*** Cash only ***…read more Yes! Barber is your typical mom-and-pop barber shop located in Westminster. [Parking] A relatively small and tight private parking lot, but plenty of street parking spots available. [Pros] * Friendly barber. * The barber uses compressed air to remove hair. * Same-day appointment only, but I was able to schedule a time slot pretty quickly and one time he said "can you come in the next 30 minutes?" and I said no problem. * One of the more affordable haircut in the neighborhood - $18 for men's haircut and $23 for haircut with shampoo. * The barber is very efficient and good at what he is doing. I showed him a picture of taper cut and he was able to execute it pretty well without too many questions. [Cons] * The shop is operated by the sole barber/owner so he will pause in the middle of haircut to pick up ringing phone calls. * The barber can be slightly rough as he has a tenancy to keep pushing customer's head while cutting and each customer will need to feel and adjust the position of your head for his convenience. I had one of the most head and neck movements for men's haircut. * There's always a slight wait even if you already have an appointment - I arrived on time for my last appointment and I did wait an extra 15 - 20 minutes. * Customers must call to set up an appointment and all appointments must be the same-day appointment. * There's a sign stating 'no restroom for customers'. * No TV here. * I will not recommend paying extra $5 for shampoo - water was cold initially and shampoo was only done once (some places do shampoo before haircut and shampoo again in the middle of haircut). [Conclusion] An affordable local men's haircut and a good spot for anyone who's does not care too much about amenity and only wants to focus on getting the right haircut done.

I took the time to do as much research as possible. I decided to give century cuts barbershop a chance and I haven't gone to any other shop since. Chris always listens and prioritizes the clientele. He is detail oriented and always provides excellent service. He remembers the details of the previous cut and always confirms before he starts. I haven't booked an appointment with the other staff, but I've noticed the vibe and conversation is always friendly. The pricing remains competitive, which is rare to find especially after the pandemic. I would highly recommend Century Cuts Barbershop.

Unfortunately, our first experience was extremely disappointing. I called ahead and was told the only appointment available was at 12:30. I arrived at 12:20 to make sure we were early and on time. When we arrived, Matt told me it would be an hour wait because another customer had just sat down. I'm sorry, but what is the point of making an appointment if I'm still expected to wait an hour? If the barber was running behind, I would have appreciated a phone call before making the trip. I understand that things happen, but an hour wait for a scheduled appointment is not reasonable. Really disappointing, especially because we were hoping to find our new neighborhood barber.

I gotta say, these guys are like surgeons, I have a big head so some haircuts can make my face look bigger and they're dedicated to their work! When you walk in, here's what to expect: * You take a number and it's a usually a long wait and I mean like REALLY LONG. I waited for like 3 hours because there was only one barber that day, so expect at least 30 minutes per person. Also, they take turns taking lunch around noon. So you can always run an errand and come back. "Make sure you call them to see what number they're currently at to see where you are in the queue so you don't lose your place in line." * There's only two barbers, who are brothers and both are very polite. The vibe is very quiet, no music just a TV. Nothing boujee here, just nice cuts. * These guys go the extra mile to cut little baby hairs and make the proper measurements to make your hair like a work of art so make sure you tip them! * They'll give you some input and let you know how much they'll cut before they go any further. * It's cash only, price was $22 at the time of this review.
