I've been going to Ray's to get my hair cut for a couple years. Ray does a decent job cutting/trimming men's hair. I don't know if he does females' hair or not. Ray,, generally, does not use an appointment system, though he may make exceptions on Saturdays. His prices are quite reasonable and he is very personable. I will keep going to this shop. read more

When a barber phantoms out of your life(this time Pedro @ The Parlor) the anxiety is ruthless. Yelp led me to the well again with a proximity search. Ray's showed up very near my work and based on Tony G.'s lone review I took the plunge. Ray's is very easy to miss and I will get to the specifics later in my review. This is a tiny two chair barber shop, nothing fancy and nothing repulsive. Ray finished up his lunch and I proceeded with my best effort to explain what I wanted. The result was a very clean, razor sharp cut exactly how I pictured it. Small talk, TV and very laid back; Ray trys to get to know you. Crippled with a tricky location, I'm hoping a few positive Yelp reviews will give this shop some much deserved attention. With the growing trend of the retro Barber Shops, the prices at these places have also escalated. At the time of this review, my cut cost me $7.50. Don't let the low price deceive you though. Awesome haircuts for Marines. I've only seen one civilian in here ever getting snipped up, but they look like they did a great job on him too. 10 bucks for a haircut?! You aren't going to beat that. Growing up I've been to many barbers and salons such as Super Cuts, etc. They charge up to $15 dollars per visit plus tip. Since I found Ray's Barber Shop, not only is his hair cuts lower in price but I 've never been more satisfied with my hair and the way I look. At times I've had to use other barbers because Ray's Shop is closed that day. I try elsewhere in the hopes I can get a decent cut. I always end up disappointed. I now have to pay Ray to fix the poor hair cut I received from the other barber shop. I should have waited another week for Ray. I can only go on Saturdays. Discovered them thanks to Yelp. I recommend getting an appointment as they are very busy. I called when they opened at 10am on Sat and they said come on over. I get there and the 3 stations are already full of people. I don't recall if anyone greeted me (pretty sure nobody did). Then, another person walked in 3 min after me, and I was shocked when they immediately took that person to cut their hair when the next space opened up. It was only after I politely asked "maybe I misunderstood the process here but how do I get my haircut" that they told me they knew this person and that he had an appointment and that I would be next, but communicating that would have been helpful. I think I waited 40 minutes before finally getting my haircut. The positives are that they do a good job cutting hair and the take their time. They are reasonably priced at $10 for a Men's Haircut. And they have widescreen TV to watch while you wait, I think it was DIRECTV as it was tuned to sports. I'd definitely come back. I will just remember to call for an appointment ahead of time. Main suggestion for them is to work on their communication with customers who walk-in. read more

My husband has been going for the past 11 years and now our son goes as well. He charges $8.50 now, which is still a good price because he does a great job. Referred here by a friend. The place has an old school feel. Very friendly place. I went there everyone was hanging out, cracking jokes and talking sports. My Barber retired after cutting my hair for 10 years. I have searched since then for 2 years, and then I found Ray's. Great old school Barber! Simple and clean fades and flat-tops. Very Officer friendly, he does the local PD's and alot of military guys. So if you want simple cuts and hate trying to explain in simple language what you want this is the place. read more

Great place. New in town and came across this barber shop when I was actually navigating to one across the street. Regardless, I'm glad I ended up here. Ray was a stand up guy and gave me the haircut I wanted at a great price. Highly recommended. One tip, the barber shop is on the north end of the building BEHIND the salon on the side of the building. Knowing that will increase your chances of finding the joint.
