Radar Toys is my new favorite toy store. I'm kind of annoyed I didn't know about it before today…read more But I'll definitely be back. My husband was looking for a small local toy store to go buy a birthday gift for our baby nephew. So this is the store we picked. We'd planned to go to Target as a backup plan. I'd also fully expected we would go in here and find something and have to buy it on Amazon because it would be significantly cheaper. But that wasn't the case, and that made me so happy. Their prices are absolutely reasonable, even for things that are normally insane and overpriced. I was really impressed. The staff that are working clearly love their job and are incredibly helpful. They greeted us when we walked in, let us explore, and answered all of our questions, taking us to certain aisles and showed us things. We were definitely welcomed in the store. We ended up buying two toys for our nephew's first birthday, and I'm definitely coming back when Christmas comes closer. This is such an amazing small local business to support and everyone should take the time to stop by.

My partner and I were walking around the store with about 8 other patrons and we noticed that three different customers tried to interact with the owner (?), a man who was searching on his phone the whole time. Two ladies were trying to talk to him about the store pup, while another guy was trying to make chit-chat and both either received a few grumbles or an inaudible response. He didn't ever look up from his phone. This type of service bums us out and we decided to return our handfuls of specimens that we carefully picked out while walking through their well-stocked store.

Adam went above and beyond by providing us with great customer service! So instead of my son having to wait to use his RC car when we got home, my son can now use his car while we are visiting Eugene! The prices are great and the service is outstanding!!

Well, bullshit! I get home all excited to drive my new r/c truck around and what do I find after I open the box...no battery pack or charger. Clearly NOT READY TO RUN! Do the words "false advertising" mean anything? A customer out and out LIED to me (not the toy store's false) and your employees never said a single word that I would need to buy the missing items. I won't ever be a customer of Eugene Toy and Hobby again....mainly because this is the third time I have been misled and having to make a second trip to the store to return something. NOT good customer relations. I'll be using Amazon from now on. Pretty pathetic!

This has to be one of the most prolific kite shops I have been in. The interior is just completely flooded with a wash of colors from all sorts of kites, windsocks, spinners, you name it they have it. There is such a huge variety in here that it is almost overwhelming to decide what type of kite to get. Fortunately for me, I am a fan of the long trailing dragon kites. I ended up purchasing a 32 foot long dragon kite. I also got one of those spools that are easy to wind. The kite did come with a small spool, but the shopkeeper set it up for me as a replacement roll as a backup spool. We also ended up getting a patriotic windsock for our carport and the Mrs picked out a nice streamer windsock with a stained glass butterfly for our patio. This shop is very much customer service oriented and has a huge volume and variety, including those metallic wind spinners. In the future if I'm in the market for a large competition kite, it will be worth it to take the drive from Eugene to get here.
