*** Cash only *** Yes! Barber is your typical mom-and-pop barber shop located in Westminster. [Parking] A relatively small and tight private parking lot, but plenty of street parking spots available. [Pros] * Friendly barber. * The barber uses compressed air to remove hair. * Same-day appointment only, but I was able to schedule a time slot pretty quickly and one time he said "can you come in the next 30 minutes?" and I said no problem. * One of the more affordable haircut in the neighborhood - $18 for men's haircut and $23 for haircut with shampoo. * The barber is very efficient and good at what he is doing. I showed him a picture of taper cut and he was able to execute it pretty well without too many questions. [Cons] * The shop is operated by the sole barber/owner so he will pause in the middle of haircut to pick up ringing phone calls. * The barber can be slightly rough as he has a tenancy to keep pushing customer's head while cutting and each customer will need to feel and adjust the position of your head for his convenience. I had one of the most head and neck movements for men's haircut. * There's always a slight wait even if you already have an appointment - I arrived on time for my last appointment and I did wait an extra 15 - 20 minutes. * Customers must call to set up an appointment and all appointments must be the same-day appointment. * There's a sign stating 'no restroom for customers'. * No TV here. * I will not recommend paying extra $5 for shampoo - water was cold initially and shampoo was only done once (some places do shampoo before haircut and shampoo again in the middle of haircut). [Conclusion] An affordable local men's haircut and a good spot for anyone who's does not care too much about amenity and only wants to focus on getting the right haircut done. read more

Rum gave great haircut. He enjoyed what he's doing and it show. You will need to call to make same day appointment.

1st time getting a haircut from yes barber today and I would highly recommend. The barber rum did an amazing job with fading my hair, and for a great price. He will be my go to barber in orange county. read more

As someone who is incredibly picky with my hair, I'm always nervous trying a new barber--but Rum absolutely nailed it. I showed him a photo of exactly what I was looking for, and he delivered a cut that was 100% spot on. Beyond his skill with the shears, Rum is a great guy to talk to and makes the whole experience very comfortable. I was so happy with the results that I'm already heading back this week for my second visit. If you're meticulous about your hair, definitely go see Rum! read more

I gave this barbershop a shot based on positive Yelp reviews... big mistake. Parking is limited, so plan to park in the neighborhood. Bring cash. The shop looks professional with high-end equipment, but that only gets you so far. The barber had tattoos on both arms and was in the second chair to the right. Seemed nice, but the haircut experience was rough. I asked for a 2 on the sides, faded to 0.5, and a trim on top for a clean side part. He sprayed water everywhere, moved my head roughly, and then declared me "done" without showing a mirror. When I asked about the fade, he said he "blended it." He used a single guard on the sides and then switched clippers to "clean" the edges and neckline. It was nothing like the fade I requested. I was pissed because he said I looked good... but he didn't listen to what I said. Paid and left. Honestly, the negative reviews (1-3 stars) are accurate. If you just want a basic guard cut, maybe he's fine. Anything detailed is a gamble. read more

This is my favorite place to go. I've tried a few places in the area before I settled here. I always get good energy from him, he's consistent, and he doesn't overly prod me for conversation like some other barbers I've tried here. He takes same day appointments so give him a call first if you decide to try read more

Called early an appointment when he opened and got in for a quick hair cut for my 4 year old son and I. Few more customers came during our cut so definitely call ahead for an appointment! He's always so friendly and professional! read more

HIGHLY Recommend this place!!! Mr. Rum is very friendly and professional. Same day appointment only by calling to reserve your slot. I would recommend calling ahead bc he is booked and busy on the daily basis. He can cater to whatever hairstyle you want. I just show him the style that I wanted. The fun part of this experience is that he has compressed air to remove hair instead of brushing. The price is super affordable. CASH ONLY! Chase bank is next door if needed. read more

This is the best barbershop in Westminster strongly recommend know's how to cut hair and knows how to do all types of styles

Chill, kind, great haircut, about 30 minutes slot, affordable. Tip the guy well! Hilarious that he uses compressed air to blow away hair bits instead of a brush or blow dryer, what am I, a tire? You can only call for appointments the day of, fyi. And he's cash only but there's a Chase bank next to his shop. Came down from LA for this guy, can't wait to go back. read more

Great Haircut. Can't wait to see him for my next haircut. Place was clean and conducive to men's haircuts.

It's my first time to get my hair cut by Rum and I definitely wasn't disappointed. He was attentive and precise. I will be coming back!

