We had our garden fence rebuilt by Sky Fence, owned by Jacob Walsh. We had some custom design ideas we wanted to incorporate: for the main section, we wanted a paneled lattice with a trellis on top, and for the lower section, a 2x2 galvanized wire panel to let light through while keeping rabbits out. We also had specific quality requirements, such as using a post-on-pipe installation to avoid wood rot. After reaching out to Sky Fence and 5 other well-known Seattle companies, only Sky Fence said they could meet our custom design and quality needs. The other companies offered a range of prices for lower-quality fences, while Sky Fence provided a single quote with the highest standards at a competitive price. Using a few sketches we provided, Sky Fence built a beautiful fence that matched our requirements perfectly. Jacob and his team did an amazing job, even installing the fence on top of a concrete wall. Communication throughout the process was smooth, and I couldn't be happier with the work they delivered. Finding skilled people in Seattle is hard, but occasionally you find some amazing people. My only complaint is about the contract. It was hard to read, lacked detail, included stock photos that didn't match our design, and had no itemization--just a final price. It felt like signing a promise to build what we asked for, thereby taking a leap of faith, which made me a bit uneasy. Prompt quote but expensive relative to others. Unable to build the type of fence we wanted. Didn't residential when asked. Not their fault really but woukd have been good to just tell me they could not do the job as requested. One of the very best contractors I've ever worked with. Jacob and his team were fantastic partners in building a complex fence along a busy road in Seattle. It's given my young child more space to play, along with privacy and sound benefits. I approached multiple companies about building a fence, with primary goals of more and safer space for my kid to play, but with additional hopes to mitigate some sound from the road. Jacob was the only one that listened to my goals and worked with me to create a plan on how to create a fence that had some sound-deadening properties to it. He just completed the job and it's the best-looking fence I've seen. It's structurally very sound, and the workmanship is second-to-none. He takes pride in his work and it comes through. Sky Fence did an awesome job on our project. We bought our house about 6 months ago. The back section of our fence was old and had rotting posts and finally blew over in a recent wind storm. We had Jacob come out and provide us with options and an estimate and are glad we did. We had multiple companies provide estimates and his prices were very competitive. He instilled a lot of confidence on his initial visit out here and even talked to us about what we should be looking for in fence companies even if we decided to go with someone else. Jacob and his crew made a beautiful section of fence for us and were wonderful to work with. We ended up doing a paneled in style w/ clear cedar and post on pipe. Jacob was always patient with our questions and explained everything clearly. He kept us in the loop with decisions and scheduling. Communication was excellent. We first met up to discuss our design ideas and what we were wanting to do. I had some concerns about where they could put posts because they were working in very confined spaces in our garden. We had a vision of what we wanted and the owner made sure to communicate everytime we reached a new design phase or challenge. We were absolutely blown away by the build quality, communication, custom gates and panels and the value. This company was very reasonably priced in our opinion. I had a bad experience with a start on a fence from a local company and was really anxious as I have an odd situation and wanted a sturdy, attractive fence that will last. I put a lot of money and time into special lumber and painting applying special stain to every piece. They walked off the job, leaving a mess behind, but it was the best thing that could have happened to me. Then a neighbor recommended Jacob. Jacob is an experienced fence contractor who went out on his own and is building fences as well as custom work. He is reasonably priced, intelligent and reliable. He is very willing to work with me on the special needs and difficulties of the situation. The fence is almost finished and looks so good, in spite of some of the mistakes the previous contractor made.
