First time coming here and I eat a lot of different wing places and wanted to try it. Great service, good beer, and the wings were cooked perfectly. I would give the wings a 7.8/10 which is up there. I would definitely come back. Fries were seasoned a little heavy but maybe some people like that. Overall a great place to eat. The ranch is also fantastic!! read more

Place is very nice. A lot of tvs! Coldest beer this side of the Missouri River. Also lots of tvs! read more

Tried out this place for date night this weekend and do not recommend. The service was good but the food is absolutely horrible. Mozzarella sticks were cold (cheese not even melted) both orders of wings were so dry it was like chewing beef jerky. The dry rub wings with lemon pepper were literally so extremely salty that it made my face pucker and it was just flat out hard to swallow. It was like every employee in the business lined up in the kitchen with a salt shaker and just went to town. $52 completely wasted. We threw the food away and made dinner at home. read more

Was looking for a place close to home to eat and watch a college football game. I thought I would give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was loud and boisterous but then it was during several games on the big screen. The staff was friendly and quick to fulfill our order. The waitress was attentive without being annoying. We ordered onion rings and two different types of wings. The wings were delicious, juicy and full of flavor. The teriyaki was my favorite! Finger licking good or many napkins! The onion rings were crispy with good flavor and not greasy! I saw many other items on the menu I want to try. Since my first experience went so well, I'll definitely be back! read more

Very unimpressed by everything. The 3/4 pound saucy nuggets had hardly any sauce on them. They also forgot to give me ranch. I also ordered fries that were soggy and room temperature. I will not eat here again. read more

So I was in Omaha for work and asked the hotel where I could get some serious wings? I was told Ray's original in downtown! I head over and it's in a beautiful area of Omaha or trendy area! Place is very large for a wing place (growing up in NYC places for wings were not the size of a Bennigans) but good smells coming from the kitchen! Asked what flavors are the beat and they said the original hot was fantasy and put them on the map in Omaha in 1991! Ray is from Buffalo NY so my expectations were high! I got the original hot and Korean BBQ! The bartender let me sample a few flavors which I thought was awesome and they make the sauces in house! The Lunch Box was another flavor I liked but you have to order them in 6,10,20 and only one flavor per batch! Well the original hot was done awesome and the wings were crispy and cooked perfect! The Korean BBQ was better on the wing then on the sample cup! My two somewhat downsides were that $6.75 for 6 medium size wings seems high and the excess sauce in the basket! Besides that the wings were excellent and service is very good! To see more pictures of this place and many others come join the Kam Finds Food page on both Facebook and Instagram! I will be back to try other flavors! read more

Met a friend here for dinner and ordered the beef on weck sandwich. The horseradish sauce accompanying the sandwich was extremely spicy as a heads up, and the actual sandwich was delicious with a soaked bun and tender beef with each bite. I love curly fries and these did not disappoint either. Fast and quick service with a sports bar feel, this is a go to place to watch some football, basketball, etc. read more

8/31/2018- I came here around 10pm so its was pretty much empty inside. After reading few comments I really wanted to try out their wings. I read one of the reviews which said "attentive bartender" hmmmm okay. I will start off with few things, besides me and my friend there were other two people at the bar so I assumed the service would be fast. It took exactly 10 minutes to get a glass of beer. Oh and I asked for a glass of water which I never got. I waited another good 5 minutes to get server to come take our order after I told we are ready to order. 1. I asked xx hot charred wings and also asked to bring xxx hot sauce on the side (because I wanted to try). I only got the wings. 2. Btw this is the first place ever where wings did not come with celery. Do we have to ask for it? (i am not sure about that part). Because I saw celery being served to the other table right next to us. 3. Wings were pink inside (pics attached). 4. Oh I had xx hot charred wings but still no water that I asked in the beginning :) so not sure if my server/bartender was "ATTENTIVE" 5. In overall I personally will not come back here or recommend anyone but it might just be one of those days and I happened to be here. read more

