Ray's is a great employee owned grocery store. They carry a wide variety of items and are always small town friendly and helpful.

Their tri tip from the bbq is great!! Fri, Sat, Sundays!!! Go by and get some after work

Best store ever!! Josh is an excellent manager. Staff is attentive lines are quick high quality meats as well!! Even the "nutters" woman from royal lotto apartments in town has little bad to say although that doesn't stop her from screaming tirads at staff!!! read more

I have been coming here now for a year, and hoping for more organic options in the dairy section, cheese, meats, and produce. Their organic options actually seem to be dwindling. Don't shop here if you eat mostly organic. Chances are, you won't find what you are looking for. read more

This is a surprising grocery store! It's much bigger and nicer inside than you might expect from the exterior and they have local produce (which you might not be able to get at the big box across the highway). You can get all the typical grocery items at Ray's, as well as some fishing supplies and a very large selection of wines. The staff we encountered were pleasant, too! Hooray for Ray's! read more

Came here to replenish the food-box at home and noticed that the prices here really aren't that bad compared to other places i've been lately. Just a bit higher for bananas and some other items, but average for some others (as i'm sure it is, from week to week amongst grocers in a given region). Noticed that the floors and food cases seemed very clean, and that they had a good selection of local and independent brews from the west coast. Checked out some of their thick-sliced bacon at the meat counter. The meat-counter person came out and was very helpful with our choices - they even pointed-out and had us taste some cooked samples of some of the local cuts of marinated meat they had...mighty tasty! Pretty good selection of 'Certified Organic' food and drink, too. Didn't make it back to the Deli this visit - but will probably do so next time we go out on a road trip. The entire staff we encountered were friendly and helpful - even though i didn't score big on some local scratch-off they handed me at the checkout counter. read more

There are selections here that I have not found in other stores in the area, as well as unique selections that I have never seen before! However I will say that the five stars here belong to Sheri the manager of the deli who was fantastic. Not just nice and awesome but she was a great cook too and made the best sandwich I have had in years! They have great deals in the deli as well including bake their own french rolls and other breads. Sheri definitely brightened my day and brightened the days of those who had your delicious food! It bums me out that this store has gone so far down hill. I DON'T want to shop at Walmart. I prefer supporting smaller businesses but Ray's in Eagle Point makes is very difficult. Generally the customer service is horrible. Not always. There are a few cool cats in there. There are 2 managers that I have zero idea how they are managers. Josh. Who is rude and argumentative and a female (Tall, heavyset dirty blonde) who is oblivious and dramatic. Normally I just bite my tongue and try to be grateful that I didn't have to go to Walmart even if the milk was $5.00. And then today happened. I walked down to the store with my SMALL children. We needed milk and I had nothing for dinner. At the deli there is a sign for a Fried Chicken Combo for $8.99. Pretty good deal right? So I first look for the deli clerk to get my food. No one was back there. I circled the store and came back. A kid informed me that the chicken was pre-made and upfront. The sides weren't hot but actually 2 prepackaged sides from the cooler (Reesen's?) I was disappointed but figured it was still a decent deal and we need to eat something. I grab 2 macaroni salads and head to the front to find the chicken. I just grabbed a chicken (MY BAD!) and headed to the one check stand that was open. Now. Keep in mind. I walked my infant in a stroller and I have an energetic 2 year old with me. I start to unload the hand basket (I wanted a reusable grocery bag to shop with but I couldn't find any and the clerk didn't know. The response, I'm not sure and I don't know are common in this store) when I notice there is liquid coming from one of the Mac salad sides. It drips all over when the cashier grabs it. I told the cashier I didn't want it since it was leaking. I wanted to grab another one. She was young and obviously very new. She walked over to talk to the heavy set dirty blonde manager. The manager is talking about store drama and is half heartily listening to the girl. She looks over the bowl. Removes the lid. And with her bare f'ing hand shows me that the seal has broken just a little. Now. My 2 years is grabbing candy bars and acting 2. She continues to hold my side while the cashier finished ringing up the 10 items I have. During this time I learn that another male cashier has tried to quite on her twice(from the managers mouth) but he decided to stay. And someone else may be calling sick. They will just have to see. She's completely oblivious. To either me or the cashier. I ask that another side replace the one with the broken seal. The manager tells me. "Oh. It's ok. There's nothing wrong with it. I would just stick with this one." Frustrated with her and my 2 year old who has grown impatient from standing so long in line, I just take the side she put her fingers all over. I pay quickly and head out the door with my littles to walk home. Then I stop and think. GeeZ. That seemed kinda high even for Ray's. I look at my receipt and see I'm charged per item instead of the $8.99 Combo deal. Close to double. So I turn us around and go back in. The manager Josh (this is not my first run in with dude. I am not a fan) tells me before I even get the side out of my bag that it has to be the wrong size sides or it wouldn't have charged me. He was wrong and refunded my money. Now my toddler has had it with being in one spot and he is hungry. So we hurry home. I pull out a piece of chicken and start cutting it up on my kids tray. I notice it's pretty dry and my little (who LOVES all chicken) is spitting a dry, chewed mess of it, out. The chicken is so dry my toddler refuses to eat it and I'm not excited about it either. I grab the box to see if it has any sort of time stamp. Sure enough. It was made at 10:30 AM. I bought the chicken at 5:16!!! PM! WTF! Immediately I call Josh. Who tells me that it is impossible. He knows for a fact so and so made it at noon because he told him, himself that the case was empty. I assured him I can clearly see the 10:30 drawn on the clock on the side of the box and the AM circled. He continues to tell me it was a mistake and that the chicken is fine. He assures me it isn't that old. I get a little upset and tell him I cannot feed this to my children. "Well. I think you'll be ok but if you want to come back in I GUESS I can take care of it." No. No. Nope. Not ok! I am going in the morning to speak to the actual store manager in person with my 10:30 AM chicken. If it isn't taken care of in a way that makes me feel appreciated as a customer, I will never shop there again. I rather pay for the vegetables at the butcher shop where the customer service and quality is ALWAYS amazing. read more

Slow service, great sandwiches... I waited 20 minutes for the deli girl to make 2 simple sandwiches. She put my food down 3 times to help other customers that walked up while she was making mine. She clearly has never heard the term ill be right with you. But the sandwiches were good, not worth a 20 minute wait when I was the only one in the deli when I ordered though. read more

I miss shopping at Ray's (since we moved to Wyoming). The nicest people work there, and you can get great cuts of meat... I was worried when mega-MalMart opened across the street, but Ray's fans keep coming back. read more

There are only two markets in Eagle Point for groceries. As much as it pains me to say, I will have to shop at Walmart. I am a huge supporter of local small business, however, if I am going to be treated discourteously I will go where the prices are significantly better. Travis, a millennial, is the rudest person I have come across at this location. What has happened to customer service? People have choices and as long as he is there I will not return to shop there. If you are paying a premium to support small business then you should expect something other than big corporate attitude. Very friendly staff and relaxed shopping environment. Beats walmart next door anyday.

Customer service sucks and food is expired. I wouldn't recommend going here when Walmart is right there with better food quality.
