When I got home and showered though, I realized that it was a bit too long on the top and didn't like the way it looked when combed to the side. Not the barber's fault but I still called Charlie's shop the next time I was free and asked if I could get it touched up. Charlie told me to come in the same day, any time I was free, and quickly fixed the top by trimming it a bit shorter. I really appreciated that he took the time to do that and now I like the look of my hair a lot better. I will definitely return here since they do great work and made me feel like they appreciated my business.

The shop is relatively small, there were only two barbers working at the time. They do online reservations via Booksy and walk-ins. My stylist was Kara and he did an amazing job. He cut my hair exactly as I specified and it was very neat and clean. He made some small talk, but wasn't overly chatty. The haircut took about 20 minutes. The price came out to $35 and of note they only take cash, no cards. The only negative aspect of my visit is that while I did book an appointment for noon, I wasn't taken for my haircut till 12:30, but the staff was apologetic. The reception area is reasonable sized in the center of the store next to the register and there are some books and magazines to read.

He made the bizarre claim that he did this on purpose because the first clipper he used wasn't doing anything (despite the fact that the very first one he used took tons off). And even if that were true, there's no excuse for going tons shorter than I asked for without even telling me first. He also tried to convince me afterwards that it's "better" since it's hotter in July. If he actually did that intentionally (and wasn't just covering for a mistake after the fact) then I don't know what to say other than be extremely careful coming here. No barber anywhere should be doing something completely different than what the customer asked without at least telling them before they do it. Will absolutely never be coming back here again.
