Albertsons continues to show support for the people. This bag was less than $2 and I was happy to fill it with some awesome sauces I found. Thank you Heather, Barb, Trina, Maggie, etc. The people who work have worked here through the store changes and through the Covid pandemic STILL, after all this time, maintain that hometown feeling where they remember to say hi and greet you by name.. no matter the years in between. I also appreciate Albertsons staying open on holidays (most of the time short hours, but nonetheless), as not every one celebrates holidays, but people always need things. I appreciate the wide variety of vegan options as well. read more

I was asulted at this location while trying to get a Door Dash delivery for my customer. The fat female employee got in the middle and blocked me from defending myself. As a result I had to go to the emergency room. This employee and customer should have minded their own business. I don't shop there and never will. read more

Prices are often more than advertised even when added to the app, they come out Not at the advertised price. Also in the last two days I've gotten awful beef! Bought 2 Prime cuts of NY steak and from the side I could view they looked and felt great. When seasoning and flipping them they were grey and very fatty. After cooking I couldn't even eat mine. Such a nasty "AGED" well not actually AGED, but rotten flavor. Like a dry aged gone wrong. These were not advertised as aged. Then we had purchased a corned beef to cook the next day. It was a little under 4lbs. So I set my slow cooker to low for 6 hours. It tends to cook fast even on slow. Checked it and it was tough/not ready. Set it for another 2 hours. Still not tender. Did this for over 11 hours. We thought at the 8 hour point it was an experiment to see if we could make it tender at low cooking. The answer is NO!!!! Wasted my time and $. It had no flavor and was absolutely disgusting. I cooked corn beef over the years probably 100 times I have no idea what was wrong with this piece of meat. The only thing I can come up with is either it was under cured or from a super old or sickly cow. I'm very picky about my food that's why I pay a premium for my proteins. This was absolutely the most disgusting two meals I've ever made well at least in the last 20 years. I don't know what's going on, but something's gotta change. The only reason I'm giving even one star is because I have to. Also, because the staff are very kind. read more

Albertsons is owned by Safeway, and you use the exact same coupons. The store has much of the same stuff inside, but way more interesting things too compared to the GP Safeway. It has a much bigger bakery and deli. Way bigger flower shop. There is a full service Starbucks inside (which is awesome!) And just more food options in general. If I lived nearer this would be my go to store. Very clean, and nice inside. Convenient shopping center too , with McDonald's and Taco Bell and the hair cutting place. read more

I'm so tired of being screwed over by corporations. If it wasn't I get my RX here I'd never come back. It's one thing after another. The APP doesn't always apply discounts and if you don't notice you think you're getting sale prices but you're NOT. Just last week it was $5 over charge, in previous weeks its been $7 and $8. Their $5 Fridays run out very early and they don't want to give rainchecks or comparable subs. What about people who work and can't get there until 5pm? Managers Specials are the same. You try to speak to someone and they basically say "suck it up" that's our policy. Can't help you. BE AWARE. Check your receipts or better yet go to WINCO! Prices are outrageous. You go there and the refrigerated items aren't being unloaded off pallettes and the shelf or bin is empty so you either wait an hour for them to get to it or you have to come back. No one paying attention to restock sale items that sell out. read more

Albertsons has been a great store for quite a bit of variety. We now do curbside pick up every week and I've had lots of help from the employees to prepare our groceries. Heather has been great and already knows what items to substitute if they are out of stock! We now use them several times a week. read more

Their floral department is great! I purchased bereavement flowers with vase on their Drive & Go app. Very happy with their arrangement. I saved a lot of money buying my flowers at Albertsons, compared to the outrageous price of the local florists in town. Thank you Albertsons! read more

I have never had a problem before But.. Yesterday I bought a carrot cake here at the Allen Creek store in Grants Pass got sick so did my Granddaughter. I called customer service and was told that they were sorry I guess a bad one slipped by. No offer to replace cake or anything for the unpleasant experience we had. I would expect better of them ***UPDATE** After contacting Corp today my complaint was forwarded to Allen Creek store manager Tess contacted me and really improved my opinion of this store. She took ownership of the problem and was very kind and offered a solution that was very much appreciated!! She also said it would be brought to the attention of the Bakery Manager! She did more than I could have expected I am total satisfied now. read more

