champion at coming up with solutions on how to approach the installation of one stretch of deck railing that sits on top of a steep rockery. He's professional. David knows the business, from customer interface to construction know-how. Unbeknownst to Alpine Fencing is that this is a 'pipeline' job -- who we will contact for our fencing and railing needs going forward are settled. So 'Thank You' to David O. for the competitive bid! Unfortunately, during a recent home remodel, our general contractor destroyed half of the original fence and incorrectly replaced the gates and fencing using improper installation methods and the wrong nails. After months of frustration with poorly functioning gates, we turned back to Cool Cat for help. Cool Cat saved the day! They assessed the damage, repaired what could be fixed, and rebuilt the sections that needed replacement. We finally have properly aligned, fully functioning gates again! A huge thank-you to Jordan and Jose from our original 2024 project, and David, Matt, and Maksym for helping us with the recent repairs. Everyone we've worked with has been professional, knowledgeable, and committed to quality workmanship. We always recommend Cool Cat to our friends and neighbors, and we're proud to keep their company signage displayed on our fence. Their work deserves the recognition! It's given my young child more space to play, along with privacy and sound benefits. I approached multiple companies about building a fence, with primary goals of more and safer space for my kid to play, but with additional hopes to mitigate some sound from the road. Jacob was the only one that listened to my goals and worked with me to create a plan on how to create a fence that had some sound-deadening properties to it. He just completed the job and it's the best-looking fence I've seen. It's structurally very sound, and the workmanship is second-to-none. He takes pride in his work and it comes through. He was very communicative throughout, and even went above and beyond by fixing a small existing leak in my sprinkler system nearby one of the posts he was putting in.

We also had specific quality requirements, such as using a post-on-pipe installation to avoid wood rot. After reaching out to Sky Fence and 5 other well-known Seattle companies, only Sky Fence said they could meet our custom design and quality needs. The other companies offered a range of prices for lower-quality fences, while Sky Fence provided a single quote with the highest standards at a competitive price. Using a few sketches we provided, Sky Fence built a beautiful fence that matched our requirements perfectly. Jacob and his team did an amazing job, even installing the fence on top of a concrete wall. Communication throughout the process was smooth, and I couldn't be happier with the work they delivered. Finding skilled people in Seattle is hard, but occasionally you find some amazing people. My only complaint is about the contract. It was hard to read, lacked detail, included stock photos that didn't match our design, and had no itemization--just a final price. It felt like signing a promise to build what we asked for, thereby taking a leap of faith, which made me a bit uneasy. Still, Sky Fence absolutely delivered, and I would hire them again without hesitation. A few before and after photos attached. The reddish stain (Ready seal mahogany) in the photos we applied ourselves. The stain and wood will darken over time.
