Long review: started out good but quickly turned bad and unprofessional. Chris, a male hair…read morestylist, talked my ear off during a cut and highlight that lasted 1 h 45 minutes. I thought he did a great job. I came in for a trim at 8 weeks and then another trim plus highlights 8 weeks after that. Both of these appointments were very rushed, Chris was quiet (which I was fine with) and I walked out thinking he must have been in a quiet mood. He never asked me if my hair cut was what I wanted or checked in with me during my appointments, but I complimented him on his efficiency and tipped him 20% every time I saw him. After a few days (less than a week) after the cut and highlight, I saw that he barely gave me a haircut (no layers; I have very fine, thin hair) and the highlights were not done well (big chunk of brown roots on back of head). I texted and asked if I could come in to fix the issues. He said, of course. He was very pissy and quiet at this appointment; he added more toner and then trimmed again after I showed him a few pictures. When I asked him about balayage he snapped, "If you want that you're going to have to go to someone else because I'm not good at that." I tipped him $20 and he told me I should buy two products, a shampoo for icy blonds and moroccan oil; I bought them and left. Again, after a few days my hair looked the same, no style, too long everywhere and uneven bottom and an abrupt A-ish line in the back. I texted him October 3rd to cancel my last scheduled haircut which was for October 11th. He replied: That's okay. To be honest, you made me very uncomfortable when you were in my chair. I don't think we're a good fit. I've NEVER had a hairdresser be this moody, inconsistent and unprofessional in Spokane or anywhere else. I'd avoid Chris at Wink Salon if you don't want any drama or bad haircuts.

I chose this salon because of the 2022 Best Of award, however my visit was extremely unsatisfying…read more My hair cut is not good, it is choppy/messy and I will be getting it redone somewhere else. Now sometimes communicating the cut desired can be hard, so I acknowledge that maybe she just didn't get what I wanted. But even at the end of my appointment she didn't show me my cut and ask my opinion on it, she just finished and got me out of the chair. My friend went after me and same thing. She didn't cut her hair how she requested it, she hurried her appointment, and she didn't even show it/ask for approval or blow dry her hair. So in the end we finished our appointment, my hair was dried and styled, hers was wet and unfinished and yet we paid the same exact thing. I am not one to generally write bad reviews, but this was such a let down. Will not be returning.