Won't be shopping here again. Prices are ridiculous, and wrong on the shelf. When you ask them about the price difference, they tell you the system is right so deal with it. They were out of tons of stuff too- and it's not like it was a busy shopping day today. First time shopper - store is neat and very clean and the checker was very friendly with me and with older gentleman in front of me. I was uncomfortable with the check out lane and that they open lanes next to each other instead of spacing them apart, you end up literally being back to back with another checker and cannot maintain SD. On my way out I decided to stop at that Starbucks, I was the only customer and after standing there for several minutes had get the attention of the young man who was standing there with his eyes closed. I noticed his mask was down on his chin and asked for him to place it on and proceeded to order which he did not take accurately and then responded in a very snarky way and the other female worker chimed in as well. Very unprofessional and not a good representation of Starbucks or Albertsons. Won't go there again. read more

The pharmacy here is terrible, I have given them 7 months to get my scrips right and every month its something. They simply cannot prepare my scrips on the same day despite the fact I set them up to be ready at the same time. The drive through window should be open due to COVID but it rarely is. The employees seemed stressed and are not friendly. This is the worse pharmacy I have ever used. The price of food is high there. Go elsewhere! read more

My comment is with the current process of changing the products in the aisles. Your inability to communicate upcoming changes and have a roving associate to assist with questions hereby vaults you to the top of uncaring local grocery store. Putting a sign up in an aisle stating product x has moved is not helpful, it's obvious that it's moved. Time to spend more $$$ at Fred Meyer & less at your place. read more

Did some shopping on Friday afternoon and as usual the store was clean and well kept up. After arriving home I wanted to eat an orange which was one in the 10 LB. bag I had just purchased. Cutting off the end of the orange it was readily apparent the interior was rotten! Because I wanted to double check I decided to cut another orange and it too was rotten. I know this sometimes happens when fruit isn't stored properly so I took the bag of oranges back on Saturday about noon and the customer service lady didn't say "sorry for your bad experience" or "we'll check our stock to make sure we remove and others that are bad" she actually didn't say anything!!! Just gave me a tired look at my returning the oranges. What poor customer service. I drove 18 miles to buy the oranges originally. Another 18 miles to return the oranges and 18 more miles to get back home. That was after buying some replacement 'good' oranges at the farmers market on Rogue River hwy. I sure wish I was the store manager and could find out how the produce manager checks his/her stock. I would also find someone that could teach customer service personnel how to handle problems such as this and how to interface with customers when they have bought a bad product. Thank you so much. I called the Grants Pass Albertsons to see if the floral department could prepare a bouquet of flowers for my mothers 78th birthday. They said it is not something they do but would look into it. After consulting Mike the store manager and Debbie the florist they decided​ to do it. Debbie produced an amazing bouquet suitable for any Hotel Lobby. Mom said it was the largest​ bouquet she has ever received. Mike personally delivered it to her that afternoon. We are amazed​ at how friendly and helpful the staff are. They never knew it but I was calling in from Canada without many local connections. They ran with the concept and totally delivered. I am so grateful for the effort and kindness. read more

This is the grocery store I use most often. It's close to home and offers a really nice produce and deli section. We also use their seafood and butcher counter quite a bit. The pharmacy staff is very helpful, as well as the rest of the staff at Albertsons! read more

Albertson's is the only grocery store for me. I do not care who owns it, and I do not care about the prices. What I care about is the reliable freshness of the meat and the produce. I shop for several days, so I expect meat and produce to be fresh enough to keep for several days in the refrigerator. While I am new to Grants Pass, I have found the staff, from the butcher counter to the checkout, to be just great. I have not encountered any of the issues concerning staff as reported by other reviewers, so I must conclude that it is their problem. Lastly I appreciate the cleanliness of Albertsons store and storefront. I find it difficult to shop in a grocer's that is as dirty inside and out as some of the other choices in Grants Pass. Albertson's gets an A1 score from me. read more

My only issue with Albertsons relates to there program of " Buy one, get one free" or "Buy one, get two free" because it's typically deceptive........c'mon managers, when you take $2 a lb chicken and double the price to $4, or triple it to $6, just to offer a get one or two free, it's a gimmick and not honestly a bargain......it makes an assumption that the consumer isn't smart enough to look at actual prices, and only sees freebies. Other than that, I'm pleased with the quality and selection of meat and seafood, and there regular sale prices are typically pretty good. They have a pretty good selection of produce, and an excellent variety of craft beer........ read more

Update Again! They sold.... twice! And now it's Albertson's again. They have rid themselves of the snotty employees and have banners near the checkout stands saying that they now have friendlier service. It's true and I feel ok spending my money there now. A new item that they have that I really like is their bulk leaf-tea section. It's pricey, but a wonderful way to sample different kinds of teas. I haven't seen anything like this elsewhere in town. read more
