I am a woman and it's great to go into an auto shop and not have to worry about dealing with weasels. Example: The week before, they fixed a flat (different tire) which saved me the expense of having to buy a new tire. This week, I got a flat on a different tire (unlucky!). They were able to quickly replace my flat tire with a new one of the same brand, size, and series (would have bought two new tires, but couldn't fit in the budget). Even though their website didn't have any scheduled appointments, Tyler and Chase were able to squeeze me in. They gave me a great price and had me out the door in about 15 minutes. Thank you for the fast, capable service, Tyler and Chase! And after everything (both times), they properly stowed the spare tire! Waiting area is clean, comfortable, with free drinks. It even has a small table and chair set for kids. Garrett Tire & Auto will be my go-to from now on. Highly recommended!

They call me tell me the noise that I was hearing was from my big tires on my truck and charge me for a tire rotation, which I never agreed for them to do. I get to the shop asked them if they would ride with me to hear the noise I was originally talking about. To their surprise, they heard the noise I was originally referring to.I tell them what I think it might be and I left the truck with them to look at it again. I've attached the estimate they gave me to fix what "the issue was". My husband looks at it because he said there's no way that noise could be from what they stated. And what did he find out, sure enough all it was was broken brake clips. This cost me roughly $12 I think to replace. The whole point to this post is to say, wait let your husband look at it or you can just take it to the shop like I did get charged for something it didn't need and then get lied to about an expensive unnecessary repair. Also,I've learned that even though this is 2024 we are still in the 1900s Era where men think women don't know crap.

They agreed to look at the pan. When I dropped the vehicle off for repair, I provided the stock pan as well and told them that if the after market pan would not work, to simply replace it with the stock pan. They kept the vehicle over night, replaced the after market pan, and said it was fixed when I Picked it up. 30 minutes down the road the leak returned and got worse over night. When I called to ask for a refund (on Friday) the receptionist said she would talk to the owners about a refund, she did not call me back. I called again on Monday, the receptionist said no refund because the pan was after market. I asked for the manager reminding him of our conversation about the repair and he said he would talk to the owners and call me back late that day or first thing the next day, so far no call. The manager and I had discussed in detail the repair going forward. The invoice even identified that the after market pan wouldn't work, but they put the after market pan on anyway. This shop totally disregarded my service request, refused me a refund, now won't even call me back. Use any transmission shop except this one, they are out to cheat you and take your money!

I told them to fix my oil lines which they said were leaking the worst and that cost around $400. well when I decided to drive it to my personal mechanic in Kentucky he told me that not only were they overcharging me, everything they said was wrong with it was a lie!! they also didn't even replace the oil lines that I paid for!! this is why I never trust big mechanic shops. I repeat DO NOT GO HERE!

Great experience at Terry's Auto Clinic in Springdale (801 W. Johnson Ave). I recently moved to…read moreSpringdale, AR, with a 17-year-old Subaru Legacy Station Wagon. As a single woman, relatively new in town, and with a vehicle that needs a few tweaks now and then, I needed a local mechanic that I could trust - both in terms of workmanship, as well as personal integrity (meaning who wouldn't rip me off... sorry, but there are a lot of dishonest mechanics out there.) Lucky for me, one of my endodentist's assistants recommended Terry's Auto Clinic a while back. So with the holidays approaching, I realized an oil and change and an inspection, to ensure the trusty four-wheeled family heirloom could make a 1700 mile round trip for Christmas, was in order. So I made an appointment and gave Terry and his crew a verbal a list of known minor issues and that was that. The day of the appointment, there was no waiting. A little over an hour later, the beast (i.e., the car) was ready. With a car like this, it could be a gold mine for a mechanic in terms of unnecessary repairs. Terry did nothing of the sort. Just changed the oil, confirmed what I had already told him, and recommended a fellow for an estimate on some exhaust work if I was interested in pursuing it. Terry gave me some tips on what type of oil to use, and when and how to measure it (there are some leaks - nothing serious at this point). Terry and his crew are easy talk to, and listens to your concerns - there's no pressure or effort on their part try to sell you services where you don't need them. They do a great job - no more and no less, for a very reasonable price. Terry even gave me a discount on the inspection, which I greatly appreciated. The overall impression is friendly, professional, with that small-town hospitality that is a rarity (at least where I come from). I believe his son also works there.Terry's been working on cars since 1973, and formally in business since 1979. I can see why. If you're in the Springdale, AR, area and need work done on a vehicle (all makes, from what I can tell), I recommend Terry's Auto Clinic.
