I was really liking how things were progressing with my length and needed a bit of shaping up so I made an appointment with Ashley. I showed her inspo pics with flowy length on the top and sides with a low taper in front of the ears (just barely above the sideburns) and a clean longer taper in the back. I didn't ask for anything overly complicated. As she finished the haircut and handed me the mirror to look, she said "I did the best I could but your hair is SO straight." Mind you one of the inspo pics I shared was an East Asian guy who had straight hair like me. She ended up buzzing my hair all the way up the side of my head into a severe undercut, where the longer hair on top stuck out in thin spikes. One side was cut differently than the other. The back was not tapered at all. I did not get the flow haircut I asked for, and I was devastated. I went home and tried to find a way to style this travesty of a haircut that could salvage it but there was no way. I texted pics to some friends and their responses were: "oh they did you dirty", and "who did this?? I'm ready to fight!" and "this is follicular malpractice!". I couldn't go out in public like this, so I ended up buzzing the top completely off, losing all of the length I spent so long growing out. I'm so mad that I spent over 45 bucks on one of worst haircuts I've ever gotten.

This place is great with doing haircuts and hairstyles but makeup is not there thing at all they…read moreshould not offer makeup service to anyone at all. For prom my makeup artist canceled on me so then I was recommended to go to this place and this lady that I didn't catch her name but I go in the store and I told her if they do makeup here and she said yes and showed me some of her work and I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said she can do that so she did my hair first which it turned out fine then my makeup but really portly done she really messed me up big time I wish I can post the picture here but she rrally messed me up and it was really unhygienic too. She was using her hands to do everything she rubbed foundation on my face I couldn't see because I wear glasses so I couldn't really see what she was doing to me, but I thought she was rubbing moisturizer or prepping my face because she told me to show up anything on my face so then I feel that she started to work on my eyeshadow already so she finishes one eye and shows me and that's where I see the fucking horro site AND IT WASNT THE COLOR AT ALL and mind you I kept telling her if she needed to see the picture again and she kept saying no so ok she is a stubborn old lady so then I showed her the picture of the eyeshadow that it's not the color even close to what I wanted she got really bothered with me and she was like well you don't like it and my not the eyeshadow color I so that she has such a whole attitude this whole entire time she was doing my make up and then she can't make any remarks. Oh well I don't really like having makeup. I don't like The Looks like you guys be doing now these days I like natural. And it's like she shouldn't be saying anything like you're gonna get paid for this work and then she finishes and I look like a clown it was so bad and she then said well u didn't give me much to work with and trying to blame my acne for it. She was very unprofessional the whole entire time and her wake up skills are just not it. She should never offer this server and she was very unprofessional the whole entire time and her skills are just not it. She should never offer makeup services ever again and mess up someone fuck up over badly and especially on my prom day. So yeah I wish this old lady was honest in the beginning that she could do hair. She is really unprofessional making remarks and critiquing the picture I showed her. I hope she never gets another victim.

It's a one woman operation and it seems like Mila knows just about everyone that comes through her door. She's always friendly and quick to ask how you're doing, how's the family but if you're not in the mood to talk she doesn't mind that either. I've been coming to her for haircuts now for about 5 years and I've had no complaints. It's cash only, and the price is comparable to any other barber shop, but with just her there she knows you and you build a rapport. I've gotten free shampoos from her, just 'cause and around Christmas time she sets out brandy and she'll do a shot with you. The only downside is is if she's busy then you'll have to wait a little bit, but most don't mind. I know I don't because I just walk in and hardly ever set an appointment.

Aaron treats his customers worse than he expects them to treat him. Allow me to explain:…read more I showed up for a haircut today 8-9 minutes late. Aaron refused to see me, saying it would ruin his entire day. Maybe that seems reasonable to you -- I was late, and it was his first cut of the day -- but here's why it's not: In the year or so I've been going to him, he's cancelled on me twice. Once, he said he was sick and asked if we could reschedule. When I asked when we might re-sked -- informing him I needed a cut before the weekend for MY WEDDING -- he went days without responding, only offering actual appointments after I followed up several times. No offer to connect me with someone else in the shop, no recognition that this was important. Then, a few months later, he cancelled on me literally as I was on the way to the shop: "Hey bud! I've got you at 8:30 am but I'm out in the suburbs right now for some birthday stuff and won't be back until a bit later. Can I get you in later today or later this week?" When I sent my availability for a reschedule, he again didn't respond until I followed up. Illness is one thing. "Birthday stuff" is just blowing me off. In short, Aaron will cancel on customers at the last minute and ignore important rescheduling requests. But if you show up 8-9 minutes late, he will refuse to see you, then speak to you like an aggrieved party. He will cite a policy on the website that says they "generally" do not accept customers who are ten minutes late, even though you're objectively NOT 10 minutes late. (And let's be real: a customer showing up 5-10 minutes late is part of running a barber shop. Or a dentist's office. Or whatever.) EDIT: He will then charge you full price for your "missed" appointment and send you a quasi-apology that also insults you. I kept going to him because he was convenient, reasonably priced, and seemed like a good guy at heart. But no more. He's actually petulant, unprofessional, unreasonable, condescending, unfair -- just childish, really. I see a few other reviews that state the same.
