Medford Food Co-Op is my FAVORITE place to buy organic produce in Southern Oregon because is…read moreconsistently super fresh. I don't know how they do it because other stores don't. They have a great bulk section as well. I always check out the meat department but I don't usually purchase because the prices appear to be higher than anywhere else except the Neiman-Marcus of Southern Oregon, Ashland Food Co-Op. I don't typically purchase meat there either because the prices are even higher unless something is on sale and it's something I need. I love the charming acquaintance of MFC, payed lime green and purple and nestled back in tall beautiful trees and greenery. The feeling when I pull into that parking lot is incredibly soothing -- and it's right on Riverside Drive. Go figure? Everyone who works at MFC is kind, warm, and welcoming. They're also really helpful if I have a question or I need something that they might not sell regularly or I just can't find it in the store. I never have a long wait at checkout because they understand service and a cashier comes up to the front immediately when there is anyone waiting to check out. Very, very impressive! Another thing that I really appreciate is that the store is always spotless and organized as well as 100% organic. I don't have to worry about buying something, driving home, and discovering that I purchased conventional food which I do not eat. MFC generally has the things that I want to purchase and it's very easy for me to efficiently pop in by what I need and get back on the road to finish my errands and go home. I probably shop here three times a week, maybe more because I love to buy things fresh. Please keep up the good work, folks. My husband and I really appreciate you!!!

You can get in and out really fast and never have to wait in line, if there is more than like 2 people in line they call for more cashiers. Our Trader Joe's here in Medford is one of the very best in which I have ever shopped. (The other…read moreone was in Santa Fe.). But, honestly, I think ours is the very best. In a time of both "shrinkflation" and inflation, Trader Joe's does a great job of providing top notch products with competitive prices. I buy a lot of things here, including pasture-raised eggs, half-and-half, whipping cream, organic butter, large 72% dark Belgian chocolate bars that I use in cooking, potatoes, organic produce of various kinds, ground, turkey, ground lamb, turkey at Thanksgiving, prime rib at Christmas, artisan cheese, Australian, red shrimp, the best beef bone broth, as well as chicken and turkey bone broth that I have ever purchased, and many seasonal items. I thoroughly enjoy how sweet, happy -- and knowledgable -- all of the employees are. It is such a pleasure to go there. It's sort of like attending a party with friends while grocery shopping!!! I would give our Trader Joe's 1000 stars if I could. Thank you for all that you do for Southern Oregon.

Holy Schmoly this TJ'a takes the cake for the nicest one I've ever been in!!…read more It seems FAR bigger than any TJ's I've been to but that could just have been my AWE. Stopping into this location in Medford before going to California for Thanksgiving was a great idea. Not only did we get what I needed but we definitely got a bit more. The employees were regular friendly not overly. The store was orderly despite the mass onslaught of pre-Thanksgiving shoppers. And the artwork in this location is FABULOUS. Love ALL of the gorgeous PNW art!! I'll be back onky next trip to California!!

As a housewife who does all the grocery shopping and a former child who grew up watching The Price…read moreis Right, I have a good grasp on what items cost. I visited this location as someone who doesn't live in the area and was shocked to see that the prices are way higher than regular Costco and are equal to or sometimes even a dollar or two more than just buying the exact product at Walmart or Fred Meyer. For the price of 1 loaf of Franz gluten-free bread, $7.79 for less than a dollar more I could go to Costco and get 2 loaves of Canyon Bakehouse gluten-free bread. 14 oz Tajin is $7.99. I can buy the exact same size from Walmart for $6.98. Here, 19 oz Mae Ploy canned coconut cream is $3.49 a can. Walmart online sells it individually and as a 6 pack for $2.58 per can. $3.59 for American Beauty 8 oz manicotti shells here. It's $3.49 at Fred Meyer in Medford. 16 ounces of jumbo Campfire marshmallows here are $3.39 whereas 16 oz Kraft Jet Puffed marshmallows are $2.99 at Fred Meyer in Medford. $8.69 for 24 Flav-R-Pac frozen corn cobettes or $2 for 6 Great Value frozen corn cobettes at Walmart. $14.19 for 2.125 lbs dried hash brown shreds here. Same size at Costco is $8.99. Costco sells in-store and ships #10 sized canned products so I'm confused why people are shopping here when the prices aren't wholesale, they're often slightly higher than retail at the local Fred Meyer and Walmart. There aren't many specialty products here for varied diets or cuisines, so if you're needing gluten-free or something more diverse than soy sauce or tortillas, you're going to need to order from elsewhere. I ended up buying a box of True Lemon (they didn't have the True Lime I came for.) Visited October 2024.

Without exception, the quality of the lamb we received was excellent. In addition, the manager in the meat department is very knowledgeable + is very warm and friendly, a great combination which we appreciate. We used to purchase lengua here but the price became so exorbitant that we stopped doing so. We often buy our organic SMART chicken thighs here because their prices are consistently the best in Southern Oregon. They sell out quickly so we have to be on our toes! We don't purchase much else at this store because it's primarily conventional and we eat organic. The folks that work here are very nice, which we really appreciate. We like doing business with nice people!

I do want to acknowledge the Meat and Deli employees, who were genuinely helpful and kind. They're the only reason this store earns two stars instead of one. My first interaction was with someone I assume was a manager. It took repeating "excuse me, sir" three times to get his attention, and I was treated as an inconvenience while he continued organizing shelves. From a management perspective, the interaction lacked professionalism and basic leadership. He ended up redirecting me to another employee to help me. I prefer self-checkout because I'm rated on bagging through Instacart, and I take that seriously unfortunately (maybe slight OCD some would say). As I entered self-checkout, the employee made a condescending remark about the size of my order, called over another worker, and then that "manager" joined them. All three stood together, leaning and staring in my direction as I checked out. You needed three? I told them all to have a wonderful night as I left, only one waved back. Please stare harder next time, please remember my face or get a life.
