I had met with 4-5 different flooring companies that came recommended by Nextdoor neighbors, but after meeting with Jeff Roy, my mind was made up. As you can imagine, preparing a house for sale while still grieving a loss is not easy, especially when you don't live in the area. Sure, Jeff understands flooring, but he also has a sharp eye for detail and an understanding of real estate trends. He did not try to oversell, and in hindsight, all his advice proved to be sound. Jeff and his crew completed the work in less than two and a half days, working around the painters who had fallen way behind schedule. They removed the wall-to-wall carpeting on the upper level: one huge master bedroom, two smaller rooms, hallway, common area space, and stairs. The floors are gorgeous, giving the house a much needed facelift.

I hired Alex with Walpro to paint the interior walls of my home with the exception of any closets…read morein the home. These are the issues I ran into with him: Paid for entire home interior painting with the only exception being closet walls (specifically said this on the contract) and when I walked through after he had "completed" the job I noticed the bathrooms hadn't been touched. When I asked him about this he tried to give me the run around saying it wasn't included in his original measurements. So I tell him that's not cool because it was not mentioned to me nor was it put in the contract agreement that they would not be painted and if that was his intention then he should have told me so. Then he blames the builder of the house saying they cheaped out somehow because they used an expensive high acrylic paint for the bathrooms to keep the moisture out and he can't paint over it or something. So basically only offers me to color match the walls and provide me with some paint to do it myself for touch ups. Okay that's fine even though that's not what we agreed upon and you were paid thousands of dollars for. Since then, about a month ago now, I still have not heard back from him about that paint match. Nice. While he was doing the job there was a room in the house that had bunk beds and he called me saying that he could not paint that room with out the bunk beds completely disassembled and moved out. Okay? So me not wanting to have to do that I said just don't paint the room whatever. Then he calls me saying he can't paint the laundry room without the washer and dryer moved out as well. Okay again I tell him whatever just don't paint that room then. Later after he finished the job and I asked for the prorated amount since the original quote was for him painting the entire house and he now had two whole less rooms he said the price was the same and he couldn't lower it even though he had two less rooms to paint. Doesn't make sense to me but whatever. Expect to have to go over multiple times to move stuff for him out of the way or remove simple curtain rods from windows. This is stuff I feel was easy enough and he could have done without making me have to come do work. The whole point of hiring a professional is so I don't have to do anything. They were small tasks that he asked me to come do but it's like really why can't you do them instead of making me spend my time coming here to do it. Like he left without putting all the outlet plates back on all the walls and left a giant handrail that he took down from the stairwell on the ground that I had to screw back into the wall. this wouldn't have been a huge deal if it weren't for all the other problems I had with him. The paint job was.. ehh.. okay I guess. Definitely better than what I could have done. But I did notice some splotches on some walls where it looked like the color was darker than on other spots. He completely missed a part of the master bedroom touch up to the baseboards which I will provide a picture of. He left wholes in the wall from where screws were previously instead of patching them. And there was a big scrape in the stairwell from where a ladder must have hit the wall after the paint job was finished. All of this I texted him about with no response on him coming to fix it. This one is completely my own opinion but I felt he was not very professional. I get it we live in a beach city but if you're running a business you could show a little professionalism and not so lackadaisical. Calls you man a ton and just talks to you like we are old buddies, idk, just weird for a business transaction setting. Again this one is my opinion some people may like that. The biggest thing is I don't feel like he has tried to make any of this right, I have waited a month now before posting this review to see if he would follow up. But if you aren't even going to try then I need to let people know.
