[Pros] * Friendly barber. * The barber uses compressed air to remove hair. * Same-day appointment only, but I was able to schedule a time slot pretty quickly and one time he said "can you come in the next 30 minutes?" and I said no problem. * One of the more affordable haircut in the neighborhood - $18 for men's haircut and $23 for haircut with shampoo. * The barber is very efficient and good at what he is doing. I showed him a picture of taper cut and he was able to execute it pretty well without too many questions. [Cons] * The shop is operated by the sole barber/owner so he will pause in the middle of haircut to pick up ringing phone calls. * The barber can be slightly rough as he has a tenancy to keep pushing customer's head while cutting and each customer will need to feel and adjust the position of your head for his convenience. I had one of the most head and neck movements for men's haircut. * There's always a slight wait even if you already have an appointment - I arrived on time for my last appointment and I did wait an extra 15 - 20 minutes. * Customers must call to set up an appointment and all appointments must be the same-day appointment. * There's a sign stating 'no restroom for customers'. * No TV here. * I will not recommend paying extra $5 for shampoo - water was cold initially and shampoo was only done once (some places do shampoo before haircut and shampoo again in the middle of haircut). [Conclusion] An affordable local men's haircut and a good spot for anyone who's does not care too much about amenity and only wants to focus on getting the right haircut done.

When this barbershop was fairly new. The haircuts and customer service were great , but over time. It kept getting worse. Especially from this tall tanned asian dude looking like a hipster. Hes always high off of something. I remember getting a haircut from him and he left me 2 cuts on my head with the blade while giving me a line up. During this haircut he was talking to another co worker saying he had to get his car fixed because someone poured a bucket of paint all over his car because im sure the reason why is because he messed up someones haircut. Because hes always fucking high. I know hes high too because they talk about being high and his eyes are so wide open from being on some weird shit he never looked like that before. So far who ive seen high and leave cuts on their clients head were shelly, hipster asian dude and Juan but i dont think Juan & Shelly gets high often as that tall asian hipster guy does. The place seems to be quiet and in order is when the owner Kenny is there. P.s ive been here like 10 or more times just to see if they're are getting better but they seem to get worse. cant say about now i havent been there for awhile fact from having a fear to return to experience an awful haircut and horrible customer service read more

So moving here from LA and not being able to find a barbershop since I've moved down here has been terrible. Luckily yesterday I decided to look again on Yelp and found this place. I live in HB so the drive was about 7-10 minutes but maaaaan was it worth it. I'm black so I was worried if they knew how to cut it. I was greeted And took a seat. 15 minutes later it was my turn. When I got the mirror I almost cried and knew that I had found the place I was looking for (took me over 4months) I'll Be coming here every week for a line up a taper. We have been here about 4 times, I always come back thinking that I might get better luck with service, but no the more we come the worst Customer service we get! The barbers take who ever they want ((or know)) next, and when you think you are finally next the barber decides to get on their phone or sit outside! Wth!?!? So you are still waiting. prices are good, but you get what you pay for. I'm wondering if some of these guys are even license bc I don't see their license out like it should be. The barber who cut my hair seemed well-intentioned, and I did tip him for the time and conversation, but the end result wasn't close to what I asked for. I came in with longer hair and a fairly full beard. I requested a low fade with a number two, a light trim on top, and a shaped and trimmed beard. I also explained that I use only a small amount of product and keep a longer style so I can comb the parted side and the top back. Early on, when the clippers with the number two guard went straight up to just below my temple, it was clear it was not going to be a low fade. I decided to wait and see how it would come together, but it never really did. I left with what looks like a straight number two on both sides with minimal blending, not enough length on the part side to style it the way I described, and an uneven top with noticeable edges on both sides. The beard work was also uneven, especially under the neck, and my cheeks and neck were not fully cleaned up. The straight razor portion also left my skin irritated and red for the rest of the day and into the next morning as I write this. I was seated about 15 minutes after my appointment, which I can understand since services can run over. But by the time I was turned around to see the final front/back, I had been in the shop for close to an hour and a half. At that point, after seeing the end result that deep bad haircut disappointment hit, and I just did not have it in me in the moment nor did I have the time to stay longer, to raise the issue. I paid/tipped and left. I am used to getting a simple, consistent cut at a small family salon but hey do not offer beard services, which is why I decided to try a barber. This shop is close to my house, so I wanted it to be a good fit, but the outcome and overall value were not what I expected.

[Pros] * Friendly barber. * The barber uses compressed air to remove hair. * Same-day appointment only, but I was able to schedule a time slot pretty quickly and one time he said "can you come in the next 30 minutes?" and I said no problem. * One of the more affordable haircut in the neighborhood - $18 for men's haircut and $23 for haircut with shampoo. * The barber is very efficient and good at what he is doing. I showed him a picture of taper cut and he was able to execute it pretty well without too many questions. [Cons] * The shop is operated by the sole barber/owner so he will pause in the middle of haircut to pick up ringing phone calls. * The barber can be slightly rough as he has a tenancy to keep pushing customer's head while cutting and each customer will need to feel and adjust the position of your head for his convenience. I had one of the most head and neck movements for men's haircut. * There's always a slight wait even if you already have an appointment - I arrived on time for my last appointment and I did wait an extra 15 - 20 minutes. * Customers must call to set up an appointment and all appointments must be the same-day appointment. * There's a sign stating 'no restroom for customers'. * No TV here. * I will not recommend paying extra $5 for shampoo - water was cold initially and shampoo was only done once (some places do shampoo before haircut and shampoo again in the middle of haircut). [Conclusion] An affordable local men's haircut and a good spot for anyone who's does not care too much about amenity and only wants to focus on getting the right haircut done.