Rum is the best!! My fiancé has experienced several barbers, but Rum was just exceptional. His technique is above and beyond many. He showed him his haircut from Prague and Rum knew exactly what he wanted and verbalized what he was going to do. Besides his technique, Rum is such a wonderful person with such character. He is happy and so funny. Even though I was sitting on the side waiting, he didn't ignore me and still conversed with me as well. He does work by himself, so he gets so busy. You can't make an appointment with him, but he does give our tickets so you can hold your spot. We went by around 1pm and there were at least 5 guys sitting waiting for their haircut. He told us the next availability was at 4:30pm. We came back around 4:40 pm and only waited maybe 5 minutes as he finished up his clients haircut. So his timing is pretty precise. He doesn't seem rushed to get the clients out- he truly wants you to come in and walk out with an amazing haircut. He is a hidden gem and I feel so lucky I was able to find him! read more

Yes! Barber - Even got the grooves in the back! - Barbers Near Me - Westminster, California

This is a great place for a haircut. It has been my go-to for the past few years. Always left this place satisfied with my cut.

I got a fantastic haircut here and it was done in 15-20 minutes! Will definitely be my go to barber!!!

I came to this barber shop with the hope of it being my go-to barber. The positive reviews really got me interested to try this place, but boy, was it a huge disappointment. How did this barber shop get such great reviews? I'm a bit confused as the barber, Rum, did not know what he was doing or maybe, he didn't understand what I asked for. Maybe the lighting was off, hence the uneven crooked cut. Or, maybe, he was having an off day and needs to take it out on someone and I just happened to be that unlucky person. Maybe, he wasn't wearing his glasses. I don't know but he really did a terrible job on my cut. I actually had to go to another place to fix his less than subpar hair cut job cuz he didn't seem to understand any of my instructions and I wasn't about to give him another one so that he can mess up my hair even more. I mean, the guy was friendly and all, but friendly doesn't pay the bills, nor does it mean you're going to get a decent cut. Oh yeah! Please sharpen your blades or get new ones and sterilize them. I don't think that I will be going to this barber shop for any haircut/style needs. I don't want to catch tetanus or something worse. read more

I've been going to see Rome for my haircut for years now and he is the absolute best of all barbers I been to around the GG/Westminster area. I love him because he works extremely hard, he's respectful, and takes his time to pay attention to the small details. Plus, you can't beat $15 for a fresh men's haircut!!! He takes appointments too so go check him out and tell all your buddies you won't regret it!! read more

Rum is great barber. He understands what I like and made it right at the first try. Will come back regularly. No wonder he's busy most of the time with returning customers. Recommend calling to make an appointment. read more

Moved to the area, needed a new guy, Rum shows up on here as highly reviewed with lots of guys recommending him. Really good, introduced a part for me and I liked it so will continue doing it. $10 is very cheap, tend to tip a bit more since he's a cool guy, want him to do well. Everything seems true, except more friendly and personable than I thought. Just make sure to call for appointment to double check until that stops being a thing. Maybe it is now that it's Tier 4. Cheers! read more

Yes! Barber - This is what I get. Worst hair cut ever in my life - Barbers Near Me - Westminster, California

Excellent service will recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a quick inexpensive haircut

Great price for level of friendly and professional service. Highly recommend coming here. Best by appointment, drop ins are no guaranteed.

The pros: very nice staff, did feel forced to talk, nice interior, enough seats while waiting, pretty gentle, low price($13), worked on my beard a little when I didn't ask The cons: didn't get what I asked for, felt kinda rushed, very little parking in the lot, the hair on the top doesn't blend well with the sides I asked for a mid taper that goes from 2 to skin fade and a little off the top so I can slick it back. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to try to let the barber fix it. Despite there being more pros than cons, the cons where really bad in my opinion. I feel like no matter how I try to style it, it looks weird. read more

Fresh cuts and good vibes. This barbershop knows how to hook it up! I walked in looking scruffy and walked out looking fresh as ever. The barbers here got skills, no doubt. They took their time, paid attention to detail, and gave me a killer haircut. Plus, the atmosphere was chill, with good tunes playing in the background. The prices were fair too, I paid $20 and that's including tips. Rom is chill and friendly. read more

My husband and I were in town for vacation and decided to get a hair cut. We randomly googled a barber nearby and found Yes! Barber Rum. This place only takes appointments but made an exception for my husband. Let's first say, shop appearance was awesome! They had large tool/workshop boxes as cabinets! Very unique, clean and welcoming. He worked so fast but diligently! He puts so much care in his cuts and did not settle for ok. His appointment came in and he knew them by name. He did not rush and just kept on cutting. Very professional, personable, and it was a pleasure meeting him. It's too bad we are not local! We highly recommend scheduling for a cut! Thanks for the last min walk in and wonderful service and cut! read more