Ray's is usually very good but sometimes they will ruin an order. I recently picked up 20 wings- both charred, different sauces. Ten were done just right (charred with some black but still juicy), but the other ten were seriously burned and completely dried out like jerky. If the wings get totally burned and way beyond charred because they were cooked too long, throw them out and make a fresh batch. We ended up throwing away the burned wings because they were so bad. read more

Horrible experience there during Jazz on the Green yesterday. Ordered a personal size pizza to go and waited one hour only to be told my ticket was lost. Was offered a discount and another 20 minutes to fill the order. Unacceptable. read more

This place was really good for watching sports games. Tons of TVs that can be seen from any seat/table. We didn't try the wings which was probably a mistake. We ordered mozzarella sticks and fries for appetizers. The fries were alright but the mozzarella sticks seemed like something from a package. Our entrees were better though, but still I was expected more. I had a salad and my friend had a sandwich. They were both fine. The service however was really good. Servers were constantly asking us how things were and if we needed anything. read more

WAY overpriced typical bar food. I'm not even sure why this place is where it is, in midtown crossing. 6 chicken fingers will set you back $14.55 (a la carte) I added some generic tasteless onion rings and now I'm up to $20.80. Ridiculous! Our table bought two pitchers of beer to which I payed for one. With tip I got out of there for 45 dollars!!! Definitely off my radar read more

Checked out this place with a buddy. I wasn't planning on eat, but after seeing what was on the menu, I figured what the heck. I went with the boneless appetizer wings. Thought I was getting six and ten came out. I had a medium sauce and it wasn't very spicy, but very tasty. The wings weren't like chicken nuggets, almost like meat taken off the bone and then fried. Very tasty and delicious. Also had some house firs, very tasty as well. The place is huge and I think a little hidden. You can watch any sporting event you want there. But it is nestled on the corner of new living and restaurant area. So park in the garage and have them validate your parking. The wait staff was awesome too. I will definitely be heading back next time I'm in town. Update: I went back the very next day. Confirmed the boneless wings are amazing. Got the sweet potato fries as well. They are delicious. I will be stop by this place at least once a time when I am in Omaha. read more

I had the Buffalo chicken fries and they were pretty average. I could make them at home. The wings were really good though. Go for the wings only. The service was awesome but I only saw one server who was also bartending. We were only checked on once. This is a pretty average sports bar and is a great place to watch sports. read more

We are happy this establishment is open during a pandemic and from past experience it has been enjoyed. Today we placed an order through the restaurants online service and It gave us a specific time that the food would be done. Once the website informed us it was ready, we went to pick it up. When we arrived we were told that the food order had been put in but never made, forcing us to wait an additional 30min (a total time of wait adding up to be about an hour). On top of that, several food items and sauces that were paid for were not in the order. (Such as an egg on veg Philly, and 3 sauces.) Also the chicken in the chicken finger sub was tough and hard to eat. The rest of the order was made correctly and enjoyed. read more

These wings were really good!! The bleu cheese dressing was amazing!!! Nice big, chunks of cheese! I had a salad with Ranch! Again. Awesome ranch!!!Salad was so good!! Loved going to Ray's at the old place, but couldn't wait for them to move a little closer. We had the wings, of course, what else? I had the Buffalo Mild and we shared some corn and jalepeno fritters. They were kind of slow as we visited in the early afternoon on a Saturday and the Zydeco festival was beginning in Turner Park, but the staff was great and very attentive! Our waitress was A+. I had the wings charred this time and loved them even more! The fritters were pretty tasty too. We were customers before and will continue to come back to Ray's new location! read more

My husband and I tried Rays for the first time the other night and were impressed with how good everything was! The fried mushrooms were excellent-they were the right balance between cooked and firm. 1st time here & love it! Started with sweet potato, waffle cut fries. They're served with a side of honey butter. These are my #1 favorite sweet potatoes in town! You can actually taste bite size Sweet Potato! Delicious!!! Next is wings 10 for $10.50 with all the usual sauce choices to chose from & a few creative choices as well. I enjoyed the toasted sesame teriyaki & medium sauces. Our table consensus is the wings are better than BW3! Ray's wings are now my favorite in town! You'll have to try them & see if you agree!! Other menu items include Philly sandwiches & burgers. They have around 20 big screen TV's, so you'll be sure to watch your favorite sport, while enjoying good food & drinks. Our waiter, Spencer S. was very attentive, friendly & fast! He's from the previous location & is very knowledgeable on how this place is ran! Very clean establishment, with a great location! We will definitely be back for more!!!! read more

