The grounds are very much in need of some TLC. The sites are spacious and our group was placed together - which made spending time together easy...and fun. They are on top of the maintenance and the bathrooms/showers are quite impressive. My hopes - before returning next year (and writing an updated, very positive review) - is that the owners invest a bit of money in landscaping. Even if it is just tilling the sites. Get rid of the coarse weeds and level it off. So much potential. We will be back!

We were directed to park here by a local rafting company, followed the visible signs with arrows, and the "Rhinestone Cowboy" (aka R.C.) who claimed "this is my property" (maybe the owner?) LOST HIS MIND and chased us down with his oversized truck. R.C. SO DESPERATELY wants to be perceived as a cowboy that it is hilariously pitiful!! Encounters with the rest of the staff were equally unpleasant. If R.C. is the owner, then I am waiting for him to go out of business. If he is not the owner, then I hope the owner reads (and responds) to this post. Having R.C. as the face of your establishment is a dis-service to the community of Kernville and the Southern Sierra business coalition. I have been frequenting Kernville, rafting, fishing, and mountain biking for over 25 years and this is the first, and only, negative experience I have ever had with a local business. In fact, I spoke with several local business OWNERS in Kernville, and they mentioned how difficult this place was to deal with, right after rolling their eyes!!! Yelp managers. I contacted Elite Equipment Rentals a couple weeks prior to re-roofing my house. Andy answered my…read morecall and proceeded to tell me the needed information in renting one of his trailers. I was told the base price upfront and the duration (24 hours) that I would have it. I scheduled the drop off and two weeks later the trailer was in my driveway the night before I needed it. I had let him know the workers would be starting early and he remembered this critical information so he brought it the night before just to be safe (1st star for first impressions!). He locked the trailer hitch for security. Informed me of the mechanical/weight limits of the trailer based on the tar and rock roof we were disposing of and said he would be back in 24 hours (2nd star for clear communication!). Halfway through the day my roofer had informed me that he had loaded the trailer to the limit defined by Andy. I had not expected this and needed my roofer to complete his tear down of my roof or I would lose valuable time. I called Andy and he was able to take it to the nearest dump and return it back to my house within an hour and a half (3rd star for Service!). The next day I had framers onsite dumping lumber into the trailer which finished out my 24 hour rental period. I had all my roofing material getting delivered that morning so I had to make sure this trailer was not in the way of the truck dropping off the material. Andy came promptly on time took the trailer and my delivery company was able to drop off the roofing material. (4th star for attentiveness!). When all weights were tallied after both trips to the dump, Andy charged my card for the weight overage and provided me pictures of the receipts from the landfill showing exact weights and charges keeping things clear and free from confusion (5th star for Honesty and Professionalism!). I highly recommend Elite Equipment Rentals for all your hauling needs. Andy makes it easy and enjoyable to get your junk removed. Why call the city and wait for large or heavy objects to be removed by the trash company once a year when you can just call Andy and have it done in a day!? Keep up the great work!

The owner was very friendly and the prices were really good compared to others. The trailer was a good size and we fit all of our stuff in it. I was amazed at how responsive he was to my inquiry and was able to drop off the trailer the next day (considering it was on a weekend). I also like the red and black camo because it doesn't look tacky in front of my house because I'm weird and care about that stuff. Will definitely be using them again in the future.