It isn't bad. And this is actually a huge compliment in that it is located in the place where food goes to die aka midtown crossing. I think they named it as such because of the food desert one must cross to travel from blackstone to the old market. Forgive me, the grey plume and thirst tea are amazing but the rest of them are lackluster at best. Anyway, this wing place is located in the space that used to be occupied by the also atrocious saints pub. Still looks the same with plentiful tvs and nice sports bar atmosphere. The problem is the price point. For a small order of wings and 5 fingers the bill ended up being 30 dollars. Way too much for a place that is supposedly one dollar sign on yelp and serves average food. Maybe the experience would have been better if I washed the chicken down with a bruski but I ran out of money. Guess I'll try that next time if I'm stranded in Saharan midtown. read more

This is a really good wing. I just moved here a few months ago and have been trying out new places to eat. I went to Ray's around 11:30 in a Thursday. I ordered 2 six piece wings and an order of fries. My flavors were x hot and bourbon Sriracha. The wings are a little bigger than what you'd get at BWW but not quite the monster wings I was expecting from some reviews I read. Still, they were really tasty. They were comes well and Ray's is generous with the sauce. Their original Buffalo sauce goes from "zero x" to "xxx." The single x was perfect for me. I like a spicy wing but not so hot you can't taste anything. The flavor on these was perfect. There bourbon Sriracha was a little disappointing. There wasn't enough kick to it. The fries were really great though, with just the right amount of salt. They were thick cut but not steak fries. If you like super crispy fries, these are not for you but I loved them. I wish I'd known about what appears to be a lunch buffet before I ordered. I'll do that next time to try out some other flavors. read more

The staff will ignore you and keep you waiting forever. Horrible service. The food is mediocre.

These wings were amazing! I ordered 10 tequila lime on medium heat and was very satisfied! Also had fries on the side and they were good. Tried the stuffed nachos and was disappointed it didn't come with more. It was like a tortilla chip stuffed with cheese and other ingredients that made it taste amazing. Recommend trying the tequila like sauce but I'll definitely be back to check out the other flavors! read more

Ordered 10 wings in their original buffalo style X hot sauce and for someone who loves spicy, it hit the spot. I tried my friend's BBQ wings in their special "charred" style and it was alright. I don't think it justifies for being $1 more as it was kinda dry and the burnt taste lingered. I also ordered their house cut fries and oh man, I cleaned my plate off, and helped my friend with his too! I also tried some of my friend's sweet potato waffle fries and it was so tasty! They come with a dollop of honey butter and that was a game changer. Our waitress checked up on us regularly to ask how things were going and for water refills which is always nice when you don't have to flag one down. The new Ray's has the typical sports bar ambiance going, with a pool table to the side and at least 10 LCD's running across behind the bar area. Overall this is a great place for wing lovers (or non-wing lovers, they got burgers here too!) to get their grub on. Also, convenient and easy parking being located in Midtown Crossing. read more

I stopped by for the first time tonight to pick up a burger and fries to go. The burger was fine and the fries were very good. But my server had on a T-shirt that said in big letters across the back, FBI, Female Breast Inspector. Really? In 2021? Is there any wonder I was the only woman inside the restaurant? I know good help is hard to get but the owners might want to consider investing in some more neutral T-shirts to give to their employees. I'm undecided as to whether I'll be back. read more

First timer. Recommended by a friend who used to go to the original location in the 90's. Tucked away on 36th and T in a small bar. There were six of us so we tried a variety of wings. The wings were very good with the highlight being the sauces. I tried the "challenge" wings which were extremely hot but still maintained a great flavor. I would recommend the BBQ sauce over the traditional buffalo sauce. Another surprisingly good wing was the garlic/Parmesan. The sauce was thick and tasted like a combo of italian dressing, garlic and Parmesan cheese. We also got a couple of baskets of onion rings... which were also good. Another protip.... try the blue cheese dip for the wings. This isnt your normal blue cheese dressing but tasted like a combo of ranch with fresh blue cheese crumbles. Mild but with a little blue cheese bite. Service was great and Ray came out and talked to us. Seemed like a super friendly guy who really enjoys his wings! Would definitely recommend to any wing lover. Only drawback was that is was a little bit pricier than I would have thought. read more

At first I didnt know what to expect. I assumed that the business lemon drop and rays wings were one business. But that is untrue. I walked in and noticed the lunch hour crowd piled in. I sat down and awaited my friends arrival for lunch. Wasnt greeted by the bartender that I thought was the waitress. I sat there patiently waiting when finally a cook from the back asked if i was ordering lunch and i let him know i was waiting for a friend. No offer of drink. Probably a good idea to hire a waitress to take care of patrons while your stuck in the back cooking orders. I think first impressions are a must. I think the bartender could have at least notified me of how things worked since she too is trying to promote the bar. But i guess not. Oh well, not my business not my problem. My friend came in and ray came out from the back and started chatting with us. Thats what this place was missing the whole time. I ordered 12 bourbon Sriracha, a sauce ray has been working on and also 12 wings hot. House made sauces. Bourbon Sriracha had a great flavor. The bourbon taste was there just not the spicy kick of the Sriracha. I notified ray because he asked me for my option. The house hot sauce was also great. Spicy but not over powering. I didnt see the whole menu but noticed they do more than just wings. Closed Monday's and Tuesday but open the rest of the week. Lunch and dinner. Ray mentioned that he was voted best wings in Omaha last year. Awesome award to have. Im thinking yelps bbq wings group had a say in that! All in all i was pleased after the ruff start. Ill be back and spread the word. Rays a great guy and has a great vision for what hes trying to accomplish. Good luck read more

So happy to see that Ray's is back. I would frequent the old establishment with my family as it was down the street from our house. When it closed I never found another wing place that came close to Rays. Today I ordered 6 wings (received 8) of the hot variety. Went to Ray's for a company outing with about 30 people. I arrived early and the staff were really accommodating. They were friendly and offered me a drink while they were setting up the seating. When the rest of my team arrived, my team decided they wanted to sit elsewhere and the staff was very eager to change everything. There were no problems. I tried the Ray's BBQ, Bourbon Siracha, Sweet Chili, and Jamaican Jerk Rub on our wings. The Sweet Chili on the boneless wings won me over! Plump and sweet wings! Very good! I also had Chips/Salsa and Celery with Blue Cheese dressing. This was a great place for a team outing! read more

I ate at Ray's for a late lunch today with my wife and daughter. It was not super busy, but about half full. I like to start with service and that was on point today. Our server, Paris, is a favorite of ours from another place we used to frequent, so I knew we were in good hands. Drinks stayed full, plenty of napkins (a must with wings), and she even remembered our beer preference! Very nice! The food came out in a timely manner and well. Speaking of food, it was fantastic. I have followed Ray since back in the day at 96 and Q. It was a long, sad wait for him to reopen. The wings are every bit as good as they were then (and at the Lemon Drop). I've moved down on my spice level preference (getting old sucks) and got "Xtra hot". They were plenty spicy and the blue cheese dressing tasted house made with really cold celery. These guys REALLY know what they're doing! The rest of the table got grilled cheese and ham and cheese with fries. These were given an enthusiastic thumbs up. We also tried a couple of apps, the highlight being jalepeno corn nuggets with honey to dip. Delicious! Facilities-pretty much the same as when it was Saints. Spacious, great patio, lots of TVs. Everything you need. Why not five stars? The menu is pretty limited right now. They were out of quite a few things and dropped my favorite item besides wings, the fried bologna and onion sandwich. Insert sad face here. I think this might just be a temporary thing and it definitely won't keep me from returning. Overall, an awesome place to go for some of the best wings in town. read more

Yumm! I met a few girlfriends for dinner here when I was back in town. Their "boneless wings"/chicken tenders and cheese balls were pretty good!
